Honestly, I don't understand the bad reviews on Yelp + Google. The staff was incredibly friendly, they all made sure I was comfortable, walked me through any and all procedures before doing them, showed me how much it all costs and explained it to me (which I'm very thankful for because I don't understand how it all works with insurance), I had a pretty bad emergency situation and they got me in within the hour! I experienced no pain whatsoever with my dentist. He was super kind, again explained everything out to me, gave me options beforehand, and during treatment he checked on me multiple times asking if I needed a break, if I was okay, even when he said I would feel pressure I truly didn't really feel a thing! I used to love this dental office and always trusted them with anything they suggested regarding dental care or bills for myself and my family. Recently I noticed a change in everything they say or do. I felt VERY uncomfortable with their practice, suggestions and also started seeing charges on my insurance bills that were completely made up and false! I contacted my insurance and they conducted an investigation and made them send some of the money back, regarding false X-ray charges but not the portion related to "evaluation claim", since that part is basically my word against theirs...! I will not go to more details here but my suggestion to you ALL is to be very careful before agreeing to any procedures. Make sure you consult with other dentists for a second opinion and PLEASE make sure to review your bills to see what they charge you/your insurance. It doesn't matter if your out of pocket is zero. If they are not truthful about charging your insurance that means you cannot trust them with anything they tell you regarding your healthcare. Very unfortunate but I had to change our dentist. It is very sad and disappointing when you love and trust someone/something and they break your trust. read more

This place wastes your time. For my annual check up cleaning, I thought it would take about an hour as it did in other places. The doctor examined me first which was done in 15 min. Then I had to wait 45 min for the hygienist. The total appointment took about 2 hours. They should start with a cleaning and have the doctor come in after. I won't go back again. EDIT: They were keep on calling me, but I didn't hear any apology. Correction: It was 35 min not 45 min wait. Still other places do cleaning first then do exams. Because a cleaning always takes about an hour, but the exam time can vary. If one finishes early they can leave early. If that's how you run your business that's fine. I see as logistic flaw. You should know patients' time is precious, too. It's my prerogative to share my experience with others and take my business elsewhere. And stop pestering me with scolding phone calls. Neither I have time to take your calls, nor do I have time to waste waiting in a dental chair. read more

Dr Shery called me to remove this review,she said it ruined their reputation and career, but never mentioned they ruined my gums, never admitted it was an accident and who's responsible for my gums? She never saw what my gums look like ,but insisted the hygienist did nothing wrong. She asked me to get a second opinion, I did. But nothing could change her attitude.She can't stop asking which dentist I will see next and the office's name. That's weird. I have been a patient of Dr. Ali Mansouri for many years. He and his staff have always been professional and knowledgeable. I just recently got a crown to replace a huge filling on a tooth that was ready to fracture. The procedure was quick and painless. Dr. Mansouri asked me to go to his dental lab in Orange for a custom shade. I was so impressed by his desire to make my crown match perfectly. The lab was also fabulous. I had avoided the dentist for the last few years and finally decided it was time to stop delaying--so I tried out Serene Dental. What an EXPERIENCE! To start, it is in a convenient location, has plenty of parking, and is in well maintained building. Upon arrival, the gals at the front desk were very sweet and helpful. I was brought back to the first area for pictures of my teeth where I was helped by Fabby. She is AMAZING. I've only been here once so far, but I am assuming she is like the "House Mom" of the group. She is sweet, and caring and when I told her I was a little nervous and felt bad that it had been so long since seeing a dentist, she joked with me and did everything possible to help calm my nerves. She is truly a kind soul. We were chatting about life, she told me about her kids, and then was beaming with excitement for her coworker Sophia, who is pregnant and introduced me. That's the kind of team they have here-- they are excited for you to meet everyone! Although Sophia was not part of my dental visit, she was the most adorable pregnant gal and so sweet. From there, I had a consult and met with Dr. Ali Mansouri and let me tell you even if my insurance did not cover-- I would go back again anyway! He was informative (which is important to me since I want to know exactly what they're looking at) and very caring regarding my teeth and any concerns I had. You can tell he really cares that each person he interacts with is having a good experience and is open for answering any questions. It's quite comforting. Then, my last step was Jasmine, the actual cleaning. Jasmine was very sweet. I actually was not her biggest fan in the moment-- only because she is the person who has to poke at your gums and do all the cleaning things that people like me dread about going to the dentist, but she was very precise and informative and even put on TV for me on the ceiling so I could take my mind off the cleaning! After she was done, my teeth felt brand new again-- and my smile was bigger than ever. When I got home that evening, my husband even commented on how white and refreshed my teeth look now! I will be back for sure. And if you are one of those people who is terrified about going to the dentist or just hates going in to get ridiculed about not taking better care of your teeth-- I suggest you try Serene Dental. Dr. Mansouri is a very rough and an impatient dentist. He doesn't care how much pain his patient is going through but keeps doing his routine dental work drilling. He needs to pause, give his patient a breather and be kind. He needs to ask how his patient is feeling instead of monotonously hurrying through his routine. I was in tears and yet he didn't stop injecting me and carrying on with his dentistry. Terrible experience. I came back home in acute pain and the injection he had given me was so bad that even after 5 hours my mouth was hurting badly. I had to take couple of ibuprofens to sleep. Apparently the receptionist is making financial decisions for their dentist in this office. I've been a patient since 2017. I called today to get a root canal. Not a cheap procedure (about $1500) and scheduled for later this week. The receptionist asked if I had insurance or their plan and I said no. I asked her about the plan and she said they would explain it to me when i came in. I asked if she could explain it over the phone with me and she said no. So here I began to asked what the difference was of explaining now or when I came in and she began talking, and talking and talking over me absolutely REFUSING to list to me or resect that I had questions and continued just to talk over me. If the insurance wasn't worth it I didn't want to waste my time. Apparently they could care less about my time. What was the big deal of telling what their plan was over the phone before I came in. I'm sick of being treated so poorly by doctors or dentist who hide their pricing before you come in. or at least a ballpark price. Then when you get a price there, you get ambushed. This is called a "Beta Trap" where they are the Alphas and you're put in subservient position of being a Beta and your time and your wallet gets hammered. The receptionist, instead of listening decided she wanted to argue with me and just continued to talk over me no stop about this and so I hung up. Who wants to take that abuse when you're the one paying for it.I called back and left a message to cancel my appointment. She texted me it was cancelled. I wonder if my dentist knows she just kick a long term patient of his to the curb and took about $1500 out of his pocket by her stupidity. this week and all further income from me forever. If a receptionist EVER in my business did that to one of my client she'd be out the door in a heartbeat. Millennials seem to have little respect of how hard it is to get customers and retain them to treat us like we are children on the phone. There are plenty of dentists who will gladly answer my questions and do the work and pocket the money but because of this receptionist I will NEVER go back. Awful customer service on the phone. I'll keep it short(ish) and urge others to read the other bad reviews along with the defensive responses from the dentist. I've actually been to this dentist for over 2 years, during which time I've had several doubts but was too busy to look for another dentist. I'm so glad I got a second opinion after my most recent visit as all the issues I was claimed to have were actually nonexistent. He told me I had "cavities" which I know I don't and accused me of "drinking too much soda or not being able to brush my teeth well" which even if I did the delivery was rude and unnecessary. I don't, and I know that I take great care of my teeth which is why I decided to have another dentist take a look at the alleged concerns. Also he's openly rude to his dental techs who are all relatively nice. If I've learned anything from this experience it's that if something your doctor/dentist says doesn't sound or feel right, it probably isn't. It's worth it to get a second opinion before blindly agreeing to costly procedures that can ultimately hurt you in the long run. There are honest and caring dentists out there, but that is NOT what you will find here. read more

Man this place is amazing. Their staff is so friendly and extremely helpful. The doctor here is great. Really down to earth, very professional and most important he really knows his stuff. I try to act like I'm a tuff guy but when it comes to visiting the dentist im a total mess. I usually try to find an excuse to ran out of a dentist office as soon as I walk in it. But not here. I had such an amazing experience here. I waited 7 years to go to the dentist and the only reason I went was because I started getting a lot of infections and pains: I am so happy I chose this place. Not only did I get my wisdom tooth pulled here I also did a teeth cleaning as well! Bina is my go to girl! She is very gentle and is constantly checking to make sure your feeling comfortable. I went to have check up and deep clean. At first, they do very well customer service. Then, I have another appointment to see the dentist and it requires to deposit $100 for the appointment. So I did. When I cancelled my appointment 2 weeks ahead and gently asked them for refund the money. They said they need to claim the insurance to get the money for my 2 treatment first. Then, I called them again and the manager told me she already refund the money. After 2 weeks not seeing my refund, I called again and receptionist told me that the manager will call me today regards my refund. Nobody called me for the whole week. Now, I called them again and they told me that she will reach out to me. I don't know why they try to keep my $100 dollar deposit and lost their clients???? I never had issues with my feet in my life. I'll admit I didn't go to the dentist for 2 years when I moved to LA/OC, then I came to Serene Dental. On the first visit they said I needed a root canal, cavity filled, and had another tooth that possibly needed filled. At my second visit everything was great. The following April they take more x-rays and suddenly my I have 2 more cavities (but I can't see them on the X-ray) and my gums are so "bad" I need to come in 3 times for a deep cleaning (that insurance won't cover in full and that 3rd visit that insurance won't cover at all). I left feeling completely dejected and angry. My brushing and flossing habits had drastically improved, my diet hadn't changed - so I couldn't figure out why my teeth were suddenly "so bad". I decided to change dentists. I went to the new dentist for my 6 month cleaning, they took x-rays at their own charge. And said that my gums couldn't be healthier and I have zero cavities. Buyer beware with Serene Dental. They are very friendly, great technology, etc. But I would not recommend to anyone. read more
