I took my vehicle to this lambs location because it is closest to my home. I wanted to get my car completely looked over and be proactive to any issues. I also took it in for an oil change and state certification. Upon picking up my vehicle, they emailed me a report, which is nice. However, they merely went through a book that said "at this amount of mileage replace this", and "this amount of mileage also replace this". And then they recommended that I replace those items. What got my attention is why it said to replace the spark plugs and I had just replaced the spark plugs about 5000 miles ago because I was going on a long trip and I wanted to make sure that everything was OK. I actually had the whole car looked over to make sure everything was OK before I went on that 3000 mile drive, So I knew that the spark plugs were only 5000 miles old. I asked the girl out front if they actually looked at the spark plugs or if they just took it off of a list because my spark plugs are only 5000 miles old. She said they just take it from the list. And then I looked closer at my email where it said that my struts needed to be replaced and under the reasoning, it said "manufacturers recommendation". There were more things that were very expensive to be replaced because it was "manufacturers recommendation" not because anyone looked at my car. If I was not aware, I would've spent a great deal of money, replacing things that were not broken. Customer beware here. Just because they say replace it, it doesn't mean it needs to be replaced. I want a real mechanic that can look at something and see a problem or not and not look at a book and say it's at 75,000 miles replace this! I could've done that by myself . I'm giving two stars because the woman sitting in front of the business was kind and patient and informative. She earned one star for lambs with her smile. I am very disappointed in this Lambs. I will not be doing business with Lamb's Tire and Automotive moving forward. I took my vehicle in to have then check on the battery. The car would not turn over. I was told that after the diagnosis, they would let me know approximately what the cost would be. I didn't get a call, an email or a text telling me what was wrong with my car. I did get a bill for over $1100 for the work performed. I worked initally with Brandon who is the manager and then after him, I worked with a guy named Mike. Mike is the one who called me to let me know that the car was ready and I was like "no one called to let me know how much it was going to be" after the diagnostics. Mike didn't know anything about that but he told me it was $1100 for the repair. Here's where it gets good... I was told that the battery was bad. This is the 2nd battery that Lamb's has replaced almost 2 years ago. The battery was covered under the warranty so that was free. There were two cables that needed to be replaced in order for the new battery to work. Mike then told me he was able to speak with Brandon about the labor costs and that they were giving me a $200 coupon that I could apply to the price of the work getting done. I ended up paying over $700 to get my car back and all they did was swap out two cables and put in a new battery. 2 cables and labor cost me $700???? That is absolutely ridiculous. I will NEVER do business nor will I promote LT&A and their shifty business practices. If I could give them ZERO stars, they would have it! Good riddance and I hope they get shut down for a dishonest way of doing business. Also, there was no follow up from the manager Brandon about this. He should have at least reached out and given me a detailed explanation but that did not occur. read more

2 tires and a rotation has turned into 2 days of not being able to work, I had to walk home. Because the threads were stripped out of hub causing I guess a chain reaction of problem. They've had the new parts since yesterday here its 4 hours into day 2 and Im being told it looks like another 2-4 hrs to install a hub after the tires had been removed and reinstalled by this shop. Now its costed a new hub and new stud bolts. Recieved yesterday and here its 3 hrs into day 2 and still have not installed new parts. Not impressed with service at all. read more

Brandon who answers phones is completely rude kept interrupting me.. gave him details to look up my account and he wasn't paying attention to them kept asking for it over and over wanted to get into on my warranty and all he kept saying was I don't know how to help you? My last time here was very strange too it's weird cause my first two times here the people were nice and explained stuff to you but the last two times I went in they kept changing prices and info on warranty and now I'm having issues w my tires again from this place and they are still giving me a hard time... kinda pointless to get any kind of warranty w them because they keep giving a run around about warranty and won't answer any questions regarding it makes me feel like I got warranty for nothing now because each visit the people working get ruder and ruder. Went in this morning for a headlight replacement and was in and out within an hour. Called after trying a nearby auto center who told me I'd need to leave my vehicle all day or schedule an appointment next week so I left and called Lamb's and spoke to a super helpful gentleman who quoted me an hour and price in less than 3 mins. I was right outside by the end of our call walked in provided my info and they got right to it. In my opinion it was a bit costly..$128.97 was the quoted price but I was able to locate a coupon on their site and save about $10 and ended up paying $117, it was worth it for because I realize many people are maintenancing their vehicles this week, the short notice, the fact that it's a process to replace the headlight, the level of service, transparency and convenience I received. read more

Extremely frustrating. This will be a long review because I'm losing my sh*t over this. Last week I spent $900 at the dealer on maintenance items and they told me my battery was bad. Couldn't afford it at the time. Friday, my 2021 Chevy just stopped. Would not crank all the way. Tow truck came told me my battery was bad, but since we were a block from my home towed it there to figure out my next steps. Saturday I call Lambs and tell them two mechanics said I need a new battery. I believe it was Brandon who told me if I tow it up there right now, he couldn't fix it that day but Monday was a definite. Monday at 9:30 they call and tell me they need to run a $125 "diagnostic" test. Despite the fact that Chevy told me it was bad..and the tow truck driver told me it was bad..I VERY reluctantly agreed to pay $125 for them to ALSO tell me my battery was dead. This is my THIRD Malibu (16,18,21) and I'm extremely familiar with its issues. This is a dead battery..but go on and charge me $125 to tell me the exact same thing. No word until 4:59, and they call to tell me for some reason they've not tested my battery yet and I will hear from someone in the morning (today) about the results from that test. At 11am I called them after not hearing from them. There's no update. No test was run yesterday despite them calling for authorization. I tell the woman answering that if I were a 50 year old man walking in there telling them I need a new battery a) I wouldn't be charged a bullshit diagnosis and b) it would have been done when promised. I spent EXTRA MONEY towing the car on SATURDAY because they told me they'd get to it Monday, but evidently it's just been sitting there. Today they said "well we could just put the battery in and see if it fixes it". Duh. Ya think?? I said well what about the TEST RESULTS you're going to charge me for? What did that say? No answer. I'm not sure what's going on here. Is it extremely bad communication, or just right out dishonesty? I called 10 places. This place told me MONDAY DEFINITELY. That's why I chose them..and now here we are dealing with this. I'm very frustrated because the car is how I make money. Every single hour it's there I'm losing money..so it was imperative for me to have the car on Monday, AS PROMISED. Edit: spoke with Phillip the manager who assured me they'd put a battery in and then proceed from there..which happened as promised. What's upsetting is I'm not sure if I believe them, at all. They told me they'd run tests yesterday, didn't happen. They told me they started it just fine yesterday, that was 100% untrue. My car is connected to an app on my phone. Every time it starts I get a notice and a systems report, so I know they didn't start the car. How do I trust the diagnosis or work when this has been our introduction? Second Edit: they couldn't fix it. I am grateful they only charged me for the battery, but it's been 5 days wasted. Philip was the only bright spot, he went above and beyond when he saw how this was handled at the start. Third edit: back down to 1 star. Just got a call. Even though supposedly my car was being worked on all day yesterday, when the car was handed over to the tow driver it did not have its bumper attached nor were all the screws given back.."because the tech wasn't there to tell them". So which was it. Were they working on it all day or was there no tech there?? This place is a legit sh*t show. Now I've got to go get the bolts and take them to Chevy and PAY THEM TO PUT THE BUMPER BACK ON because these m0rons can't bother. Edit: despite what this person said, it wasn't all the crazy issues they were describing. They're saying the battery was a year old. Hello. The car was purchased the summer of 20. That's 2 years. It ALSO had 95,000 miles. So yes. The battery was bad. The Chevy dealership fixed the car in less than 24 hours, it was a super simple grounding issue. What's absolutely CRAZY is these fools at Lambs USED A BUSTED UP 2x4 TO PUT MY CAR BACK TOGETHER. What. The. Actual. My request was accepted and the message was "we'll get back to you to confirm". Well here it is a full day later, and no one has gotten back to me at all. I paid $1900 for them to fix a leak in my power steering fluid lines. It continued to leak after they "fixed" it, so I took it back. Suddenly now it's the power steering pump , and I need to pay another $1,000.. stay far away from this Update-The truck was in February 25th, hardly 2 months. It was 2 weeks later I noticed the leak and we were trying to get the truck in, but I work. Also, I was quoted $1500 over the phone for the lines to be replaced. And the other shop? Was the Lambs in Austin. This shop was closer to my job so I could get to work. The original diesel mechanic at the other lambs diagnosed it. So either the pump was damaged while the line was replaced, or your mechanic didn't find the additional problem. read more

Beware using Lambs Auto in Georgetown. I took my car in for an oil change. They said that I needed front and rear struts and my battery (which I bought 6 months ago) was running half strength. This sounded fishy. So, I took the car to the Toyota dealership in Round Rock for a $40 second opinion and they reported that the battery is perfect. I do need rear struts but, my Venza doesn't have struts or shocks. It has a different type of linkage suspension. So, I feel that I was misled by Lambs auto and I'm getting the work done at the dealership. read more

I used to always take my car here especially for alignment. This time I took my truck in and was quoted $140 then came in and they said it will be $180 now? OK big truck. I told them it pulled to the left. After a long wait they were done, i looked at the before and after and all was not in spec. They recommended I need a ball joint. Ok drove home and exactly the same NO CHANGE still pulled left. Called them they said bring it in. I did then mechanic came out and said thats the best they could do??? and I needed a new camber adjustment nut?? WHAT. I was very disappointed and wrote Lambs corporate in Austin and NO RESPONSE! I was actually going to buy a new set of tires from them. Apparently Lamb was recently sold to a new owner. That owner better get a handle on his business soon. I took my truck to Midas Round rock, they aligned my truck and said it was really off and totally fixed it right in a short time and for $69.00 as they had A special. So now I'm sold on Midas and strongly recommend them. I strongly suggest you DO NOT GO TO LAMBS... They wont fix it, charge too much and will not communicate or correct a problem. Its hard to find a reliable shop but its easy to find a shop that terrible. After 20 years in Georgetown I will NEVER go back to Lambs and waste my hard earned money period. read more

I want to like their place in Georgetown. But they are very "hit or miss." Mostly "miss," as of late. They often don't have enough people working. Which is frequently a cause for me to go elsewhere. Most recent example - I got an alert from the tire pressure indicator as I was leaving for work. I stopped at a gas station and filled up the tire to get me through the day. I saw a nail in the center of the tread. The next morning, I brought my truck to Lambs. It was fairly early. There was no line. The gentleman behind the counter asked if he could help. I told him, "yes, sir - I have a slow leak in my tire. I can see the nail." He walked out with me. I showed him the nail. He then asked if I was going to leave my vehicle. I told him, no. I asked if he could swap out the spare and they can have the tire as long as they need. He said it would take an hour to 90 minutes just to swap out the tire. I told him, "thanks, but I really need my truck today." I left. This isn't rocket science. I'll leave the tire with you as long as you need. Just swap the tire and let me get on my way. The last three times I've needed work done - they have no openings. A recent state inspection was truly an all-day event. Luckily I needed some PT and ran home. Most people don't know far enough in advance when they are going to pick up a nail so as to have an appointment already scheduled. Leave some bandwidth to accommodate walk-ins. They've been nice and upfront about being short-staffed. (There's even a sign in the front desk - something to the extent of, "The whole world is short handed - be nice to those who actually showed up."). The sign has been there for some time. So... maybe you should do something about it? Sadly, I'm not likely going back. read more

The first time I took my vehicle there they damaged the hood because it wouldn't shut rather than just not shut the hood and call the customer they repeatedly slammed my hood and damaged it causing over $200 worth of damage. The guy denied doing the damage and then when I bring out my camera footage cuz I had a camera installed in my vehicle showed him the footage and then the dude basically gulped . They ended up reimbursing me the entire money for the job they were trying to do under the hood . Next time I took my car in there it was for a flat tire charge me $40 I arrived in the morning gave them an entire night . Then the tire was never repaired I left and came back 2 hours later and it said that they rebalance the tires which the weights were never removed and spun balanced as it says in the contract . I've often hoped for a auto shop close by. When Lamb's opened up I was hopeful. But alas, let down. They worked on a car of mine, charged me close to 2k, and a week later the problem was worse. I ended up taking it somewhere else and got the actual issue corrected. No problems since for the past 2 years. Recently I thought, maybe, just maybe, they had changed admin. Took another car in, they gave me a hugely bloated estimate. I left writing these guys off for good. Someone came and fixed my issue for 175 bucks. Lamb told me close to 1k. I think at this point, if you have a problem, take it to someone like KwikKar on 183,the manager is awesome and is so personable. Those guys have always done right by me. But if you go to this location of Lambs at Lakeline and Crystal Falls, be prepared for an epically inflated price and shoddy work. read more

I took my 1963 Corvette in last week early in the day to swap old tires for my new ones. Phillip said he would call me when they finished. I drove by at 6:30PM and it was finished and sitting outside. I used my extra keys to take it back home. Phillip did come to my house that night and pick me up and took me back to the shop. I gave him my old, old 5.60/15 spare to replace. He said it was hard to find and I called him in 2 days and he said it was ready. Picked it up and he put a 205 size on it. I tried to get it in rear storage area but was way to big. I took it back Friday and spent 20 minutes looking for Phillip. Finally left new tire on rim and old tire on the floor in the office with a not to call me. Nobody helped me find him even after I asked several times! After 20 minutes I left he called me and talked down to me and accused me of throwing the tires around the office and was not professional to me in this conversation. It bordered on elder abuse! I told him to refund my money and I would pick up my old tire and rim. I will never step foot in that shop again and will tell everyone in know about my experiences! I am a member of 4 antique car clubs and they will know about this terrible experience! read more

I have been to Lambs 4 times in the last 6 months. The first time was for 2 tires. They were to leave the best two on the vehicle. They left one good one and one bad one. I had to go back to have them swap it back out. The service lady was sweet and helpful so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I went back for an oil change and asked them to check an oil leak I suspected was the oil plug. They changed the oil and said there was no leak. I went home and oil leaked in the driveway. I went back a couple of days later when time permitted. They said it was the oil drain plug after all. They charged $28 for the plug part by itself but installed it for free and topped off the oil and apologized. There continued to be an oil leak. I was out of town and went to Ford Dealer for another plug. $12. Went to a local oil place in the town I was in and the showed me the evident leak in the oil pan gasket not the plug. That isn't Lambs fault but changing the plug and over charging when that was clearly not the issue is. In between the time when the oil plug was replaced and when I went to Ford while out of town my truck had a slight shake in it and I thought it was the balance on the new tires like maybe I had thrown a weight. Common enough issue I just went in to get it handled. They said the shake was my front break rotors. They wanted too much to change them so I changed them myself that night. Turns out it wasn't the rotors at all it was the tie rod end on drivers side. I had noticed while in the lobby several times that they had customers that seemed unreasonably upset and demanding loudly to have issues handled. At the time I just figured that the customers were the ones out of line because they all seemed very angry. I am not one to go back in and comp;lain, I will just move on to a more trustworthy and competent shop but now I see why the circus in regularly happening in the lobby. Shame on Lambs. I had a flat tire. Not only were they very responsive to my needs, they checked the tire as soon as possible and when it was found the tire was irreparable, they refused any payment. When they found out I was driving over 170 miles on a donut tire, they checked all tires pressures and added air as needed. For an out of towner, this was above and beyond customer service!! Took my Expedition there 2 weeks ago. Miss diagnosed water pump. Said everything was fine. Had gushed about 10 oz of pink fluid on garage floor....so I figured it should be checked... Then last week I took my son's car for alignment and an oil change. Told I need a brake system flush and air filters changed so I paid for that too. A few days later noticed wiper fluid was out...so we checked oil. It was very dk brown/black which looked old to us. Alignment was no different. Had my inspection done there and over the years of inspection places I have learned to tape exactly where to put it up so I can neatly line up the registration above it. Unfortunately, even after taping exactly where to put the sticker and the manager Brant point it out to the inspector Steve, he still could not line it up straight. Once the damage was done, I honestly was more upset inside then I showed it on the outside. I asked Brant "why?" and if he would of at least apologized and owned up to it, I probably would instead be writing a positive review. Instead he gave me excuses about how hard it is to get a sticker on in that corner (Civic!!! ...there is plenty of room) and really quite frankly made me (the customer) feel like he doesn't care. In general,I was mostly satisfied with the complete brake job that was done about 2 weeks ago. It was a bit pricey ,( $1100 ), but the estimate was pretty close and it only took a few hours. Phillip was polite ,helpful and tried to explain everything . One annoying thing was that I gave him one of their own coupons for $25 bucks off each axle or $50 total. He took it and said no problem. When I paid the bill ,I asked about the coupon credit. He said instead of doing the coupon ,he just didn't charge for the $99.95 "shop supplies fee" . Now, I know many places tack on this questionable fee , but never have I seen one that high! So, was it legit? I'm not really sure ,but you might want to look out for this questionable item if you get your brakes done there. But,as I stated earlier, in general not a bad experience. read more

I needed some tires for my 63 Mercury. The staff was helpful courteous and very knowledgeable. They had to get the tires from another warehouse. But the tires were on the car by the end of the day!
