I love Harvard Place Dental - they are gentle and thorough and always helpful over our years as patients. My husband and two sons and my son's girl friend and my 90 year old mom and myself all use Dr Renee and her team. During the Covid years, I had an infected tooth - both my husband and myself had tested positive for Covid / Dr Renee diagnosed the issue over the phone and got a prescription for antibiotics called into my local pharmacy - pain lessened right away and was able to get a referral to another Dr for the root canal that was needed weeks later - Dr Renee and her team are hero's in our world. I have been seeing Dr. Renee for the past year and have nothing but great things to say about her and her staff. She has great technology in her office, so uncomfortable/excruciating dentist appointments in the old days are a thing of the past! She and her staff are thorough at explaining all of the procedures they are about to perform, then as we are going through it, Dr. Renee continues to explain everything she is doing and next steps. If she feels like there is discomfort or will be hours later, they offer Tylenol or Advil to go to make sure you are okay. She is also great about making sure the procedures planned work with your insurance and are within your eligibility window, which is above and beyond service and saves a lot of money. I was looking for a new dental practice since I moved and I found this place on Yelp. Since it wasn't too far and had good ratings, I decided to book my next cleaning here. I was fit into their schedule fairly quickly. I was really surprised and impressed that the dentist takes a more active role in treatment such as being a part of the cleaning process, showing me pictures of my teeth and x-rays, and so on. I haven't been to a place where a dentist spent more than 5 minutes with me, so I really appreciated that. The dental assistant was great, she was super kind and made sure to explain everything she was doing. I especially liked that they don't do the scraping method during the cleaning process BUT the sound of the tool is very loud and not suited for everyone I think. I almost wish I had headphones lol. I have been seeing Dr. Renee since 2018 as my primary dentist. She and her staff have been amazing ever since I moved to the area. The cleanings are very thorough and use the most up to date technology. She does an amazing job at explaining what she is working on and seeing in real time, in terms that are easy to understand. I've been going to Harvard Place for years and in those years, Dr Renee has consistantly provided genuine and unbias recommendations and skillful treatment. She even repaired some damaged and poor work that another dentist had completed on me prior. Her office has the best and most modern equipment of any that I've ever seen and she manages to fix even deep cavities with nearly no pain at all. you want to have a shit smile like the one I attached in the photo, then please be my guest. Renee...(I refuse to even give her the title "Dr") ground my original upper teeth down to the size of tic tacs to attach these BEAUTIFUL porcelain veneers. Well guess what...the product is shit and the work that was done is shit!! Here I sit just over a year later after having paid nearly $10k for A PERMANENT gorgeous smile, and as you can see...it looks like I met Connor Mcgregor in a back ally. In the photo, you can only see the two broken missing veneers along with the chipped/broken front tooth. The photo does not include the shattered back porcelain bridge that failed which you cannot see from the photo. The porcelain bridge broke and shattered within a month of the procedure. She did 11 of my upper teeth in total, and 6 are shattered, broken, or missing already. Renee refuses to answer my phone calls, refuses to reply to my emails and is avoiding any conversation with me to remedy the situation. To call herself a "Dr" is a joke. She is an absolutely despicable human being for leaving me like this. This is just the aftermath of the whole story. I can get much deeper from the start to finish of this garbage procedure and all the mistakes that were made all the way down to the emergency root canal the very next day after she installed these pieces of shit. STAY AWAY FOLKS!! Unless you like going to a so called "dentist" to get burned!! I'd rather have had George Washington widdle me up some wooden teeth than to ever have met this Renee lady!! She uses a pressure washer type of tool for cleanings that you can hardly feel, not the traditional scraping with a scalpel. 'In the back' there are two chairs, both with a large tv in front of them, and really only a 'pony wall' between them. (Not your normal dental rooms for the dentist to disappear to attend to another patient...or 5!) Dr Renee.. I'm pretty certain there is no sweeter human being on the planet. She is nice, and understanding, and not pushy or aggressive at all. She even asks if and when you are comfortable with her putting her white lab coat on! The office has state of the art equipment, including a large TV screen that he uses to show you a detailed X-ray of your teeth. From the x-rays, I easily spotted the growth of my wisdom teeth that I hadn't even known about before my visit! Dr. Ash even spent time discussing the root (pun intended) of my problems which were all a result of grinding my teeth unknowingly. I'm so glad I went here! I never thought that going to the dentist could be enjoyable. I needed to get a crown (my first) and it was nearly painless. In my 39 years of going to dentists, she is by far the most skilled. She takes great pride in what she does. She is very gentle and communicates every step of the procedure along the way. All the staff are excellent, equipment is up to date and the office is very clean (feels like a spa). I highly recommend her to anyone. Needless to say, she will now be my regular dentist. Hands down the best dentist I have ever had. Not only is the office nice and the front desk lady wonderful, but Dr. Ash is truly a rarity amongst dentists. He is incredibly knowledgeable and kind, paying extra attention to whatever concerns you may have as a patient. I have been going for almost two years now and dr.ash has been extremely helpful, and always careful to pick the dental plan that is most compatible with your insurance plan. He will be completely honest with you, and unlike dentists I have had in the past. He focuses on preventative care rather than being drill happy. For example, I have a couple minor cavities and he told me he didn't want to waste my money on those because chances are, as long as I floss, they will re-calcify and heal themselves! I was pleasant surprised by his suggestion and have been flossing every since. The office itself is immaculate, leaving one feeling safe and in good hands. The front desk always greets me by my first name, even after only one visit! The background noise on the television is a welcome distraction from the drilling sound. And when all is said and done, you receive a wonderful little goodie bag to know that you are a welcome client. Harvard place dental truly cares about their patients! I came for a teeth cleaning, and it was the best experience at a dentistry for me, so far. The place is clean, Dr. Ash is very nice and caring. I like the X-Ray machine they have. I didn't have to bite those uncomfortable pads as at many other places that i've been to. I just have to stand up, they help me set the right position for my head, one very comfortable bite, and boom! Done! I was very satisfied. The chair is comfortable. I like the "sunglasses". It is my first time here to clean my teeth because it is time to do it. I was hesitate first to do x-ray on my teeth because the process is painful and long but this place has all the high technology equipments such as x-ray, chairs and tools.. I did not have to do all the bitings when doing the x-ray in my mouth, all I have to do was standup straight and one bite and the x-ray machine did all the work. The process was fast and painless. Next, the chair I sat do do my teeth cleaning was so comfortable. I like the sunglasses Dr. Ash gave me during teeth cleaning to avoid bright light from the ceiling shined to my eyes. Very clever..
