This is in response to Annette's reply from my original post. the tarp was NOT on my roof for a year. Service master placed it in April, they were starting demo/Remidigation in May, State Farm sent someone out to look at the roof May 6th they damaged the work your company did. They also said to call you guys and have you replace/fix it so I would not receive additional damage, before you guys were gonna start work. I was told you were too busy and could NOT come back out until the work was set to start around the 2nd week of May, by you guys. You should know the facts before stating things. I have screenshots of conversations between several of the staff there. There was plenty of confusion on your end. I did what your company asked and then someone from service master spoke to my adjuster and had the payment for the tarp stopped and reissued this happened not once but 3x. I had to have it out with State Farm as I'm their client not you. I paid you guys from my own acct and I'm still waiting to be paid by State Farm because you guys had the check reissued in both our names AFTER I paid. In any case the Initial work done by Peter and his crew was great everything following was horrible. I would Not recommend service master of burbank. read more

I recently had water damage in my apartment due to my neighbors washing machine breaking and damaging my whole ceiling. I realized that my kitchen floor was bubbling because of the water. Service master came out and inspected the damage within an hour that I called them. They did a great job drying my floors and placing their equipment so that my floors didn't continue to damage and became salvageable. Came home from vacation to a fully flooded house last Sunday afternoon - Called insurance and they sent Service Master out within a few hours. From the second they arrived we knew the right guy and his crew were here... Saul and his crew immediately went to work. They were here from 4 to midnight. Saul walked he through every step and answered all my questions. Hector retuned the next day to get the report and moisture readings all finished up. Heather at the office was awesome answering my questions and keeping me up to date on the next steps and with the crew and insurance. The pack out..... in my mind, how were we going to get the entire house packed out and into 2 pods?? Well Saul and his crew showed up and got it handled. I have never seen such hard work and care given into taking care of a total strangers things. These people worked for 2 straight days (in hot humid temperatures) and got it done! I am extremely pleased with Saul and his crew! Saul is a hard worker and you guys are fortunate to have him on staff! ... and now we wait in hopes that the demo and rebuild will go smoothly and we are looking forward to working with Saul and his crew again for the move back into the house. read more

Fabian and his team were awesome! I could not have asked for any one better. Our neighbors washing machine leaked into our kitchen. I was worried about them taking down older cupboards and mold issues and protecting my kitchen appliances etc. I didn't have to worry about any of that. They wrapped up my kitchen like a Christmas present. No dust was getting in and no damage was ever going to happen. it was such a clean job, and every respect and the team was just so nice, particularly Fabian. He is a peach! I couldn't recommend this company more highly. doesn't matter where you live, they will come to you. their deconstruction, was perfection! read more

Only way to start this review is stating that this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Not only do the employees stand around and watch while you as the owner unloading the trunk, but they lost and/or stolen items from when they were in storage. I would highly recommend staying away from this company unless you want to pay to get work done but they stand around and you will have to do the heavy lifting or getting your personal stuff lost or stolen. read more

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, they are thieves. They promise you one thing, they are super sweet when they want your business, they give you empty promises, however, once you start asking questions, they are rude, condescending, and just plain disrespectful. The two ladies in there office are atrocious. I wouldn't recommend them at all, just horrible. The kicker, when there crew came to pack the unit they were not wearing masks, I will say, the crew was kind, I have nothing negative to say about them. We put a call into a few different restoration companies and ended up choosing this one because of how warm and friendly they were. I first spoke with Annette and she took the time to listen to each concern we had & assured us they would take care of everything. When they arrived the field supervisor Peter put on shoe covers before walking through our home. He then did an extremely thorough inspection. Peter explained in detail how the work would be done and also how they would help us take care of our personal items. within a few hours, they brought a large storage unit for our personal belonging. The next morning they arrived on time and started the job by laying down a protected pathway so that our floors would not get dirty while they were walking in and out (We have a large home and so this was a lot of work). They have an in-house crew of professional movers who meet with you first to get any important details before they start the work. They were very careful with our belongings and did an excellent job (They also wore shoe covers). When everything was moved out of the way they started the work which took more than a week and there were a couple of different phases because of the way the insurance works. Peter kept in contact with us throughout the project and even made a couple of trips out of his way to answer questions or meet with the insurance inspector. They then had to wait for the contractor to do his part before they could move our belongings back in. Annette would call periodically to see if we were ready for them or if we had any questions. Finally, the contractor was done so I called Annette and she sent her team out to move our belongings back in. they laid down new paper put on their shoe covers and carefully moved everything back into our home. After they were done Annette called to make sure everything went well. We couldn't be more pleased with the level of service they provided. Serge and Annette Nerses are a brother and sister that run Service masters. They were a complete Life saver. I did not what to do without their expertise when I had an emergency flooding in my unit. When I called Serge hew came immediately and started the Process of Recovery.He did A to Z for Me. He removed the dirty water, ventilated and dried the rooms and bathrooms, and cleaned up the damaged area and, also wrapped and moved all the furniture to a separate place so the contractor can start the repairs.Serge even talked to my insurance adjuster to come and see the damages immediately. Annette Nerses was on top of all paperwork and communication.She sent me all the estimates and pictures I needed for my Insurance claim, and also sent me an 80 pages reports on the job performed for my file and the insurance company file as well. In conclusion, I was extremely satisfied with their promptness and quality of work. Annette followed up with me today to send their helpers next week to arrange all the furniture and bedding back since the repairs are almost completed. Thank you Annette and Serge for doing such a wonderful job at my place. You have truly earned your 5 star Service rating!! read more

Recently i had a very serious water leak in my house and it cause some damages and mold. My coworker recommended me to call Service Master By S & R, it was the best advise she could have given me. when i called it was about 11 pm, and a young lady, her name was Annette answered the phone. she was very very very nice and professional, so she told me the crew will be on the site in an hour, i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw their yellow color truck in front of my house in half an hour. Serge and his team walked in to my house, and they placed their equipment ( fans, dehus,..) very quick. Honestly My husband and i couldn't believe how fast, and quick they are. they wrapped all my furniture and clothes, and put them in the garage, and they left.They finished the job in 3 days and i had my house back all clean. These people are one of the best restorations that I've heard or seen. If i could i would give them 100 stars. my family was very happy with the professionalism of Serge and his crew. I had a kitchen fire which caused a lot of smoke damage. This was a horrible experience in itself but ServiceMaster company made it worse. They didn't stay the promised amount time, the job they did undid work I had done on my own because the liquid they sprayed on the ceilings dripped down the walls. They did not scrub--spray and wipe was their method. There was still a soot residue on the ceilings and walls. When I told the owner I would not pay he told me he would send me to collections. He refused to come over to see the terrible job his workers did but told me he would send a crew the next day to finish the job and I would have to pay the quoted price. I said I could not trust them to do a good job. I asked him why they didn't protect my hardwood floors because the solutions got all over the floor. Ray, replied that they weren't painting and I got a floor wash as a bonus. Their solution not only streaked the walls it damaged the wood floors. Then he tried to make a deal for me to pay half of the quoted price. I refused. I tried to file a complaint with corporate but they really were not interested in helping me--despite the pictures I sent him he sided with the franchise. When I contacted them initially Ray told me he would use a chem sponge or dry sponge but that didn't happen. Because they wet the sooty areas; the soot was changed into a substance that couldn't even be washed off on walls and ceilings painted with flat, water based paint. I eventually found a soot sponge and was able to remove all the soot that they didn't set with their solutions. On top of all that, the workers stole booties I had bought to protect my floors, scrapers, some other tools and helped themselves to fruit I had in the fruit bowl. This company cannot be trusted to do what they promise. Had they brought soot sponges as promised the soot could have been removed in the time they said that said they would work on my house. Corporate will not help either as they have no concern or control of their franchisees read more
