One star Service. Wait around and find out why! And Waiting is what you will do. They are very, very quick to come out and do an estimate for you. Once Patricia sent my estimate, with 39 photos of someone else's garage, I knew we had a problem. I emailed Service Master some questions and Waited, and Waited, and Waited. Two weeks later, I called Service Master and expressed my frustration. Melissa promised she would call me the next morning. I Waited, and Waited, and Waited. No call was placed by Service Master. I realized that if this was a measure of their quality of service it did not qualify as Master level. Service Master was an Oxymoron, and I would be a moron to Hire them. The estimate was for $4,000, for mold removal. Perhaps that was small potatoes to them and they decided to shine me on. Who knows? I made at least 4 calls to them and an email and not one was ever returned, except the one asking for the estimate. Engage them at your own risk. Communication with them is NIL and that is at least half the job!!! I am very glad I found all this out before I put any money down. read more

Unfortunately I have to give them a star to write a review. My dad's house had caught on fire in April, 2023. They ripped my dad off like you would not believe. He's finally moved back into his house in August, 2024. A year and a half! Since they've been back in the house it seems ServiceMaster has forgotten my dad's name and number. The bedroom doors are not installed. Cabinets in the garage are not installed. They did put in new windows and French doors though, without written out verbal consent. read more

Warning! If you use this company you are putting yourself at risk of getting burned. These people proved to be complete scum bags. Starting with, Carrie King, the person who worked with my insurance company to collect payments, and Tom Puorro, whom I believe is their head of construction. They were having an issue receiving payments that had to go through my mortgage company. I worked closely with Carrie King to ensure they were paid. When the ServiceMaster management team learned we were selling our home after construction, instead of working with me, they decided in a management meeting to put a lien on my home without telling me. I found out just before my escrow closed (as if closing isn't stressful enough). I was forced to pay them through escrow and chase my mortgage company for $40,000. They put the lien on my home 30 days before I found out. Had I known, I could have saved a lot of stress at the close of escrow. Carrie King, who was extremely communicative with me when she needed me, but then ghosted my calls and emails the moment they placed the lien on my property. From the owners, whom I believe to be Mark Bower, Michael Demeter, Kevin Wright, and Jeremiah Cox, to their Accounts Receivable Manager, Eric Tojeira. The whole company was in on it and couldn't care less what they were doing to a good customer. Decisions like this one tell you a lot about the character of the people who run this company. Don't ever use this company Unless you want to be SCAMMED!!! If you ever call for an estimate for an insurance claim We were referred thru Allstate but didn't end up putting an insurance claim in. This company will have the authacity to then bill you for the estimate they did. Oh, and please don't let them ever put fans on your property- especially since you didn't ask for them. They will add them to your "BOGUS" bill/estimate. Don't ever sign a "work" authorization even though that is for them to give you & the insurance company for the estimate only No actual work! There should be a "class action lawsuit" against this company and their deceitful work practices ~ we are sure we aren't the only ones!!!! read more

Service Masters more than met my expectations in mitigating the water restoration issues in my home. Carlos who was in charge from the very beginning was the kindest and hardest working person I have ever encountered. He came by daily to check on the status on moisture percentages on the walls and was very helpful in answering all of my concerns and questions. The packing crew was very hardworking as well, Fatima and Pedro did an excellent job in packing up our belongings so quickly and neatly. Again, Carlos and Christian did an excellent job with the demolition preparation, the demo, and left my place very clean. Immediately after, Brian Jones came over to do the reconstruction estimates. He was so pleasant and professional. The whole staff I came across with from day one with Service Masters gave such excellent and professional service that your organization should be so proud you have staff that represent your company very well. I cannot say enough good things about everyone, especially Carlos. Thank you for making an unfortunate house event a not such a bad of an experience because of your prompt and organized way you dealt with everything with the mitigation and water restoration. A recent fire in a neighboring townhome caused smoke penetration into my unit. As I worked with my insurance company and the one representing the complexes' HOA I investigated several independent and franchise remediation companies for their recommended service, education on the issues, and next steps. After careful consideration we obtained the services of ServiceMaster Restoration by EMT. The reason I went with them was the way in which Brian worked with me to find the best services they offered to help with the smoke issues, the way in which their offsite team were on-top of the communications, and because I felt in the end they had a clear and direct professional approach. I obtained their cleaning services, and Jorge and Olivia did an excellent job cleaning the designated areas. They were incredibly respectful of my home, of the community, had clear communication with me during service, and left my home 100% improved in the areas designated for cleaning. I also really appreciated Jorge's honest examination of what we could do based on my concerns and feedback, and quickly communicating with the main office to clarify scope. I had a slab leak in my condo that affected the whole downstairs . To get the contract they sent a very nice English speaking manager along with the Hispanic worker. We walked the entire area and talked about restoration. He said that they would paint everything including the ceilings so what the whole area would have a Fresh coat of paint. After the work was done they tried to Bill me $1,200 for painting the ceilings. I complained my insurance company and they somehow either paid them directly or waive the fee. That was the first problem we had after that every step of the way was a nightmare. I would not suggest using them ever. When I told William the overall manager and I need things to go smoothly because I have anxiety disorder and suffer from depression he said he wished you would have known that prior to taking the contract and they wouldn't have taken my case. read more

Feel completely overcharged. Was given a verbal quote and told it could be less depending on how long they ended up working. The people ended up working that day at house from 9 until 2:30 with a hour lunch, so they were only there working for 4 and half hours.. I even called office to let them know when they had left and to check that I wasn't going to be charged for a full 8 hour day when they weren't there for the whole day. No one could give me a answer and was just told someone would be contacting me with invoice. Invoice was emailed to me following day with an invoice showing work for 36 hrs! Wtf??? I was fine paying the large deposit, but was very unhappy and cannot understand where or how it's 36 hours! When I spoke to woman she told me they include hours from loading up truck and driving to location and driving back and unloading. When I informed her this was the first I was hearing about being charged for hours it takes for them to drive there and all she was very rude! Told me the initial person I setup with would call me, they never did. Very shady!! But I guess that if they were to only charge me for hours they worked they would owe me from what I paid upfront. I have no idea where workers location was. But for 36 hours they must have drove from across the state and be super slow with unloading! I would have definitely contacted someplace closer because I don't understand how 31 hours is being charged for for driving and loading and unloading. read more

Service Master seems to only employ EXCELLENT people. They are friendly, kind, respectful, knowledgeable, talented, and love their job and their customers. The amount of SERVICE they provide is incredible. Javier came over first thing in the morning and then came back in the evening of the same day! He showed up on the weekends and kept in touch via text message, even on a Sunday. Lena notified me via text for every attempt that she made to contact my insurance company. Jose is amazing, I can't believe the amount of work that he can do by himself, in such a short amount of time. He also calls or texts to see how our rebuild is coming along. Everyone from the field technicians to the office staff were completely professional and provided service in a timely and efficient manner. They lessened the burden of a disaster with friendly smiles and outstanding dedication to providing quality customer service. A field technician went above and beyond and was able to record a 45 second video of water literally streaming down our walls from the condo unit above ours while he as on site with his mobile phone. From the video, Ram Plumbing was able to immediately identify the problem. The washing machine above us had completely disconnected from its drain. Since the original incident happened while we were away, the video was the evidence we needed to swiftly resolve the issue. Thank you! read more

We had flood damage due to a burst angle-valve and used ServiceMaster as a program contractor through AllState. Quality of work was poor with majority work sub'd out; most subs only worked Friday or weekends to fit in work; and almost every aspect of the project had to be repeated about 3 times for poor quality. In the end, project took 8 months when originally quoted for 3 months and ServiceMaster refuses (blocked my phone #) to take any of my calls to get things closed out walking off the job without completing items promised. read more

WARNING: DO NOT arrange to have a representative visit your home to go over damage until your insurance claim has been approved. Our insurance company, State Farm, recommended this company to us and we had them come out to look at water damage due to a leaky hot water line. The rep was at our home for maybe 30 to 40 minutes, verified the wall around sink was very wet and suggested we start abatement. We stated we did not want to commit to any work as we didn't know if our claim would be approved. The rep stated there was no commitment and we did not sign any agreement for work. Then weeks later our insurance claim adjuster (back east) informed us our claim was denied as the leak must have been going on for too long a time. They had sent out a State Farm investigator earlier to do his research. THEN--we received an invoice from ServiceMaster Restoration by EMT for $220.00 for the service call since our insurance company denied the claim. Attached to the invoice was a little drawing of the affected room and travel time was added on. The pay rate was stated as $75.00 an hour. So we were charged for about THREE hours which included travel time experienced by the service rep. When I disputed the charges I was rudely told that my insurance company rep should have told me that I would be charged for travel time. WHAT?? Why didn't their own rep inform me?? Very sneaky and dishonest. Will NEVER EVER use this company's services. BE VERY WARY!!Don't know and at this point don't care about the quality of their abatement but can verify that they will squeeze money out of you for a pretty little drawing (that I could have done!). $220.00??? There are some wonderful employees but others are awful. Took forever to get an itemized list for the repairs. When we did there were charges for work they didn't do. Charged $175 to install my range but I paid another company to do it. Charged to paint entire ceiling and didn't do it. Charged for installing 2 kitchen faucets and I only have one. Charged for installing a microwave with hood. I don't have one. They charged to install dishwasher and garbage disposal but we can only plug one in at a time?! Be careful with their choice of subcontractors. I would not recommend them to anyone! read more
