Dr. Pearce made everything so easy for us, and this helped to lessen the burden of losing our dog. We contacted him on a Sunday morning, and we had an appointment by 11 AM that same day. Dr. Pearce did a phenomenal job with our sweet boy. He was so empathetic and kind, exactly how this process should feel. He let us go at our own pace and explained everything to us. We received a care package afterwards with his ashes, clay paw prints, framed print, and an individualized letter. Thank goodness for people like Dr. Pearce. When I realized I'd have to say goodbye to my best friend, I began searching for a doctor that could come to the house. I was surprised how many companies sounded just like that, a company. Then I ran across Serenity Pet and immediately felt a change in approach. Dr. Pearce is very kind, gentle and professional. He took the time to ask me about my dog's situation and agreed that we were making the right decision. He explained the process and let us know how my dog was going to react every step of the way, so nothing came as a shock. His demeanor calmed my dog and us. During one of the hardest times in our lives, the compassion and care given by Dr. Pearce completely surpassed our expectations. Our normal vet was trying everything to save our pet, which under most circumstances is exactly what you want, but we could see she was in pain and was no longer 'herself' physically or emotionally. Since visits to our vet are always a stressful situation, we decided that when the time came, we would choose to have our final time together at home without the distractions and anxiety associated with the vet visits. When we knew it was time, we contacted Dr. Pearce to arrange a visit for the Monday following a long weekend of shared memories and tears for our impending loss. To say we were a bit ragged on that Monday would be an understatement - this inevitable time is never easy. It was so very comforting to have him there guiding us thru this transition without ever rushing us. We jealously took our time with these precious last moments and only when we were ready did Dr. Pearce help us let go of this wonderful creature. I asked if I could carry her to his vehicle so even in death I could have some time with her and was so very grateful to have this little bit of closure. I've probably gone on too much about my personal experience but what I want to leave you with is - mostly what I remember is the time with my dog on that day. I remember Dr. Pearce coming to the house to help us with such a difficult day and giving us the space to focus on our grief and our beautiful dog. Friday September 20th we were forced to let our beloved Gus pass on to a better place. Dr. Ryan Pearce came to our home with the warmest of greetings meeting Gus, our long haired shepherd and Rosie our female shepherd. Ryan walked us through the process and allowed us every available moment to get Gus comfortable while we prepared him and ourselves to say goodbye. Although there were no shortage of tears and heartache Dr. Pearce was extremely patient and comforting. Gus was never in distress or anxious throughout and passed on silently and peacefully. Serenity not only helped us move on with kind words and comforting gestures, Dr. Pearce actually took time of his own to write us an amazing letter. This letter was calm, empathetic, and provided us with peace of mind and closure we needed after the entire experience. As pet owners we all know we will out live our furry family members, but Dr. Pearce gifts them with the most peaceful journey. When it was time to put my sweet Rottweiler Maia to rest, Dr Perce was there to help her cross peacefully. He explained the process before starting and allowed me to set the pace for each step. He almost made an emotionally devastating experience seem pleasant. We decided to get her ashes back. When Dr Pearce dropped Maia's ashes of with us, he had a 'care' package with him. Dr.Pearce is truly the best Vet in the world. My two dogs have been in his care for the past 7 years and I was so Pro-Dr.Pearce I wouldn't let any other vet in the office see my dogs. On Saturday I found out my 16 year old chihuahua had a stomach full of tumors, I called Dr.Pearce and he quickly told me he'd happily come and put my baby to rest. I cannot tell you how kind this man was the day I had to let Rex go. He was patient, talked slowly and softly, gave Rex some love and a goodbye and reassured me this was the best move. He even called me the following day to see how I was doing! I was really taken back by what a kind gesture that was. 5 days after our appointment, his amazing wife called me and told me she was planning to come drop off Rex's ashes. Our baby boy's health suddenly started to deteriorate and after so many tests the MRI our neurologist did showed he had a big pituitary mass in his brain.
