We have had SC for years, with our old (45 ?? year old system) and now our new one. They have always been prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, & efficient. However May, 2018 was far above my expectations. I believe Ryal and another tech came out. They asked if there was anything they could do for me. Half joking, I said they could clean the awning. Since they were working in attic, I went downstairs, going back up after awhile and the 2nd tech had taken a mop and was running it along every piece. I was Amazed!!! Update: I received a call the same day to try and address the issues I mentioned below. I scheduled a time and will provide an update afterward. The response time is commendable, that I must say. Update 2: Omar arrived promptly on a Sunday and was able to address the problem fairly quickly. A few days later he returned with the original technician to do a tune-up. While I wish that the experience had been more comfortable, I will say that the company did try to rectify the situation and did so promptly. I upgraded my review to reflect the dedication I saw from Omar and Gary. The technician arrived on time, and was courteous. That's about the only positive I can describe from my experience, because otherwise I feel I spent $99 for a sales pitch. My AC unit is old and I was prepared to replace it alongside the ducts and furnace; however, I was still interested to know if the old unit can be salvaged because I know it was very infrequently used. I decided to take advantage of Leland's ENDLESS mailers and request a diagnostic. I wanted to know the cost of a repair or the cost of replacement, but ultimately I was left disappointed. The technician did not provide any meaningful input and looked at the condenser for a few minutes and didn't really diagnose anything. He then proceeded to inform me about a service club package, and that I'd be looking at replacing the entire unit but could do so through monthly installments. The grand total that this technician quoted was between 10,000 and 15,000, but would have to get his manager out for a more accurate quote. Prior to leaving the last mention of a range went up to between 15,000 and 20,000. The manager arrived the same day, and was less courteous than the technician and did no inspection at all, and instead merely provided the quote of 21,000. He seemed annoyed at my asking for a specific quote, and then proceeded to inform me that their service was superior to other companies out there. I live in a 1000 sq. ft. home and know people who've paid far less for their larger homes without any quality concerns. From my brief experience with this company I can't in all good conscience recommend them to anyone: - I stated in my call that I wanted to understand the problem with the old unit. - While nice, the technician spent more time explaining the service options than diagnosing an issue. - There was no explanation as to why the price would be so high. - Leland's mailers are disguised so as not to look like advertisements, and they are very much endless. read more

Our experience with Service Champions started with a small air conditioning repair that we were very happy with, great technician. Their pushy upsell tactics scared my 90year old mom and the projects grew. Thinking that we were happy with initial work, we choose to upgrade her plumbing, pipes, house filtration system, etc., over $20K. However, projects started on April 11, 2022 but are still incomplete on June 30, 2022!! Sandra in customer service is the only person that deserves a paycheck. Multiple appointments, miscommunication, poor workmanship, requested help from a Service Manager who sent a plumber "who was on his first day of work" resulting in a second failed city inspection. They were adamant about wanting full payment on time, wish we had withheld funds pending completion. No one cares...no coordination between departments, missed appointments, no followup even after we sent a letter of unacceptable performance. My only recourse is a bad review so no one ever has to go through this kind of frustration. Do not fall for their advertisement, personnel are not trained sufficiently, no customer skills, pushy smooth talkers to earn commissions. Do not use Service Champions! read more

Rendall arrived right on time, was very polite, and a hard worker. He came to check up on our A/C, did a thorough inspection to make sure everything was working properly . That reassured me that Service Champions was the way to go, because it shows they really care that things are running the way they are supposed to. Great company. I had a clogged kitchen sink and they scheduled the appointment, they first technician tried everything but that did not work, he told me that the supervisor will come next day and try other options and we own nothing since he was not able to clear the clog. Next day Carlos Soloman came and with his expertise, he unclogged the sink in new minutes. He also gave some tips to prevent this happening in future. Since they were not able to clean the clog on first day, they did not charge anything. Impressive. Both technicians left the place very clean after their work. Wow, their scheduling system and department are completely incompetent and broken. Their online booking system doesn't actually book an appointment until someone calls you back. Umm OK, what's the point of having an automated system if someone has to call you back. At least have the website say that or something. So, booking an appointment on the defuct appointment system and leaving a message I can't get a call back??!?? I call Service Champions, wait almost 10 minutes on hold, get an appointment scheduled 2 days later than the appointment I scheduled on your website, only to get called the day before my confirmed\scheduled appointment that they have to reschedule and push it out another day. Unbelievable !!??!! We just had a Service Champions tech here 3 months prior to our AC completely crapping out. More like Service Losers UPDATE: The GM Gary called me back and scheduled a tech to come this morning. Gary was very nice and candid. I was very pleased with the HVAC services that Service Champions had provided for my uncle, not only once but TWICE. Paul Marceau, the technician that was assigned for this job did a wonderful job! At the beginning, I thought no one would have the patience enough to take their time explaining all the process to my uncle, because of all the questions he had for them and my uncle had some hard time understanding due to old age. However, Paul Marceau took his time explaining thoroughly to my uncle which I really appreciate it for that!! The second time he came, he bought his mentee (Azul if I spelled his name wrong, I am sorry). They both did a wonderful job because of the kindness and patience that they have shown to my uncle! Background of work performed: older condo built in 1960s and one of the few in my condo community that didn't have central air and needed new ducts and an electrical panel upgrade. You would think the equipment was made out of gold or something, In fact the AC unit on their quote is the lowest quality one on the market. Don't contact Service Champions if you are a tenant and not a property owner. We have been without heat for weeks and are still waiting for them to show up. We were initially told they could not even make the appointment until they confirmed approval from our landlord, which they did. We then made our appointment and made sure they had our contact information for the day of the appointment. Fast-forward two weeks to the day of our appointment. No one at Service Champions read the notes and instead contacted our landlord for approval AGAIN, but since our landlord lives several hours away he told them he wasn't available. Service Champions then cancelled our appointment and sent their technician to the next appointment. I spent 25 minutes on the phone with them on vacation from another country trying to sort it out for my roommate back home. We then were given a later time slot and are currently waiting and hoping they actually show up. This company is an unorganized mess and completely unreliable. I have been dealing with this company for years as they service my AC/heater. the actual work on the AC is good but I have to say last few years feels like I am dealing with used car salesmen. every time they come by they try and upsell you. they are pushy and ask too many personal questions. Leland S., Omar came out and did a fantastic job cleaning up the AC and replacing the motor capacitor, but my concerns with how the pricing is done for repairs is still a concern and was not addressed... I understand the lifetime coverage on parts replaced under warranty and is fantastic, but when the initial cost is 40 or 10 times the cost of the actual part it isn't cost effective. Regardless of training and new vehicles part of the cost... From very first email/message through Yelp, I experienced fantastic customer service. My bathroom pipes flooded and clogged while I was at work. They were still in that state with I made it home. However, when Service Champions arrived only remnants of my flood and clog were evident. I'm sure workers thought I was crazy but I had pictures to prove my dilemma. Over the next couple days, plumbing camera was used to show me what went wrong with my pipes (shady work completed by shady contractors in 2009 was more than likely the culprit) and work was repaired by friendly, timely service champions. I received a letter in my mail from Service Champions regarding their pre-summer AC tune-up offer. The details and check-points of the tune-up looked very promising to me. So I called their customer care center and scheduled the tune-up for my 2 AC units. Their technician Greg came on time as per the appointment. He is very professional, skillful, and polite. He adhered to Covid-19 guidelines, he was wearing masks and gloves. He unassembled and cleaned my AC units in my backyards. He found two wiring issues and fixed it right away properly. He checked the attic for fluids, water flow, etc for the AC unit. He ran the AC unit and tested each of the rooms for the AC vent for cold airflow and temperature. Now AC fans run quite smoother after the tuned-up. I am very pleased by Service Champions's upfront charges and their tech. Greg's professionalism. I have had an account with Service Champions for over a year. Two weeks ago, my A/C started having issues. The service technician came out and looked at the fan and condenser outside. He placed his hand held monitor and looked at the voltage of the power and capacitors. After spending 30 minutes, he jiggled some wires and the unit began working. However, the next day the unit failed again. The same service technician came out and again placed his hand held monitor and checked the voltage and capacitors again. He then told me (convinced me) that the compressor was gone and non repairable. That we needed a new unit. I called my insurance company. They sent out their A/C guy to inspect the unit for the claim. Within 10 minutes of the guy looking, he found that the capacitor was in fact burned out. This gentleman fix the unit within minutes. The unit has now been running for several hours. The issue as stated by the Service Champions technician was in fact not the issue. He was out on two separate calls and i am beyond convinced that he knew the capacitor was the issue. He was just trying to make a sale on a new unit as that is all he was talking about. We placed our trust in this company and they failed us. For two weeks my family was uncomfortable. Not to mention the fans we had to purchase to keep cool. When in reality, this could have been fixed in the first visit in the we honest. This company says that they are honest. NO THEY ARE NOT. They say the are knowledgeable in A/C units. NO THEY ARE NOT. If they were, they would have not lied and seen that the capacitor was damaged and repair it. They lie because they thought they could make a sale on a new unit. I have canceled my service agreement with Service Champions and hope you will consider the same. read more

The owner, Leland and multiple managers reached out to me personally to apologize, they sent an expert technician out to review the system and make any necessary repairs for free, offered a refund, and committed to have training sessions with the employees to nip the upsell scare tactic in the bud. No company is perfect but I really was impressed with how serious they took this and felt like they genuinely wanted to set things right. It's yet to be seen if this new and improved ethical, customer-first mentality from management will make its way down to the every day service technicians in the future, but I'm hopeful. We just had our heater serviced and the technician, Dean W. did a fabulous job servicing the heater. He discovered that there was an electronics filter all along in addition to the regular filter and went ahead and turned the electronic filter on since it provides a superior filtering. Overall I'm thoroughly impressed by James professionalism and knowledge. He educated me on the problem, the solution, recommendations for long term and the price. Ultimately I am more impressed by his above and beyond customer service like making sure things are really dry when water is flowing and splashing from 7ft above. Don't believe anything they say. Good deeds are NOT for free! Actually, they can't even do their job right and they are all a total SCAM artists! I had a leak coming off my w garage and had them check it after I had heard about their infomercial on the radio. They told me I needed to repipe my whole house and that would be $30k. (Later I found out it should not be more than $15k)!!! I didn't know much at the time so I went ahead and had them do it. They told it would be done in 1 day, which was. But the city inspection needed to approve everything for them to patch up my walls (they made almost 50 holes on my wall). This was in the middle of the winter with heavy rain. They had done such a bad job (even had extra holes in places they didn't need to) and no communication between them that they failed the inspection 3 TIMES and it took months to pass it, not days like they told me. I had to call so many times to get things done that I was literally DONE with them. I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. I would give a zero star if possible. read more
