The customer service is horrible! My son's car failed inspection NO problem we had the lower control arm replaced because of a bad ball joint No problem. My son took his car back to be reinspected, he called his mom saying the technician told him the part was loose and not installed properly no problem.. So why didn't you call and tighten the loose part charge us and complete the inspection. I called to complain, I was called back immediately and greeted with a very pushy rude store manager. She asked who installed the part I then asked what part was loose the control arm was loose she said. I then asked was the entire control arm or just the ball joint after going in circles and tell me how it's not her job the diagnose a problem she then tells me the ball joint was loose. So why not bill me and finish the job a minor mistake very rude very unprofessional and guess what I found out the manager and person performing state inspections Is not only the store manager but also THE OWNER!!! No wonder they have such a low rating with that kind of customer service.... never again read more

I SHOULD HAVE READ REVIEWS HERE FIRST!! ZERO stars! They are a FRAUD! BE AWARE OF THESE CROOKS!! Not sure why they are still in business. They have turned service down several times. They say they cannot do it. And now I know why!! I could not find an appointment elsewhere when the engine light, on my newer Focus, and the faulty transmission sign came on the panel They ran a diagnostic that took 15 min.; charged me $79 and did not check for a vehicle recall! The women in the front, the owner, said "It is what it is, drive the car until it dies... !" I told her the car only has 48K!! I asked them to check the transmission fluid, they said only the dealer can do that and told me to take to Ford. Two days later the car broke down in the middle of the highway! It would not change gears and only moved at 5-10 mi. an hour. I manage to take it to the nearest Auto Shop (CARTECH off Iron Bridge Rd. by the U-Hall) and it was the best thing ever! They were honest, quick, charged me only $45 and gave me a complete report on a RECALL, with all details and everything. When I called Seredni to tell them I should sue them for not disclosing the recall, they said it is not their obligation to search for recalls!! And the person in the front said it was hard to believe that anyone would tell me to just drive the car until it breaks completely. What a bunch of dishonest and liars. They refused to give me an money back and kept. The woman owner never called me back. Barton, the manager said she will not refund anything and she will tell me the same: "It is not their obligation to disclose any recalls!" Go to Cartech. They are the real deal! read more

Be aware! I was a faithful customer bringing my vehicle for inspections and oil changes and to purchase tires. However, they changed my oil two weeks ago and "did not fully replace the oil plug ."As a result, my engine was damaged. Two reputable companies diagnosed the damage, and Serenity was identified liable by GMC corporate, GMC Midlothian, and Chevrolet on Jefferson Davis. GMC corporate suggested I seek legal action since I had to pay $8,600 to repair my vehicle. Unfortunately, as of today, I have yet to be reimbursed for the damages. Even though I supplied all the diagnostic reports and GMC corporate information to resolve the matter, they have yet to respond shockingly. At this point, I will have to secure a lawyer and fight it out in court. Hopefully, by reading this, no one else will experience such negligence! read more

As a auto repair shop , if you're going to place a rejection stick on a vehicle , please provide a record of why it didn't pass inspection. & if you don't provide it initially ,there should not be a reason we should be jumping through hoops just to get a copy. I have been taking my cars here for 8 years now and never had a issue with them until I recently went to get a inspection and a oil change. I waited a whole hour just about for them to tell me that they couldn't get my oil plug out in order to do my oil change and that I needed to come back. Brought it back the next day and they still couldn't get the oil plug/cap off, and said that I will need a new oil pan which would cost me over $500. My issue is that they're the ONLY ones that do my oil changes, if I needed a new oil pan, why wasn't I notified the last time I brought it in for a oil change?. Any other time they will give me a heads up if something need to be replaced soon (such as my tires) ‍. I've took my car to Firestone and VW dealership (keep in mind that they didn't even touch my car at all) and everyone that I spoken too said that I shouldn't be paying the full price for something they did, and that they probably stripped it or put it on too tight. I called them to let them know how I felt and that I shouldn't be paying full price for something they did and they lady that I was on the phone with put me on hold for about 2 mins and hung up the phone (didn't even attempt to call back). I called back again and started going off on a different person that answered the phone and then he head the common sense to get me on the phone with the manager. I told her that I felt like they stripped or put my oil plug on too tight and she stated that they didn't, but I can bring on the following Monday to take a look at it. Why would I bring my vehicle back for the third time so you can tell me that you can't get it off? Then you said that y'all didn't do anything to it, so that made me feel that I would still be paying full price for some sh*t that I shouldn't be paying for. I've recently just got my car back from the Volkswagen dealership and I had to pay $590.96. If you have a German car..my advice to you is to take it to the dealership instead of places like these. read more

I took my truck in for a power window motor problem and this is the finished outcome when i complained they told me that was the way it was when it came in. However, every problem which walked thru the door ended up being checked out while I sat there. Two hours later and my car still hasn't been inspected. I usually have fairly good service with this place and have always had friendly service up until today. I took my car in for inspection and was met with the typical friendly service; however after looking at my car I was met with a unfriendly mechanic who told me my driver's side window didn't go down and I needed a new motor to fix the problem, would be $360. The window went down this morning, granted a little slow but did go down and back up. I took a few minutes to call my husband about the window and what he would like to do; and in speaking with him he was under the impression as long as the window worked it should pass. I went back inside to ask the front desk person, John, about having the mechanic check again and to ask if I would really receive a rejection sticker if the window worked but was initially slow on it's way down. I never got to finish my question when a woman, who apparently is the owner, completely interrupted me and shut me down. She went on a rant about how yes it does fail inspection if it doesn't go down and I have 15 days to get it repaired. She went on further about how I will get a ticket and I can only drive it directly to get it fixed somewhere. I attempted to reply I know all of this, I was simply trying to ask a question to verify necessary repair. Again, I wasn't allowed to finish my thought; and she went into a story about a customer failing inspection, driving off, something broke and she wrecked at the light right outside causing her child to become brain dead. The look on my face must have said a lot because she immediately replied with she knew my window didn't compare to the other person's broken steering column. SERIOUSLY? This was over the top and I decided to just pay for rejection sticker and leave. As I left, I rolled my window up and down over 50 times on my way to another mechanic. Granted it was slow rolling down for the 1st inch but once past that point it went down the rest of the way fine and back up just fine. I stopped at another mechanic, showed them what the window was doing asked if that really fails inspection and they said no. I went an extra step further and asked another mechanic at a dealership and he said no. I'm not sure what this owner's problem is and why she felt the need to defend her mechanic and not listen to me; but it was completely uncalled for, and extremely unprofessional. The place that completed my inspection did tell me I could take my care back over there and show them and they would have to pass my car; but my interaction with the owner was so horrible she can keep my money and I will happily pay my new mechanic for the inspection. read more

This place is the worst... They never do what you need and there is a really pushy lady at the counter bossing everyone around. Detail- I allow them to change my oil in a 2009 Toyota Avalon should I change my oil added 4 quarts of oil which cost me double the price as the coupon that they gave me and then sold me an air filter which is cool. Afterwards my dash lights begin to come on. So either way if it's possible by changing the air filter that other issues will come up you should have told me that before you told me the air filter. Secondly if you only do what the customer asked you won't create problems for the customer that they are not ready to deal with I only wanted an oil change. Now you created a problem for me and you have offered no solution do not take your car to this location on Ironbridge Road. you've been warned! read more

I agree completely with the previous review. BEWARE, this is not the place to ever trust to do your inspection, even with their half off coupon. They seem to use the inspection PURELY as a means to find something wrong, even when it is within the legal definition of passing. There is a concept of play or wear or tolerance which this place isn't concerned with. They just want easy cash and will use cheapo parts to do repairs that will fail faster than the part they removed would have. Their repair costs are ridiculously high. I have needed to bring my vehicle back 3 times for the same repair they did to have it re-done, and never actually getting fixed. Same code kept coming back. Do yourself a favor, don't test my experiences with your future experience. Go elsewhere! read more

I stopped in to get my oil changed and my tires rotated (When you buy tires at Seredni, they take care of this for you, free of charge). Nothing extraordinary, but I have to say, I've been coming to this Seredni location for a number of years, and not only have I gotten great service, but I've gotten it consistently. Sometimes it can be challenging to find a shop with good service at great prices, and that's why I love this place so much. You know, not only are the staff helpful and friendly, but what really stands out is how knowledgable these guys are. My car is important to me, and for the safety of my family. Went in for replacement of front struts. Was told I had to provide VIN for correct parts to be ordered. (I was able to locate parts online without VIN). They told me I may need all struts replaced and it would be $2000.00. How does it go from my asking for the front struts replaced to I need all replaced. They never pulled it in the shop. When confronted with this they became very defensive stating it most likely would need all replaced. I took to my regular mechanic earlier in the day for other repairs and he said the front struts would need replaced but was unable to do that repair in the time I needed it completed. We have been taking our 2009 Toyota Sienna to this location for about three years now. We started there just doing oil changes but in Dec 2011 they sold us a set of tires as well. We went with their recommendation for the type and brand of tire, Kelly Touring. They also include in their package a free tire rotation with an oil change. We went to them for oil changes over the next 2 years and always asked them to rotate the tires as well. Now the tires are ruined in about 25k miles which is below their rating. We took it to another shop for an opinion and they said the tires were bad and were crap to begin with. They told us they were wearing all wrong because they were not good tires. We called Seredni about this and they said the tires had been discontinued and when they looked up our records they show NEVER rotating the tires. They claimed Toyota vans wear out tires fast and that we could try to go to Goodyear about it but they doubted anything could be done. I find this an appalling lack of customer service and will never ever recommend or take any auto there. They need to stand behind the products they sell. In addition to this, one time an oil change was done and they did not tighten the drain plug properly so thank god for a low oil light! They immediately did another oil change when we called but this could have cost us the engine. My gut feeling about the tires is they were pushing these crap tires because they knew they were going to be discontinued and wanted to get rid of as many of them as fast as possible. When they never rotated our tires when we specifically asked to only confirms this theory. Also, when the tires were discontinued why did they not warn us about bad wear on these tires they sold us? Even if all this is off base a good shop would have noticed the bad wear on tires and said something to us about it when they did an oil change would they not? In any case we got no satisfaction from them and not even an apology. Avoid this place. read more
