We hired ServePro of Laguna Beach in 2021 after water damage to our home, as recommended by our insurance company. They were responsible for redoing our flooring -- a job that was supposed to last 20-25 years. Within just 3 to 6 months, the floors began warping, gapping, and even coming loose. I reached out multiple times and got absolutely nowhere. It wasn't until my wife got involved that someone finally came out to inspect. That representative claimed it was a product issue and said they'd need the manufacturer to take a look. Months of back-and-forth led to nothing but frustration. When the manufacturer finally got involved, they clearly stated the product itself was fine -- the problem was poor, sloppy installation. Still, ServePro refused to take accountability. Instead of offering to fix their mistake, they had the audacity to suggest we start over and pay for a brand new quote. Now, less than 4 years later, we are looking at completely replacing the floors that should have lasted decades. In April 2020, Servpro of Laguna Beach installed vinyl flooring in our home, with the project reimbursed by our insurance company for $11,140.43. However, within a short period of time, the flooring began to peel and developed bulges underneath. Since 2023, we have been in communication with Servpro to address these issues. In April 2025, they sent an inspector who assessed the floor but did not provide us with any details or findings from the inspection. Subsequently, Servpro attributed the problem to the material supplier. The material supplier conducted their own inspection and concluded that the issues were due to "sloppy installation." Despite this, Servpro of Laguna Beach has refused to take responsibility, citing that the warranty has expired. However, the flooring's condition after such a short period indicates substandard workmanship. We are so disappointed by the work provided, we have three young kids at home that they cannot even walk barefoot because they would get lacerations in their feet as a result if damaged flooring. read more

If I could give a negative 5 star rating, it would still be too high. Buyer beware! Do not hire this company to do anything. Servpro of Laguna Beach is only capable of providing SUBPAR work for a lot of money. Flood damage occurred at my home in January 2023. My insurance adjuster from CIG sent Servpro Laguna Beach to my home for remediation services and, on the extremely high recommendation of that adjuster, I hired Servpro to restore and repair all the damages caused because of the flooding. The owner of Servpro and my agent were very familiar and extremely friendly with one another during a meeting they had at my home. I now question their motives. During remediation, Servpro's team sent 14 different workers to my home to accomplish removal of the moisture in an approximate 110 sq. ft area. All 14 of whom had individual access to my home through a combination lock box provided by Servpro. Within a week of completion of the remediation work, my residence was burglarized through that access!! While providing the remediation work, Servpro technicians damaged the slate flooring in the 110 sq ft area and billed my insurance for that damage. So, then not only were they getting paid to remediate, repair and restore damages caused by the flooding, they were getting paid for damages caused by their own neglect and carelessness. From the beginning of the repair process, "subcontractors" missed appointments, were late, arrived unprepared to accomplish repairs scheduled, or were not qualified to do the professional work they were hired to do. One subcontractor, whom Tayler referred to as an artist in her field, attempted to recreate a special plaster technique which she had no idea of how to accomplish, painted the walls in a color that wasn't even close to a match on adjacent walls and ceilings and then proceeded to tell me that the materials used for the original plaster were no longer available. I had to find a professional painter myself to repaint the area. The subcontractor who attempted to repair the slate, would arrive to an appointment and inform me that he couldn't perform the work on that particular day and would have to come back when he could "focus". He used paint thinner on the slate and mortar, stripped the color from the mortar, compromised the stability of the mortar thus causing it to crumble and flake, and then proceeded to tell me that my floor was extremely dirty. He then applied a sealant that left dried puddles over the entire area and when I complained, he informed me that he had never used the sealant on any thing previously. Paint thinner was splashed on baseboards and sealant was allowed to drip down the slate on the stairs. The flooring subcontractor spent nine months destroying a mere 110 sq. ft. of slate! The woodworkers stripped and re-stained entryway doors several shades darker than what had existed and had to be completely redone. After three months, the sealant that was applied to the exterior of the doors started to crack and peel in the joints and Tayler sent them back to apply silicone patches to the joints thus destroying the aesthetic appearance. When confronted about the appearance, Tayler lied and said that I had agreed to the silicone application. Tayler's workers removed personal property and appliances from my residence and when I questioned him about the items, he said he would provide the items AFTER I submitted payment for the "completed job". When I approached Tayler about the unsatisfactory work on the doors and the slate flooring that needed to be corrected, he responded that he no longer wanted to complete the work but did expect full payment, and further, placed a mechanic's lien on my property. Servpro has filed a civil lawsuit against me requesting court costs, attorney fees, and payment for work that is substandard, unprofessional and incomplete. Tayler is a lying scam artist that convinced me that he and his subcontractors had the expertise to accomplish the necessary restoration of my custom home. However, in the restoration process his company and his subcontractors destroyed my residence. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN OR THIS COMPANY with anything you value. read more

What I thought would be a company who would come and assist me in cleaning up my disaster of a flood has only left me with a mess even larger to clean up on my own. I really wish the back end of my claim was handled as well as the first half. Long story short, whole home flood, abatement needed, full packout required. They moved our possessions into the garage and did not properly vent our refrigerator and dishwasher. Our lines both became run with mold spores and clogs, to the point that even though I used a whole bottle of bleach and scrubbed for over an hour, there was no way to save it. Now I only claimed the fridge to be a partner to them even though I told my project manager about both and they hauled both away. We immediately needed to purchase a replacement, because we had nowhere to put our perishables and in fact lost all of our freezer and fridge goods (which came in around $400). so I bought a new fridge ($1500) an new dishwasher ($675) and fully restocked the spoiled food ($400). First off we had the fridge sitting in our property for 3 days until they came to remove it, it took over a week for my project manager Jonathan to get back to me, and we had a million things going on, I spoke with him over the phone and I was under the full interpretation that we were offered the $1500 for the fridge. This was fine for me I asked him to shoot me over the info and I would verbally agree and sign for it. WRONG, I received info which aged my fridge 2 years older than what it actually was they depreciated my fridge 75% even though it worked perfectly fine prior to them ruining it. and when I went to pick up my check it was $500... $1000 short of what we had spoken on, and yes, what we spoke of and what I signed for were 2 different numbers and it was a complete bait and switch. I picked up the wrong amount check on Wednesday. I sent 3 emails, left 4 messages for someone to call me back and was told by the receptionist when I asked to talk to my project manager's boss "you won't be talking with him, even if he was here, and I am not going to transfer you to his voicemail system." so here we are 48 hours later, noone has called me back, emailed me back, or even made an attempt to speak with me despite me telling you this review would be coming if you did not. Your company has footed me with over $2000 worth of expenses and given me cents on the dollar for the things you ruined and sent me an offer completely different than our verbal discussion. I have reported this negligence to my insurance agency and I will continue to report this experience to as many as I possibly can until you choose to rectify this. read more

Jonathan and Jaden were incredible. Went above and beyond helping me when I had to have mold remediation performed before I could have my HVAC system repaired. Jonathan came out within a few hours to do an estimate in a few hours. He gave me a quote. I accepted and with in a few day Jaden came out and took care of the problem doing an incredible job cleaning everything up. After clean up I called the original HVAC to have them start and they told me my home warranty wouldn't cover it so it would cost $2771. It seemed high. I called Jonathan. I was not sure which parts needed to be replaced he sent diagrams and explained them. He sent me the names of 3 contractors to get additional bids and I ended up saving over $2k by getting a second bid. We received a positive referral from our neighbor, so went ahead with Servpro for our small kitchen water leak repair. We would never do so again. Weeks and weeks and weeks of delays finally produced the most amazingly unprofessional work. The floor tile grout color was mismatched and crumbling the same day. The worker initially was not going to use tile spacers because he had "run out" of them! To his credit, the manager quickly took care of that. The repaired cabinet interior was not stained. The cleaning charged for was not done. The manager offered to have the team fix the shoddy work or decrease the charges. I realized then that I did not trust the Servpro team to replace the countertops or install the plumbing. I took the slightly lower prices and will have to hire others to fix the repairs that were done. A big blessing-the manager did allow us to cancel the remainder of the work without penalty. A second water leak occurred three hours after the cabinet was forced into place under the counter. This required a second insurance claim and more delays. The two estimates were conflated and confused, requiring several hours of my time to clear up. Word to the wise...Beware! read more

Oscar & Rolando mudded and textured my walls. They did a fantastic job and were very friendly also. The walls look great and they cleaned up afterwards. I'm very happy with their service. Job well done. A couple days later: Gordo, Mikey, Mario & Nabor brought my new 327 lb cast iron tub up my narrow stairwell that turns half way up. It was extremely hard and they did a great job. They took their time making sure they didn't damage the edges of the tub as they took it up the stairnavigated around the tight corner. It was a beast and also extremely hard to put into place in the bathroom. They worked very well together and communicated the entire time to protect the tub and walls too. 4/7 Omar Nieves came quickly when we found another leak in our kitchen from the heavy rains. He worked quickly and efficiently to protect our house from wateand was a pleasure to have in our home. May 2020 - our repairs are finished and I'm very happy with them. Jessica, Mario, & Miguel Zamora were so great. Jessica was patient with me as we had to keep changing things because of covid, which limited my choices of cabinets and countertop. She brought me samples, kept me in the loop and was AWESOME to work with. Mario and Miguel were also great! They always showed up on time, were friendly, respectful and were happy to fix things to my satisfaction. I have never had such a terrible experience with any Vendor before. They don't even deserve the 1 star I am giving them. The HOA hired this company to replace the ceiling drywall in our Dana Point unit. Now the joints are separating and the texture is inflating. With the authorization of the HOA, in the past months I have tried to have them come back to repair the terrible work they did, but no luck. All the people I have spoken with (Justin, Emanuel, Cody, Amanda, and many others) "misteriously" dissapear, so my calls are never returned. Not only their work is substandard, but they are the most unprofessional people you will encounter. They say their territory is Laguna Beach/Dana Point, but they don't have an office in those cities. We were referred to Servpro by a plumber friend and we will never use them again. We had a leak under our playroom which resulted in a lot of water damage. The guys who came the first day did a good job and moved everything out of the playroom and took pictures so it could all be moved back in the same way and they ripped up the entire floor. After that, it all went downhill. There were different people everyday (if they did show up) to check on the fans and progress and everytime someone new showed up we had to seem to explain to them what was happening. We were told they would be putting the plywood (subfloor) back. The last day they told us they were done and took off. We went back to the room and it was still completely opened up, no subfloor as promised. They also took some of my husband's tools with them. My husband called the project manager when he noticed the tools were gone and still has not received a call back. They never even called to follow up after and we were forced to move all of our furniture back in on our own. They had the nerve to charge out insurance over $6400 basically for ripping out a floor and putting some fans in the room. This company is a complete ripoff. read more

Oh my gosh!! Chico and Renato just finished the mold remediation and fixing the water damage in my bathroom that had a leak inside the vanity. They were simply THE BEST! Or, as my Mom said, "A#1." I wish I would have had that leak 10 years ago since my bathroom is so sparkling now. They finished one day quicker than estimated (2 days v. 3 days) and the price was so much better than my second estimate. They "tidied up" the work that a plumber has done six months ago. Scam artist! The owner Taylor Carano has no (zero) morals whatsoever. Stay away! Broke and damaged many of my items and never returned or reimbursed me for them. Over $20,000. Took him to small claim and he and his employee lied to the judge and created false documents. Charged us for storage when he put most items in our own garage. Had large boxes with one book and the rest filled with tissue paper. Charged us for moving us back when I did most of the work. I hope someone investigates this company or a class action lawsuit is filled against this company. They take advantage of people during the most difficult times. I honestly don't know how he can look himself in the mirror or sleep at night. Joel, Navor, Dora, and Laura make the best team! They cleaned our house for three days from stem to stern after a burglary with such great care and professionalism. Every nook and cranny and knickknack, walls, ceiling, furniture, carpet, windows, etc cleaned beyond compare. They arrived and left each day at the time stated. Their service was ok but they took a lot of personal items and promised to inventory and return all after they cleaned everything. After a while I contacted them to get my stuff back. Just like other reviews, they had no record and I never received my items. I was given the run around and finally after so many angry phone calls a manager told me they would give me $60 (a joke of a reimbursement) and they won't do anything more. I eventually found a direct number for Tayler. He said he will investigate what happened. I never heard back from him again. Once they have the money Tayler and his staff obviously don't care about anyone. I'll be taking them to court to recoup my loss based upon their poor service and lack of concern toward their customers. I have called corporate to complain and was told to leave a message and would get a return call about this franchisee. It's been 4 days and counting. If corporate doesn't care then good luck with getting Tayler to care. My advice is to use caution in hiring this restoration company. read more

I was unbelievably impressed with the work of Servpro Laguna Beach, Dana point, Aliso Viejo and West Anaheim. I had a water leak a few days before Thanksgiving. James and JJ came out right away and assessed the damage. Within hours their team was in control of the situation.
