This is shocking and embarrassing for Servco. Hope this is an isolating incident. Servco Toyota Honolulu Mapunapuna Pukoloa Since purchasing my Toyota Tacoma back in 2018, I've been taking my vehicle there for services for the past 7+ years. On Sep 22, 2025, I took my vehicle there for my 31,000 miles service which consist of brake fluid flushing and tire rotation. Brake fluid flushing $218.00; Tire rotation $143.18 ... with tax and credit card fee, the total cost was $409.73. I recently had a dash camera installed in my vehicle and was randomly checking footage and realized that my vehicle hood was never opened during my truck service. Also, my truck was never raised ... I then texted the service advisor at Servco and said services was not performed on my vehicle because my dash cam shows that my truck hood was never opened in order to flush the brake fluid and the vehicle was never raised to rotate my tires??? I then talked to the service department manager over the phone and I explained what I discovered on my dash cam. He told me to bring back my vehicle and he would have the services re-done at no cost and will also give me a refund of $409.73. I also asked him, why wasn't the mentioned services performed on my truck? He explained that the tech may have done the services on another truck, because there's a lot of similar Trucks that come through the shop. I told him, that's not true because all vehicles are controlled per worksheet on the dash board and a number placard that hangs on the rear view mirror. And when the vehicle is driven into the garage shop, it's parked in individual stalls. Anyway ... they eventually re-done the services and I was reimbursed. Luckily for my dash cam, I was able to prove that services was not performed. Had I not have any footage (dash cam), I would have paid for no service. I've Lost Trust with Servco and I now wonder if I've been receiving proper services for the past 7+ years. I know Servco Toyota is a huge corporation and may have a good reputation, but after this experience .... I just wonder. BTW, I've yet to receive an apology. $74,000 car, 2 months later, still not delivered! Servco promised a 1-month wait to ship inter-island, but Young Brothers says Servco shipments are lowest priority, so I could wait forever. The car already lost $2,700 in value sitting on the parking lot, and now I'll have to pay for taxis for 7 volunteer appointments transporting rescued pets because Servco Honolulu can't give a shipping date. Never, ever buy from them if you want your car on time! EDIT: After this review, a Servco manager called me just to pat themselves on the back for "doing a great job" selling me the car--and to basically gaslight me by saying that if I lived on Oahu, I'd already be driving it. He admitted they don't disclose possible delays so they don't scare off customers. Now my car is sitting in the Young Brothers parking lot, stuck in line, with no timeline. Servco gave me a shipping date that was never honored, and they still CAN'T CONFIRM whether it will ship next week--or at all. Everyone thinks they did a great job, but the reality is: I still don't have a car. EDIT2: Per YB: "They (Servco) are given a booking that is meant only for dealerships. The vehicle moves on a space-available basis." In plain English: once you pay, you're no longer a priority. Nobody bothered to tell me my vehicle wasn't shipped this week. Now both sides act like they're doing me a favor by saying they **WILL TRY** again next week. This is a $74,000 purchase, not a $7 package -- and the treatment is basically, "We've got your money, screw you." I'm still expected to pay for the shipping, and no incentives were offered to make it right. read more

I waited awhile to write this review. I was willing to forgive Tasha for forgetting to puit my charger cord in my vehicle, even though she lied via text the next day and said that she " bought" one for my car and to come get it. She did not buy it. It was simply forgotten, along with my extra set of keys which she never mentioned having even though I asked about them. Those things were irritating but not worth the bad review. The fact that Tasha told me that the DMV is now taking 7 weeks to send the registration was also a lie. Why lie Tasha? The paperwork wasn't sent for a month and now I have to keep waiting. And so my kids now cannot get there driver's licenses for at least another month while we wait for paperwork, and let's not forget the safety inspection that I only have a copy of and need the original also. So overall to improve I would say honesty is the best policy as I would not be mad at all if I had just known the truth. read more

I found a very nice Scion I was very interested in and was ready to buy it. Rick or Rickie was the person who helped me out and let me tell you, the service I received from him was terrible. After I told him that I will look at other places and want to sleep over it for a night he got a terrible attitude with me and basically told me to leave. I asked him for an estimate on my monthly payment and he did not want to give me one unless I agree to buy the car. Then I asked him what the lowest price for the car would be and he told me that he will not give me the car for the lowest price. He was so upset that he just said "OK" and turned his back towards me. I was ready to buy the car but since Rick could not answer me some normal questions and due to the terrible service I received from him, I decided to not buy the car and keep on searching somewhere else. I needed to have the front passenger airbag replaced in my car per the recall letter that I received. I called two dealerships on Oahu and they both told me that the part for my car was out of stock. But, the second office recommended that I speak with Servco in Mapunapuna as they may have the part available. That was nice of them to help me out. When I arrived, I was greeted quickly and then I was told by the service rep that I could text him to get a status update on my car as I got a ride and left the lot. About 3 hours later I text my service rep and he told me that my car was finished and that they were just about to wash it. Bonus! In a short period of time I was able to find out the value of my trade in and what my monthly payments would look like. Evan communicated clearly with me on coordinating with my bank and insurance to make sure everything would be completed on my vehicle pick up date and time, and it was. When I arrived to pick up my 4Runner Evan was there as I exited my car to greet me. He escorted me to my new car and thoroughly explained all the features and answered all of my many questions before driving off. If I could give no stars I would. The one star would definitely go to the lovely greeter who first welcomed us in. But as for our "salesman", ZILCH! I'm normally dont go in hard for these kinds of things but the sales guy that we were assigned to was straight up just cocky and almost elitist. Me and my husband are in the market for a new full sized truck, so as were telling him what we want he gives almost zero to no answer, almost vague. Its like I could literally look up all these things myself on the internet (which I have). We were interested in a specific truck, as we were telling him we were basically getting cut off by him left and right, followed by him telling us theres no way unless we put a deposit down etc etc which is fine if its a special order I get that. But even as I asked to see other trucks, even something similar doesnt even have to be that specific one its like he didnt even want to go out and show us! Lazy. Didnt offer a card nothing. Super lame (not that Id wanna go back and do business with him) Dont waste your time coming here, Im sure you can find a more willing nicer salesman to work with, just not here! read more

Five stars for swift, efficient and proficient service despite us forgetting our wallet, not having our title for our trade-in and the pressure of us needing to be out the door because my husband was about to have eye surgery at 2pm, and believe me in the time of Covid moving swiftly is hardly an option, so definitely extra props for getting us in and out in a car that we love for a price that we enjoy. I just read a review of Servco Leeward and it just got me all worked up. I've been screwed by Servco Mapunapuna service personnel 3 times since 1996. I love Toyota and I'm going to buy another one eventually. But I'll be shipping it in from the Mainland and getting the servicing done by Ford if I have to. I refuse to give Servco another cent. First incident: After buying a new 1996 Toyota Camry LE V6, I went in for the first servicing. When I got the car back, my acceleration was stunted. It was as if they restricted the air intake with some extra filter. Perhaps hoping I'll come back and ask them to fix it. I didn't go back. Second incident: In 1999, a head gasket had to be replaced on my 1996 Camry. Black smoke was pouring from my hood and out of my exhaust. Brought it into Servco and they told me I had to buy the entire gasket kit. Okay. On the invoice it showed something like 18 pieces in the kit, which came with multiple gaskets. On the work log, only one gasket was used. So where's the rest of it? Apparently, that's how they restock THEIR Parts Department. Final incident: In 2010, I brought my 2005 4Runner in because I had a seized engine. I can't remember the jackass's name, but needless to say he tried to scam me so he could make a huge commission. I first brought the car into my regular mechanics (Fastlane Auto), but they had a hard time reading the computer. They thought my computer had crapped out. Oh great. So they told me I HAD to go to Servco. Took it into Servco and they did a troubleshoot. Computer was fine, but I had sludge build up all through my engine. And because some of the oil ports are as small as 0.002", I NEED to buy another engine. Now I'm a submarine mechanic at Pearl Harbor, so I know how small 0.002" is. And I know what sludge can do to ports that small, but I was looking at a $4,000 quote for a rebuilt engine out of Texas. That didn't include labor cost. So during the night, I called back my mechanics at Fastlane Auto, talked to some automotive mechanic friends and did some research on the internet. As a last ditch resort Fastlane Auto said to try flushing the engine with Seafoam and some other products. My friends agreed that it was good idea, so I went back to Servco to tow my SUV back to the other garage. As I'm paying the bill for the Servco diagnostic, the jackass service guy is still trying to talk me into buying the rebuilt motor. I finally tell him "Look. I'm going to have my engine flushed and see if the sludge problem will be corrected. As a last resort." He then has the frickin' nerve to tell me "Oh yeah. That's a good idea. We could have done that." I was so angry and in such shock I couldn't even speak. When was this donkey fart gonna say something? I just paid the bill and gave him the "bird." The next day Fastlane Auto calls me and tells me the flush worked. My 4Runner is fine. How much did it cost me? $360 and a tip. SCREW YOU SERVCO! read more

These guys absolutely SUCK! Had a minor problem with my Toyota back in October and called for an appointment. They couldn't take us for FOUR WEEKS. Take it in four weeks later and they didn't have the part needed to fix it and said they had to order it and sent us on our way saying they'd call us. NEVER heard from them despite numerous follow-up calls. Finally got a hold of them in January (3 months after we first had a problem). They never ordered the part and told us they'll get back to us in a few days. Two weeks go by after numerous attempts to get a hold of them. Turns out there is no part. We need to turn our car in to them for two weeks for them to take out the defective part and send it back to the factory to be worked on (since we have an older model). And of course, the soonest they can take our car in is in 4 weeks. We drop our car off tomorrow. I truly hope we get our car back in two weeks as they stated. Avoid doing business with these people if at all possible. My car's had a problem since October 2010. This is February 2011. Their service is untimely, they do not return your phone calls. You need to hound and stay on top of them. Imagine if my car had a serious problem. I'd have been screwed for nearly 5 months. Avoid. They suck. read more

I've been disappointed with Servco Toyota Mapunapuna throughout my many years of dealing with them, three family cars later. The service tends to feel half hazard, where you're waiting and waiting to be serviced then you're waiting and waiting to get your car and waiting again to pay for it, while the employees run around seeming kind of lost and unable to find the paperwork and unsure who's supposed to be doing what. One big annoyance is that they offer to wash your car after it's been serviced, but only once in 15 years did they actually wash it. it's a courtesy wash, but why offer it if you're never actually going to do it. The machine was either broken, or they forgot, and no matter how many times I called to remind them, they just never did it. They even put a big yellow placard on the windshield that says WASH and they still didn't wash it, and they have given me the option to text them, so I sent a text with a reminder and it still wasn't washed. It's frustrating to try that hard to accept a service that they offer, only to get there and have the car unwashed. Subpar service. read more

Oil Change and Tire Rotation on a 2020 4Runner with less than 5000 miles took over 2 hours with me waiting around for it to be completed... why have scheduled appointments when simple routine maintenance will take this long... very disappointed.. seems like they have an abundance of employees walking around doing who knows what with not enough mechanics.... I've been calling their service department ALL WEEK. I've been patient and waiting for a call back since no one seems to be able to answer my question which was simply what's the status on my recent inspection on my truck back in Nov. I'm told they'll contact the advisor that was listed in my email. Still nothing. So I call again for a manager. No call back until two days later, today. I get a call from the manager and explain that I'm being told they have nothing on record. So I asked what happened to the report that was generated and the photos that was taken of my truck that I was told would be submitted for review and that they would get back to me sometime in December, which also didn't happen but I understand times are crazy right now so I didn't press the issue then. Manager proceeds to tell me that his advisor doesn't remember my truck (obviously you guys work with many vehicles day in and out) then goes on and makes me out to be a liar as if I never brought my truck there and no one there inspected it. The LEAST they could've done is take accountability for messing up my inspection and not doing their job in actually submitting anything! This is exactly why I avoid Mapunapuna AT ALL COST. No customer service at all. Only reason I went there was because they had the earliest appt date. I never wrote a review the last time I had an issue there but back in 2020 I took my truck in for service and wanted additional things done like my brakes changed and spark plugs and I'm told NO because I took it to Waipahu and they wrote the notes. I don't understand, you're the SAME COMPANY just a different location. Lazy. I've even conferred with Waipahu and they tell me that Mapunapuna could've done it and didn't know where they got the information from. Just unreal, no aloha. A simple "My apologies, we're not sure what happened but we'd be more than happy to redo the inspection" brah that's too much to ask? I bought a Subaru from this location and I called them about my tires. I had a conversation with a rude person and wrote a complaint about it on the Subaru website. I got a call from Ken who apologized to me and had me come down and he looked at my tires for me. Ken was great and checked my tires for me. He even gave me a gauge to monitor the tread depth going forward. Ken made it up to me and then some. Overall, glad I got a Subaru from here and would probably get another one when I run this one into the ground. read more

I drive my car there for changing the oil at 7:30A.M. This guy name Kanan told me that I can pick it up before 7:30P.M. So as I be there at 7:00P.M. The staff on front desk couldn't find my key. The customer service and "servco" name are crap. our check engine light and the break system lights both went on and so we took it to servco because it supposed to be under warranty. Told us they couldn't take a look at our car for two weeks but that we should leave it with them anyway. Needless to say that we were down one car for over two weeks. These are peoples lives they are affecting but they don't seem to care.They said they'd call us with updates multiple times and never did. We tried calling and nobody returned our phone calls. The customer service people were sassy. After waiting two weeks they told us that it would 500 dollars because the sensor was not under warranty. After all of that they ended up covering the sensor and we picked it up and began to drive within ten minutes of leaving the lights both turned back so we had left our car there for two weeks for nothing. I would never buy a car from them again simply because they don't care enough to treat people the right way. They believe that people are just going to buy their cars no matter what so why should they treat you well after you've bought it?
