    My purchased good from Cutter
    Ryan Y.

Meant to post this a year ago, but considering I still use Cutter Mazda's car services, I'm gonna update my review. I came back to Cutter after my old salesman, Marc, told me that a pair of Mazda CX-50s arrived. I was looking into this particular model and asked Marc to let me know if any version came in. Arriving there, I signed the test drive waiver and was immediately given the keys for a test drive. I loved the CX-50, but was in a dilemma. I had the CX-30 on lease for another year and wasn't too sure if I wanted to trade in, incur a penalty, etc, etc. I was also thinking about whether to just buy the car considering that 2022 was such a bad year for buying and/or leasing because of skyrocketing demand and not enough supply. Marc and the GM, Matt, gave me the facts and met me in a place where I was comfortable with buying the CX-50! Because of the demand for cars like the CX-30, I was able to turn in my lease, and with some other negotiable items, was able to leave that evening with a new CX-50! Everyone I interacted with that day was professional and addressed my concerns, and was really satisfied with how everything turned out. I also use Cutters car service and their parts shop for accessories. The experience here is also pleasant and professional. I have no issues coming back in the future for my needs.

I give Cutter Mazda a 4.5/5 if I could figure out how to do half stars We used Cutter Mazda for my first time buying a car and they did a good job of making sure the process wasn't too painful. They gave us a great deal on a different car with better miles since the one we were looking at was getting sold that day. We had Brian and Johnny help us with the buying process. They were both great and super friendly! There was also 2 small hiccups with a check from the credit union (make sure the check is made out to Cutter Mazda instead of the cutter umbrella company if using a credit union) and that I was told my car had apple car play when it was sold when it did not. Both times as soon as the general manager of the store heard what was going on stepped in and made it right. Overall, we had a great experience with the Mazda family and I am happy with one of my first adult purchases!

    2020 Miata RF

Took my Miata RF to be service, First time here, Had a nail in my tire. Decided to do a oil change too. Gregg Bergantinos had excellent customer service, took about 3-hours. Went to play tennis and have lunch. Gregg called and text me my car was ready, around 11:00am. After a day or so, Customer Service called me to make sure everything went well with my car service. I got to say, better than some other dealers on the island. I won't mention who...I did own a Lexus awhile back. So, if you're looking to buy a car...Give Mazda a call. All there cars are made in Japan. Aloha, Derek

Oil line by thumb, way too high.

This is regarding their Service Department. This has nothing to do with the Sales Department. Brought my 2020 CX-9 in for an oil change and they filled it up way past the line. Having the oil too high can damage your engine. Either the person changing the oil didn't check the level before signing off or they did check it and did not give a damn and didn't want to do the job right so they just hoped no one would look. Brought it back in 3 days later and to me the oil level was still high but they said it was acceptable. If you get oil changes here please make sure that it's not overfilled that could cause issues down the road. I'll have someone else change my oil from now on, not these guys. *On a side note, the service manager was kind but the other guy that came to look with him was a damn prick.* **sorry is the picture is blurry, had to screen shot it off a video and can't post the video.**

An oil change shouldn't take 2 hours... this isn't "thorough". This is ridiculous. I just asked for my keys back and left

We wanted to add tint to the windows and our car needed a bit of detailing on pick up but nothing that wasn't handled with professionalism and responsiveness. We were given some advice on tint gradient which is helpful in sunny weather-you can get a different color on the back and sides-be sure to ask about options. Arvi helped to coordinate our appointment for tint application with the car detailing and it turned out nicely. Highly recommend visiting Kaimuki Subaru and asking for Arvi! I am one of those people that doesn't like to leave reviews, but this dealership deserves they…read morereview it gets. While this is a long review, if you're seriously considering buying a car from this dealership, please read to the end. I purchased a used car (5/25/2026) on the condition that the dealership would address the check engine light, the taillight that was out, and detail the vehicle (the car was sitting in the upstairs showroom, not prepped for sale and filthy). It wasn't ready until 5/29; however, while on its way to be delivered, the check engine light went on again -also, that day, sales guy, Skylar, informed me the lender wanted an additional $599 for down payment. I told Skylar I no longer wanted the vehicle because I realized I'd continue having issues and I wasn't going to pay more down. The owner, Rima, called, assured me I wouldn't have any major issues moving forward and that they'd write off the extra $599. I begrudgingly agreed to take the car against my better judgment, based on his assurances. Within a week, the taillight was out again... took half a week approximately to get Skylar to provide information about having it fixed. They sent me to their "sister" shop, who replaced the bulb. The following day, light was out again. That shop discovered the light assembly was damaged due to water intrusion and had to order a part (estimated three week ETA). On July 2nd, I took the vehicle in to an independent shop for a standard oil change since the dealership told me, after the fact (of the purchase) that they don't usually change oil on used vehicles prior to sale. Would've been great to know that in advance. During the oil change, the threads pulled out with the drain plug which, according to the shop manager, is caused by the last person to change the oil because of either cross threading or over torquing. Now I'm hit with a $752 bill to replace the entire oil pan (aftermarket part... had they used an original part, it would've cost over $1000). This is more than 10% of what I currently own on the vehicle. I made repeated attempts to reach Rima through both text and email on the 2nd. He finally reached out that night, just before 8pm. He asked that I take the car to the dealership to have their people "verify (my) concerns" and he was informed it couldn't be since it's undrivable. He asked what the symptoms were... I told him none because I was simply being proactive by engaging in basic maintenance. His response? "With no symptoms, this may be outside of our parameters to try to assist". I sent three more texts after, all went ignored. Rima, you are the owner. What do you mean it's outside your parameters to "try to assist"? After two unsuccessful attempts to have this situation rectified via email, and no direct response from Rima (as a reminder, he is the OWNER) (and only one text from his shop guy, Dennis, to tell me Rima wouldn't work with me), I filed complaints with both BBB and DCCA. This dealership and, more importantly, the owner, is shady as hell. Check out all the other reviews and come to your own conclusions. I'd strongly suggest looking for any other dealership if you're hoping to have a functional vehicle - keep in mind that I had the vehicle for a total of 1 month and 3 days before it became unusable. I made the mistake of not looking at the reviews prior to walking into this dealership. Don't be like me and save yourself unnecessary stress and headaches. For anyone else who has had issues with this dealership, feel free to reach out to me. It's time Rima be forced to face the consequences of fraudulent business practices.
