We always stop by when in the Condado. The service is always excellent and the food never disappoints. They serve large portions and its prepared well. Great decor and the restaurant is very clean. Always a great experience.

Loved the vibes, the bright lights and the service from Alondra and her trainer - they were amazing. The food was amazing. We had the apps - meatballs, octopus, and mozzarella and prosciutto. It was tasty, fresh, perfectly seasoned..... just delish! Then we had the bronzino and the salmon ... been to the one in Boston also and perfect is the word to describe... The hostess (young girl, curly hair needed to tweak her attitude a bit - she didn't like the idea of us asking the process of being seated without reservations) but that would not stop us from returning

Farfalle al Limoncello

Serafina had a vibrant atmosphere. There were two bars and one was outside. Te weather was nice. I started with the Al Calore. It was a sweet shrimp dish. Very filling. Then we had the Farfalle Al Limoncello and the Lasagna. The portions were large. Both had a great flavor. Roberto was our bartender. He was so nice and friendly and observant. He offered drinks when they were almost empty. There were so many options to choose from. Will try the pizza next.

Chicken linguine with bacon

I've seen the Serafina chain around NYC before and was craving Italian cuisine so I decided to give it a try here in Puerto Rico. First thought the ambience was hip and trendy with graffiti like murals on the walls. Since it was a hot and humid summer night, I decided to sit inside to beat the heat, but unfortunately I could barely feel the AC. For my meal, I ordered the meatball appetizers and the chicken linguine. The portions were pretty generous and I feel like I could have easily shared my pasta, considering we had appetizers as well. The meatballs were pretty standard. It didn't have as much flavor as I'd hope in the meet itself, so I found myself constantly re-dipping it in the marinara sauce. The chicken linguine, although large in portions, lacked depth in flavor. It was overwhelmingly creamy. I found myself adding a couple rounds of cracked black pepper to try to give it some complexity. This is when I realized that this is the quality/standard I get for dining at an Italian chain restaurant. The service was great and I had no complaints. I'm a thirsty girl and drink a lot of water. Thankfully my waiter was attentive and kept refilling my glass. Overall, my experience at Serafina was OK. I feel like there are definitely better Italian restaurants at this price point. But if you go into it looking for value, then maybe it's not too bad.

Goat cheese salad

The vibes at this place and the service are phenomenal!! Our waiter was the sweetest, and he was always checking in on us to make sure everything was great. The goat cheese salad was good, but we both felt like it was too sweet. It could've done with a bit less honey to make it more balanced. Now THE MAIN COURSE. OMG. The chicken carbonara and the seafood risotto were both A++. I really loved how much seafood was included in the risotto and everything was just perfectly cooked. The pasta had a great smokey flavor and was also filled with protein. The passion mojito left something to be desired -- it was a bit bland when compared with the rest of the meal. Overall, amazing restaurant and would definitely return for some great Italian food.

It's good. The prosciutto is fire and the salads are great. The service is fine, but feel we weren't really cared about that much. The ginger fizz mocktail is delicious.

We stopped by Serafina for a late dinner on our last night in Puerto Rico and it was a great choice! We sat at the bar and our server was super friendly and had some great recommendations. We ordered an appetizer, a couple of drinks and shared an entrée and it was the perfect amount of food! The atmosphere was vibey and the November weather made dining outside even better.

Overall, the food was very good. The service was great. The ambiance is funky, beach, Italian inspired. See picture of the inside. One guest did not like the taste of the water. We should have ordered bottled water. Next time.

Ravioli was good but cold as well.

Service was horrible. Place is empty and all employees on phones or in the corner chatting it up. I had to look for the bartender numerous times just to order a drink, then to order food. Food issues and check. And another drink. I know it's Island time but insane. Pizza was raw even though I asked specifically for well done back. I had to send back. It took twenty minutes and all they did was put under a heat lamp. Still raw. Two bites out of a $25 pizza. Never again. I'll stick to your NY locations. This place needs a rescue big time.

I was drawn to this place by the smell of the food from outside of the restaurant while walking in SJPR. We did outdoor seating in the evening which was great nice weather. Drinks service was fast, food service took a while to a point where i had to ask "how much longer?" It didn't help that i was hungry lol. Overall the food was good the scenery is good i don't feel like there was anything special about it but if your look for a nice Scenic dinner this would be the place. They did mention that the reason why my food took long was because they had a big party inside.

Bruchetta- vegetarian appetizer

Feb 16, 2025 review Tried this place for lunch, around 1pm and was able to get seat quickly. Nice ambience and location is very prime in condado area. It's located on the Ashford avenue, walkable from lot of apartments and hotels. Decent number of options for vegetarian. Couple of pasta and pizzas. We got primavera pizza- which on description says tomatoes, mushrooms and seasonal garden vegetables. So basically tomatoes sauce and whatever vegetables they have. I asked for mushrooms replacement but was told they can only remove or add extra but no replacement allowed.i was told it will have onion, bell pepper and other veggies. Eventually I got just tomatoes, olives, a little of Chinese broccoli and that's it. Our waiter spreaded extra cheese on top of it. Bruchetta - DO NOT RECOMMEND it. Very hard bread and it just cut tomatoes put on it. No flavor at all. Apparently they were suppose to put basil and EVOO but I didn't see/got a slight flavor of it. Overall nice ambience and music going on. Clean women bathroom. They had sink attached to each restroom. But somehow the one I used only has super hot water coming through sink and it felt was burning my hand. There is a common sink outside the restroom and water temperature was ok in there.

The view from outside tables! Gorgeous

Amazing Experience at Serafina! I'm visiting Puerto Rico for the first time and staying at La Concha Resort, and Serafina truly made my trip even more special. Last night around 10:20 PM, I ordered the pesto gnocchi to my room and was so impressed the food arrived incredibly fast, perfectly hot, and absolutely delicious. I loved it so much that I came back today! This time I tried the Arugula Parmigiano salad and the passion fruit mojito. Everything was so fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The service, the taste, and the overall experience were exceptional. Highly recommend Serafina to anyone visiting San Juan I can't wait to come back!

The portions were TINY!! Quite expensive as well. The main course pasta dish was 6 small pieces of ravioli and quite heavy on the salt.

I shared the 6 hour Neapolitan sauce and the pistachio pesto gnocchi. Both were wonderful. We had the eggplant parm appetizer and it was the best I have ever had and I have had many different eggplant parms.. For dessert we had pancetta and tiramisu. Both lived up to the standards the rest of the meal had set. I can't wait to come back to Puerto Rico so I can enjoy their delicious food again. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We ordered a bottle of Fiano (a wine we really enjoy and was on the menu). They didn't have it. We settled for Chardonnay. It was good. We asked for bread. They didn't have any!!! (What? An Italian restaurant with no bread?) not a great start. Having said all that, the rest for our food was amazing! The arancini and the eggplant were exquisite. I ordered the steak (yeah I know) but it was amazing. The sauce, the potatoes. Just delicious. Our guests had the lasagna and my husband ordered the pizza. They were very satisfied with their meals. The ambiance is quaint. Old Italian. Clean. I would train servers to know what's available and what's not. Prevent from ordering and being disappointed. In addition, if you don't have bread and make pizza, you have bread. You can make it out of pizza dough in a pinch for those who ask. Italian red sauce without bread... it's a big miss. If your equipment is broken, buy the bread. I think they should have given us the dessert based on the misses. Nonetheless, the entrees were very good.

Everything we ordered was very good, and on an extremely hot day, I was especially appreciative of how well the A/C was keeping up. I was actually a little cold--and I'm never cold. It felt so nice after getting overheated right before we got there. One thing I noticed while wandering around Old San Juan is that some restaurants likely survive on location and foot traffic alone, while others earn people seeking them out. Semilla definitely felt like the latter. It's tucked just around the corner from some of the busiest pedestrian areas, so it felt like we escaped the crowds for a little while without actually going very far. Overall, I'd happily come back. If you're staying nearby and looking for a good meal without being surrounded by the busiest tourist crowds, Semilla is well worth checking out.

Luckily, there was a gentleman outside directing people in, otherwise we may have walked right past it. Once you climb the two flights of stairs, you're rewarded with a beautiful dining space. The restaurant has a rustic, old-world charm with gorgeous décor and an Italian-inspired atmosphere. It immediately felt warm and inviting. There were four of us dining, and we started with two appetizers: the Setas Rellenas and the Chorizo al Vino. Both were excellent, but the Chorizo al Vino was my absolute favorite--absolutely delicious! For my entrée, I ordered the chicken lasagna. I expected chunks of chicken, but it was made with shredded chicken, and wow--it was incredible. The flavor was outstanding, and it ended up being one of my favorite meals of our trip. My husband ordered the beef lasagna, which was also made with shredded beef rather than traditional ground beef. He absolutely loved it. Our friends ordered the Milanesa de Berenjena and the Milanesa de Pollo with a side of gnocchi, and both raved about their meals as well. Since nearly every table seemed to be ordering pizza, we knew we had to try one. We ordered a small pizza for the table, and each of us had a slice. Now we understand why they're known for their pizza--it was fantastic! A special shoutout to our server, Rouil Rodz, who was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. Don't let the unassuming entrance fool you. This restaurant is a hidden gem with a beautiful atmosphere, outstanding food, and excellent service. If you're visiting Old San Juan, I highly recommend adding it to your list.
