We visit Sergio's Saw Pit several times a year, and last night was no exception to Sergio's consistently high standard. I'm a tough critic, having worked in restaurants for a decade, so take this seriously: the service was impeccable and the food was perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room is lively -- yes, it's noisy -- but that energy comes from a full house of happy diners, which tells you everything you need to know.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with scallops: buttery, golden-crusted, and exquisitely tender. I had the veal saltimbocca -- one of my favorite dishes anywhere -- and Sergio's version is by far the best I've had. Dessert was a Basque cheesecake with a perfect balance of texture and sweetness. In five years, I have never had a bad meal or a lapse in service here. It isn't cheap, but it is absolutely worth every penny. Ignore the haters. read more

The thin, crispy salted bread was seriously addictive--so good! Paired well with our Aperol Spritz. We started by splitting the fried zucchini flower blossoms stuffed with ricotta, served over tomato sauce. You get two per order; they were good. For entrées, my friend ordered the Pollo Fino--strips of chicken breast topped with asparagus, shrimp, and mushrooms in a white wine citrus sauce. It came with four jumbo shrimp, and she said it was incredibly good. I had the Pappardelle alla Boschiola with prosciutto di Parma and green peas in a pink sauce. It was a generous portion and very tasty. I later noticed the menu included mushrooms, which didn't seem to be in my dish, but I did not catch it at the time. We finished by sharing the Napoleon dessert--my friend had raved about it. The flavor was good, and our server nicely split it for us, but the pastry layers were quite crunchy, making it challenging to eat. Appetizer ordered hot antipasto, served COOL, not warm! Main course ordered Cioppino - Half lobster, clams, shrimp, calamari, scungilli in a Marinara or Fra Diavolo sauce. It was served with NO scungilli! That was the only reason I ordered it. Poor service, people came to the table BUT CONSISTENTLY LEFT dirty servicewear on the table! Another visit to what is becoming my favorite Italian restaurant. There is consistency with food prep and delivery which is important. All of the dishes- veal Marsala, salmon and Branzino were all excellent. Service is on the ball but place dishes down- don't drop them. I ordered the special app of stuff shrimp- it was very good but an app should not be $29.95. Beautiful restaurant. It has an intimate yet lively feel that is great for a date night or a group celebration. The service was great. The staff was very attentive to bussing the table and filling water. We started with the pappardelle and they split into two dishes. Tasty sauce and fresh pasta. For dinner I got the bronzio panzanella. It wasn't really a panzanella salad. It has store bought croutons as the bread. I was expecting I more authentic salad with cubed bread. Overall, it was good, but wouldn't say I was wowed. I would go give it another try to see if there are some better dishes. Parking is a little tough. There is a small lot on the side you can self park, otherwise there is valet in the back. read more

I came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner in the private room in the back with a prix fixe menu and all I remembered was the baklava being good so I was glad to finally come back when I could have my choice of food. So, I of course started with a Shirley Temple, old faithful, and we got the charcuterie board and eggplant rollatini. The charcuterie board was a fun adventure for me, I discovered that I might like blue cheese... a new development. I also discovered that I definitely do not like olives. But I also discovered my favorite thing ever which is their take on eggplant rollatini. It was absolutely perfect in every way. No notes. The sauce that was on it was fucking amazing, gimme a jar of it. Next, I got the gnocchi alla sorrentina and it was so good. Pillowy gnocchi in a light, fresh sauce. What more can I say? And we had to get dessert. So we ordered the famous napoleon and chocolate lava cake. The chocolate lava cake was very good, the inside was perfectly molten and was balanced out with the ice cream and fruit but the real star of the desserts is the napoleon. I know they are known for it and with very good reason. Its beautifully light, creamy and crispy. And the waiter even split it into the 3rds for us, and we learned a new method of splitting pastries! The place is beautifully decorated, the service was very lovely even though the glasses were so thin that I accidentally broke one from doing absolutely nothing. So glad they didn't get mad at me The experience was was overall great. It was very expensive and the parking situation isn't great so be sure to bring a cash tip for the valet guys, but I honestly think it's worth it for the opportunity to eat some of the best food in Westchester. read more

Unfortunately they fell a bit short of that expectation - probably because of the huge engagement party going on so I don't think this was normal. The Marsala was bland and my fettuccine special also fell short - perfect shrimps but the crabmeat tasted canned and dish could be done without it - there was barely any sauce and flavor in this dish. The pasta was perfect though - obviously homemade. Service was lovely but also a little slow - again because of the party I'm sure. After enjoying a light dinner in the bar area, I requested to take the remaining meal and breadcrisps home. The bartender asked if she could wrap it up for me and I said sure. She brought me the filled food container and then proceeded to put the bread into a second container with her bare hands! I made a comment and was told "well you said we could do it for you". I replied yes I did say that, but I didn't think you would touch the food with your bare hands! How totally disgusting and unacceptable. I was 100% surprised when we visited on a holiday weekend evening. The space felt at first a little stuffy, and we were very confused by who our waiter was and how long it would take to order, but all of a sudden, everything clicked, and we ended up having an awesome meal here. There's no by-the-glass wine list, but we were both pleased with our reds (Montepulciano for the win!). We loved the little plate of food and bread we got pretty immediately after sitting down. I can't remember the last place we've gotten such a nice starter. We loved our food. The farro salad was amazingly fulfilling and delicious; I would eat this type of dish everyday if I could. My partner's short rib and risotto were melty and delicious. It was a great special; get it next time you see it! I did find that the waitstaff continued to be a little impersonal during this dinner journey, but they definitely seem to have a system for taking care of all the customers across the whole restaurant. I recently visited Sergio's Saw Pit in Port Chester with my father to celebrate Father's Day, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from the start. The initial greeting was not warm or welcoming. Our assigned waiter Toti, approached our table with a detached demeanor and handed out menus over my guests' heads as if he was handing out flyers; rushed and impersonal manner.The poor & rude behavior was privately brought to his attention; to no avail for improvement. Throughout the meal, there was very little follow-up to ensure we were enjoying our food or whether we needed anything additional. What stood out most was a comment he made when it was time to pay: indicating that his main concern was his tip, which felt inappropriate, rude and left a negative impression. The overall experience made me feel as though the level of service may have been influenced by assumptions or profiling. Additionally, dessert and coffee were brought by another staff member rather than our waiter. At no point were we asked whether anyone else wanted coffee or if we would like any other after-dinner options. Since this dinner was meant to celebrate Father's Day, I expected a much more attentive and welcoming experience. Unfortunately, because of the service we received, I can only give this restaurant one star. read more

Had the pleasure of popping into Sergio's last night in Port Chester. What a great dinner. We were able to get a table last minute which was surprising being it's been pretty packed here lately. Shabi Gashi, our waiter was very attentive and versed in the menu. His service was impeccable. For appetizers we tried the Tuna tartare, scallop special , zucchini flowers and a cold seafood platter. All very tasty and great. My picky 12 year old ate both zucchini flowers which says a lot. She loved them. For main dishes we enjoyed the swordfish and filet mignon with truffle fries. Swordfish was cooked perfect served over asparagus and was very fresh. Filet mignon was good and cooked at medium temperature just right. Met for a family Christmas dinner here. It was gorgeous! Atmosphere is beautiful all lit up with lots of festive decorations for Christmas. We had an early reservation during the week, so as to avoid the crowds. We started with The hot antipasto, the scallop salad special, And the cold seafood appetizer. The salad and the cold seafood were very well done. The hot antipasto was just OK. Drinks were delicious, and we ordered our entrées which are also very well done. The problem was that our waiter disappeared after the entrées were dropped off. We never saw him again! It became a problem because we couldn't order dessert we couldn't get our check and it was really unacceptable. Nobody ever came around and asked how everything was or if we needed anything. We had to ask other waiters to get dessert menus to order dessert and then to get the check. I think our waiter disappeared into a private party room and never emerged again. A group of 9 of us came here for a birthday party and enjoyed the price fixe menu. All the food was delicious, especially the branzino and the artichoke. Can't say enough good things about Sergio's!!! I hosted my Engagement Party here this past Saturday and it was the most perfect day and it was all thanks to the amazing staff at Sergio's! They whole time they were so accommodating and flexible. We had over 80 people and they helped the event run so smoothly. They were so attentive during set up, helping in anyway that they can. The staff was so experienced and professional, my guests raved about them. No one ever had an empty drink!! They have different party menus to pick from and they are all great options! It was multiple courses with multiple entre options and coming from an Italian family, that is important. I really preferred the menu and the options here vs other restaurants in the area. It was so much food and everyone loved what they had, and they keep telling me how delicious everything was. Presentation was also fabulous! The interior is also gorgeous with all of the floral décor and their stunning bar. Everyone told me how unique and beautiful it was. From the outside it is very unassuming but once you walk in, you are truly transported! We have also come here for just dinner and it is as equally fabulous. Same level of great food and service.
