Found this place via yelp for our short visit @ Monterey Park. The cleanliness, services, comfort level, prices...etc everything are beyond my expectation. I tried the massage combo session on the first night: $55 for 30mins body massage and 60 mins foot massage, May was my technician, she was great, she is knowledgeable and know where to press on my foot or body to release my tensions. Next day morning I returned to this SPA place together with my hubby. I then did the whole 60 mins body massage (hot stone) with cupping service($40), my hubby did the combo of 30mins Body and 30mins foot massage $45 with cupping service ($40). As May was working with my hubby, I got Lulu for my hot stone massage. It was really really comfortable and good. Both May and Lulu did a great job. Been to this massage place quite a few times. Usually, it's a hit or miss experience. However, last week.. I called in for a 5:00 pm full body massage for 2 people about 4 hours prior and booked the appointment. When we got there, the front desk lady (who took the call for the appointment) told me there's a 30 minute wait and no available rooms (curtained areas). What happened was we got there at 4:59 pm and there's another elderly couple without appointment but the lady just give it to them. I actually opened the door for the elderly lady and let her go first thinking that the appointment is enough to get us in without any issues. It's not the other customers fault obviously. The staff should ask if it's for appointment, etc. The lady did not give any solutions neither to her messing up and no apologies. Just "You have to wait 30 minutes, okay?" Never coming back. Complete waste of time. Don't waste your time with the appointment because they don't honor the appointment at all. No system in place. read more

I often wonder if it's worth writing a review of a new foot massage/massage place I've been too since they seem to come and go so often. I hope this one stays around for a while. Big perks, it's clean and private. When you go in for body massage you have your own spacious room with actual wall dividers, not a sheet or curtain where you can hear all that's going on next door. We stopped in on a Saturday and dealt with the owner who was very kind and speaks perfect english, so no need to worry about that. In fact another woman who was there also spoke enough english to take care of customers who don't. We had the C Combo massage which is foot first for 30 minutes ,then 60 minutes of body massage on a massage table. I left there feeling not only relaxed, but also ready to go home and take a wonderful afternoon nap. There's also plenty of street parking so no need to worry about that. I had an awful experience here. The massage pressure was extremely hard and the masseur mostly used his elbows and arms rather than his hands most of the time. This is ok if one knows what they're doing, but I ended up developing a VERY sore shoulder that hasn't improved, even days later. But the worst part is, the masseur was sniffling and sneezing! I stopped him and asked if he was sick. He said no. I asked him to put on a mask anyway, but it was too late. I caught his cold. And finally... I paid for 90 minutes but no foot massage and hardly any legwork. I also agree with other reviews that the towels and linens are not great. Overall, not a good experience and waste of money. I wish massage establishments would send their employees home when they show signs of illness. I was coughed on multiple times during my session, even though the masseuse was apologetic. Went on for a massage with my boyfriend and when we went inside it was kinda weird, just a bunch of dudes and like two women, standing at the back entrance. Taking a look around at the store it felt like it was suspicious already that there was no doors just curtains as "private rooms". my boyfriend wanted to leave but I insisted we try it because 50 bucks is a good deal for 90 minutes, now I understand why it was 50 bucks. They didn't even ask if we wanted a male or female, they didn't even tell us if we should take our clothes off or leave it when we asked, so we assumed like any other place to take our our off. We changed but didn't lay down yet and you could see the dude just staring at us from the outside, once we started the massage I realized I got that weird dude ( realized bc I lifted my head up from the face hole) guy was standing above my head, I noticed he was barley even massaging me just lightly touching me m, n when he reached to massage my legs I felt his lower part touch my head, so instantly I told my boyfriend I wanted to switch. If I had told my bf what happened right at the shop he would've beat his ass then and there, but I didn't want an altercation. I got a female 2 minutes into my massage which made me feel better but everytime she went around to the other side the curtain kept opening, mind you we're both in out underwear right by the back entrance with just a thin purple curtain for privacy and just a small towel to cover our body. And the hot rocks were not hot at all. When me and my bf were done we talked about how they didn't do a good job at all, I turned my head to see the same dude who did my massage in the beginning starting at us again thru the curtain which we thought was super creepy bc whyyy stare?? So much for curtains!! I shouldn't have let my bf tip, I regret that bc the professionalism was nonexistent! The massage was so bad and it hurts so much to begin with, they just nonstop using elbow and push hard on your body which is not even comfortable. After the massage was done we paid $120 in cash and $20 tips. After we got out they chased us out and said we pay so little tips, that no one TIPS $20 ONLY. The male massage worker also called me fat and he said that I should pay more because I'm fat and heavy. It was on open street and it was so embrassing. Everyone was looking at us like we didn't pay. I'm happy to say that this will become my other go to inexpensive massage place in addition to the other one closer to home in San Gabriel. Both times I came here, I was completely satisfied. I hope they keep the same masseuses here for a long time. But I know that's not going to happen. So, for the time being, let's make the most of it. Every masseuse here I observed they were all wearing scrubs. Very uninformed and seems more professional. I had a guy the first time, and a lady the second. Very good. I advise to call in ahead of time for an appointment. They do get quite busy from what I saw. The massage was to the point. Not too hard and was perfect for me. I went for the 90 minutes session... combo B. It's $35.00 for 30 minutes of body, and 60 minutes of feet. Their other combo was $45.00. Which it was 60 minutes body in a private room, and 30 minutes feet. I personally hate private rooms and I much rather stay in the main area with recliners that adjusts 180° so you can also lay down flat. So whatever rocks your boat, I think you'll be satisfied afterwards. The foot massage was extremely relaxing. I've been dosing off while at it. I hope the masseuse kept going while I was sleeping! LOL. It feels like they know a bit more of how to do it compared to other places where you might end up with a rug burn. They also do an excellent job on.your back. They feel for knots, and mashes it. A bit painful in the beginning, but it's the good pain because you'll feel more loose afterwards. The main area is a good size with many recliners. It was a very deep massage WITH hot stones. It was my first hot stones massage and I was amazed. I like the heat and I feel like it really alleviated some of the tension I was having around my shoulders and neck. My lady also offered me a beverage after my massage so she was waiting outside with my beverage.. so sweet! They have various packages so if you want to come in for a massage, they have plenty of room and plenty of staff to serve you! I made a reservation for a Saturday afternoon for a one hour foot massage for $20 with female masseuses. Good thing I made a reservation, because when I walked in, the communal room was packed! I waited for about 10 minutes and female masseuse led me to my chair. There were no introductions. My massage starting with socking my feet in a bucket of hot water. Here, all patrons are fully clothed. I recommend coming in loose clothing and shorts or capris. The first 1/2 hour was a massage from my head to legs. The last half hour was concentrated on my feet. Quite honestly, I didn't know what to expect from a $20 massage. Parking: Large parking lot behind the strip mall or street parking along Garfield. I came here because I've had a foot and leg tightness that has been bothering for a while. More regular therapist at my regular place had an emergency so she had to cancel. Cue my search on yelp for a well rated place. The environment is nice and there is relaxing music playing in the background. I opted for a 90 minute foot massage since you can't really mess up a foot massage. How wrong I was. After the head and neck massage, the masseur started working on my feet. This is probably the WORST massage I had on my feet. I would say 90% of the time she worked on the top of my feet. The few instances she worked on the pads, she didn't apply any pressure or she was working the sides of my feet. The one time I asked for pressure, she did but then proceeded to also add pressure to when she massage the top of my feet and that hurt. The top of my feet isn't where the pressure is. Who does that? After my massage, I looked at some of the other folks getting foot massages and they were getting their pads worked. I think it's just I got unlucky with my masseur. I still tipped since I know it's not an easy business. It'll be the last I trust a new masseur to do a lengthy session. *COVID Safety* Everyone wore masks and spaced out fairly evenly. Really great massage place in 626 area! It's the only one I've been to and I don't feel like I need to shop around cause it's that good! Prices are super reasonable and you can get various masseuses (if you have a preference you can ask for male or female masseuse). The most popular thing to get here is 60 minute foot massage for $20. Along with the usual foot massage, they also do a mini head massage and body massage (over your clothes) and finish off the whole thing with some back work. Definitely best deal you can get here. Make sure you wear pants that are loose enough for you to roll the bottom above your knee. If you can't, they have some basketball shorts you can borrow. The layout in Serenity Spa is a main room with rows of chairs for foot massage, and then private single person rooms in the back for body massages. All body massages require you to undress (keep undies on) and the masseuses will use hot stone. My favorite masseuse is Lucy; she does an amazing thorough job with the body massages. Most of the employees here speak Chinese and a little English (with the exception of the boss lady who speaks fluent English). None of the non-Chinese speaking people I've brought here have had any issue communicating what they need to the masseuses. Overall facilities are clean and there is plenty of parking in the lot in the back of the store. You can also park in front of the store on the street.
