Something are good here, like the parmesan Cuban toasts they give complimentary while you wait. Other items are not all that. I never go out of my way to go to any sergios location but my mother likes it here, so I bring here when I can. Their coffee is good, and I must say their croquettas are also tasty. Not a bad choice, just not my number one. Prices are affordable. Menu isn't too varied though. I almost feel like they are attempted to make it some type of Cuban fusion restaurant. I had a private gathering at Sergio's honoring my late husband. The staff was amazing from the planning phase and through out the event. But it's going down the same path as other places that start strong. Picadillo was half the size of a normal portion, and worse still, it was mediocre as was the congri. I double-checked to make sure we hadn't ordered some lunch-special size. We hadn't. The roast pork was OK. The yuca was excellent. There is no excuse for an established place like this to lose focus on what matters most: deliver quality food. They went from solid to below average for Cuban cafeteria food. read more

The first time all cocktails were very low in alcohol, mojitos terrible, service slow and food ok at best. Yesterday my brother wanted to go here so I had no choice but be back and eager to give higher ratings. This time the chicken was average and yuca insipid, the Moros was not good either. The thing I liked was the yuca frita, mariquitas, and my brother liked the puerco asado. I think La Carreta and Las Vegas Restaurants have better Latin Menu and cook better than this guys. read more

Dropped by for breakfast and haven't been to a Sergio's for some time and now I know why, first it took some time for someone to take our order fine no problem we ordered an omelette with chorizo,mushrooms,onions, and Swiss cheese with a side order of tomatoes with unions, it comes with Cuban toast, well the toast arrived it was cold the omelette arrived ten minutes later missing the chorizo and it wasn't an omelette it looked like a crepe they said it was made with five eggs must have been quail eggs had to scape the pan that it came in to get it out and as for the tomato salad with unions no unions, well won't be seeing Sergio's ever again avoid at all cost. read more

I think this is one of the best Sergio's I've been to! Had some of their famous empanadas, ropa vieja, meat (my favorite- so flavorful and juicy), chicken (super filling) and vaca frita. Had a guava pastry- very light and sweet. Had a meat pastry too- melted in my mouth. And some delicious Cuban coffee as well. I tried their torrejas, pretty good! The food was cold and took ages to get to the table. Was missing part of the order and when it came the portion was extremely small. The butter in the toasted bread tasted off, the scrambled eggs had no salt, the ham was extremely salty and the pancakes were bone hard. The coffee tasted burnt as well. Croquetas were served while being cold on the inside. The place is also extremely hot with one of the fans being broken. They are severely understaffed and it was evident in the service. They have these server robots that cause people to stumble including the staff as well. With a drive thru, sit down restaurant and a pick up place this restaurant needs a lot more staff and bigger portions. I ordered the "big breakfast" and the portion wasn't enough for a small child. A shame to see a restaurant that used to be a Miami staple fall to such low standards. read more

Besides the the fast that they said 15 minutes. I got there in 20 minutes. In the drive thru I had a car ahead of me. That placed their order. Instead of them having them pull into the space and give me my food. I had to wait until they cooked their food, while mine was ready and getting cold. Unacceptable not coming back to this one. Yesterday I decided to try the cafe BON BON for the first time and omg it was soooo good! I know that I will be passing by here more often to grab a cafe bon bon. The worst food and dinner service I have ever had. First of all the food took forever to be served and there were only 2 other tables taken in the restaurant. We ordered the chicken croquettes and they were extremely dry, obviously reheated. We also ordered the flat iron chicken steak and it was so tough you could barely cut it with a steak knife, the black beans were terrible and the white rice was burnt. No one came to see if we needed water or if everything was good. We had to get up and tell the waiter we wanted our check. A different waitress we had never seen before came and gave us our check. She never asked if we needed any to-go boxes or water or anything. No one seems to care there. read more

I am disappointed in the management of this location. I don't like to see managers mistreating their employees, especially in front of other customers. It makes the ambiance undesirable and hostage. I was in the drive though when I noticed a young lady trying to help and resolve my issue with the food, when this man who presumed to be the manager came to yell and treat the employee poorly. I have been here before as I am a frequent customer and I have also seen him acting out with other employees and this is why I decided to write this review. I really love how attentive everyone is here love the beeper system. The manager, blond lady, so very nice and helping all the staff going picking up dishes and bringing food out. Best cafe con leche!! So if I'm being honest I've always been a fan of Sergios (no I'm not Cuban) but I sure do enjoy having a good home cooked meal. I LOVE their sandwiches (the Miami Sandwich!!) And coffee. Empanadas. Ropa Vieja. And when I'm feeling bloated, their Flac menu helps me make the right choice!
