2019 Lexus NX 300 Hybrid

I bought my first pre-owned Lexus, and the experience was amazing! I visited the dealership twice looking for the perfect fit. Ethan helped me the first day and over the course of a few days following my visit, he answered all my questions and was very helpful. When I visited the second day Jason helped me out, and he did an incredible job. He was very helpful and knowledgable about the models I was interested in. I was really interested in the NX model but was looking for a hybrid. He happened to have just brought in a 2019 NX hybrid with all the bells and whistles, I knew it was the one! He gave me the first look at the 2019 NX and let me test drive a couple models. He went through all the features and highlights of the cars, and helped me to make the best decision. I decided to purchase the 2019 NX hybrid, and the whole experience was easy and surprisingly pretty quick. Once all the paperwork was done Jason took the time and walked me through EVERY SINGLE feature and button, extremely informative and helpful! In addition (yes there's more) I had a few questions after I drove off the lot and he was very responsive and helped me out and even replaced my key fob battery the next day. Overall, HIGHLY recommend Lexus, I'm so happy with my purchase and excited to be part of the Lexus club!

My first experience with Lexus isn't the greatest. I had my Lexus IS 350 and was forced to sell. I now drive a Lexus GS 350 and decided to give Lexus's a second chance, specifically with the Service Department. I needed to get the spring on my hood replaced along with replacing the back struts and tire replacements. My Service Advisor for this service is Frank Oros. He was knowledgeable, attentive and helpful during the entire process. He explained what was needed to be done. This entire process took about 3 weeks including getting the parts delivered and the time I took being away on a trip. Overall, I would recommend to have Frank Oros as your Service Advisor. He provided an excellent service to me and I believe he will do the same for any of his clients. Thank you for reading my review. Have a great Sunday!

The Lexus is modern; the sales experience hasn't kept pace with Servco's Hawaiʻi legacy. Servco Lexus Honolulu represents a storied local institution and an excellent product, but my family's experience in February 2026 suggests a sales operation that has not evolved with modern expectations; particularly around responsiveness, flexibility, and visible aloha. Key takeaways for future buyers: - Servco uses fixed option bundles, not fully custom Lexus factory orders - This approach may work well for buyers who want simplicity, but less so for informed buyers with specific preferences - Responsiveness and engagement vary by consultant and management involvement - Lexus product quality remains excellent; the sales experience is inconsistent A legacy dealership still needs active leadership and follow-through to fully reflect Hawaiʻi values. --- For context, I'm a late-40s military veteran, married with two kids, and very familiar with the Lexus lineup. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted to order: a 2026 Lexus IS350 F Sport, with specific packages and options researched ahead of time on both the Lexus USA and Servco Lexus websites. I also read customer reviews prior to visiting. One detail I appreciated immediately was seeing sales consultants listed alphabetically by first name online. It gave the impression of a deliberate, fair management culture rather than a hierarchy-driven one. That mattered to me as a local customer. I also intentionally visited after lunch, roughly three hours before closing, based on Google trends and reviewer feedback indicating that period was less busy. That assessment proved accurate. --- Arrival & First Impressions Parking was more challenging than expected. There were no clear signs indicating customer parking, and I had to circle the block. I also noticed staff/dealer vehicles occupying customer stalls; small details, but it shaped first impressions. When entering the showroom, I held the door open for a sales consultant exiting the building. There was no acknowledgment or thank-you. It was a small interaction, but aloha is often conveyed in small moments. The receptionist, however, was welcoming and kind. When I explained that I wanted to order a vehicle and meet the sales manager, she personally walked over and spoke with Rex Bui, the sales manager. I noticed he glanced in our direction and continued with other business. While waiting, we observed a sales floor largely staffed by kupuna, with many kupuna customers purchasing vehicles. The showroom layout is very open. About 10 feet from where we were seated, an older couple was openly discussing financing terms with their consultant, which felt surprisingly exposed. --- Waiting & Initial Follow-Up After 25 minutes, our daughter was understandably restless, and my wife and I were growing impatient as well. I let the receptionist know we needed to leave in five minutes. She informed the sales manager again. He glanced over once more and continued what he was doing. After approximately 30 minutes total, I asked for his business card and left. Later that day, I emailed Rex asking for a recommendation for a sales consultant who: - Was comfortable with factory orders - Was responsive - Understood cash purchases He recommended Ricky Thai. --- Sales Process Reality Ricky contacted me the following day and explained Servco Lexus Honolulu's ordering process; something future customers should understand clearly: Although Lexus USA allows customers to configure vehicles pre-production, Servco does not allow full customer-selected configurations. Instead, customers must choose from three bundled tiers of packages and options. Ricky provided the bundle documentation, which I appreciated. To be fair, this approach likely appeals to customers who feel overwhelmed by choices and simplifies the dealership's operations. However, the bundled exterior, interior, and wheel combinations did not match my preferences. I reached out asking Ricky whether Servco could make a limited exception; I was willing to order from one of their bundles except for the wheel selection. After a full week with no response, no call and no message, I decided to move on. --- Final Communication & Closure In my final email informing them that I would be ordering from another dealership, I cc'd the General Manager, Tony Chang. My intent was to provide leadership with context, close the loop on my experience, and offer Servco an opportunity to engage. Neither Tony nor Rex responded. --- Final Reflection Servco's founding father, Peter Fukunaga, once said: "You either grow or you die." From a customer's perspective, the sales department feels retired-in-place. Experienced, but not motivated to grow, adapt, or fully embody the idea of being a services company, despite Servco's proud Hawaiʻi heritage. My hope is that future customers experience a sales culture that reflects both modern expectations and true aloha.

Richard and the entire Servco Lexus team made the car buying process so easy and efficient! It's been 10 years since I've been in the market for another vehicle and I was honestly not looking forward to car shopping. As soon as I entered the showroom I was greeted and offered a beverage. Richard was attentive and easy to work with. Within 10 minutes, I was test driving a car. I had already done hours of research with the goal of checking inventory and test driving a car. From there, we texted once and e-mailed twice to fine tune some details and 3 days later I was able to pick up my 2025 Lexus ES! On delivery day, while I waited a few minutes for finance, Richard scheduled my 6 month and 1 year service. Completing the finance paper work with Alan was also very easy and efficient. While Alan worked on processing some things, he was able to schedule tint and clear coating service for the next week. When I did final inspection of the car, Richard helped me get my in car preferences set up as well as the Lexus app. He offered to put a bow on the car and actually took some nice pictures for me! He took the time to go through every single button, touch option, etc. At some point, a grasshopper landed on my hood and Richard jumped out, got a cloth and detailed it on the spot...and then again a few minutes later when I rolled down the window causing water streaks (as they had just detailed the car) ‍ From start to finish, it was the best experience I've ever had car shopping! Highly recommend working with Richard and Servco Lexus if you want a straight forward, easy, and efficient car shopping/buying, luxury experience. Everything was clean and aesthetic and everyone I crossed paths with was friendly and professional.

Being that a recall correction should be free of charge, how is their customer service when dealing specifically with recalls?

I had no problems with customer service. I had a recall for my Lexus RX-330 dashboard replacement that I was waiting for quite some time. However, when they did finally contact me, everything went smoothly.

When selling to them, Do they really ask for the title before they give you the check?

They need the title signed over to them and have role sure there are no lien holder having the legal title to your vehicle. You cannot transfer title over if you don't have clear title.

Do they give blue book value for your vehicle?

It would be the wholesale blue book, adjusted for mileage, condition, etc.

Would love suggestions for a down to earth and patient sales person please? thanks!

I must say this O'Reilly Auto Parts store in Nu'uanu is by far the largest auto parts store that I've every walked into. Out of curiosity, when I was walking around in the store, I decided to check out the electronics section, and came across a Type-C Auxiliary Adapter that was looking for to hook up my smart phone to my stereo in my car, as my old stereo didn't have Bluetooth. Although the price was pretty reasonable at O'Reilly (about $16 - $20 bucks for one cable), I didn't need it right away & decided to look online at Ebay & I ended up getting four cables for just $6 bucks. Can we say DEALAGES Yo??? Lol! Although I didn't end up buying anything, but killed some good time, I wouldn't hesitate to come back here should I need something specific for my hot rod in the near future.

I went in there and they have my car battery in stock, but they couldn't install it for me because it was dark and they only have 2 people working. Ok, I understand and I asked them what time they will open tomorrow morning so I can come back in the morning before I go to work to get the car battery. I told the guy that I'll be there in the morning to get the battery and he said it was ok. This morning I went there at around 7:30am to get my car battery and the person there said that they only have 2 people working and they can't help me install it. I looked around and it was a ghost town in there. there was one customer checking out. After he left, there was no one in the store. I don't know what their policy is about helping customers install anything when there's 2 sales associates that are available and they are not doing anything in the store. I mean one person can watch the store and the other one can assist me with the battery installation. It doesn't take that long to put the battery in my car. Nope, both were in the store with no customers and they were not doing anything. I wasted 2 trips to this O'Reilly location. If that sales person told me last night that they will only have 2 people working this morning and they would not be able to help me until later when they might have more than 2 people working, I wouldn't have wasted my time coming early this morning. This is day 3 of my quest to get a new car battery. I will try another auto parts store. I don't think I will come back to this O'Reilly location again, very disappointing.

I do have an appointment in a few days, but didn't want to risk it. . With that, I was already in Kalihi and did a yelp search only to find just down the street from where I am located on Hart Street, which is right behind Watanabe Floral is where you can find NAPA Auto among us this whole industrial warehouse setting. They do have lots of free parking, which is nice and easy walking in. It's a small shop Though no one had really greeted me. I'm OK as I know what I was looking for just grabbing a quart of oil as soon as I found it, I got quickly rung up With a friendly staff which easily got me on my way. Just a note if you join their Napa rewards it's completely free and earned you five dollars once you obtain 100 points. It will probably take me forever to get that but this isn't my first trip to a Napa store so it doesn't hurt does it well it keeps my right happy which makes me happy. I'm glad to have this convenient location Thank you!

She greeted us and asked us what we needed. We gave her the year and make of the car and she looked up what battery we needed. They charged a lot more than the other store, so we didn't get it from here. It was a nice experience. If I ever need anything else for the car I'll be sure to stop by.
