Do not hire this company. They did not complete work as discussed and uses deceptive business practices. The person who comes out for initial inspection tells you all of the appropriate things, but then after that things fall apart. They refused to send us a report or written estimate of work to be included because it was "at their minimum fee and all work would be done as discussed." That was our mistake for trusting their word. Three workers were at our house for one hour, typically with two just standing around chatting while one person did something, and we were charged $800 (their minimum). When we emailed to note things that were not done as discussed, they said they would not return to complete the job scope we agreed to. The person who came out to do the estimate then lied and mislead the office on what was discussed, and again, since they refused to put the scope of work in writing, we are just left with a half finished job. They are untrustworthy and will leave you with needing to hire someone else to complete the job they started. read more

This is by far the worse location I have ever dealt with. The office staff is extremely unprofessional and unable to follow through with requests they offered. The location did not complete the work paid for, the bill somehow was hundreds of dollars more, despite not completing the work and can not explain, or show the differences in writing. We paid to have 3 rooms completely cleaned from floor to ceiling and there were unable to complete the work and did not refund the difference. They charged me a trip charge after, a) not calling prior to arrival per requested and b) leaving 3-5 minutes before we were able to arrive to allow them in. They refused to return. Servpro arrived quickly, took care of our flooded basement in no time, and was extremely professional and efficient. I came home to a basement with a couple of inches of water thanks to a faulty drainage pipe on my washing machine. After releasing a not small amount of expletives and momentarily losing my mind, my calm and collected wife suggested Servpro, who had helped her workplace with similar damage. It was 9:30 on a very rainy Saturday night, so they were dealing with another job, but told us they would be there by 11:00; they arrived at 10:30ish. The team of three set to work right away. The woman in charge took many photos for us to send to our home owner's insurance while the other two workers set up the drainage hoses. IN less than two hours, they had drained all of the flood water, set up 8 floor drying fans and one super-industrial dehumidifier. They said we should leave it all running and they would return in a few days to pick up the fans and dehumidifier. Servpro's fast response time meant that there was no permanent damage to any of the walls or furniture. That made their price worth it for me. My only complaint pertains to a little miscommunication about sending photos to us and the insurance company, but once we send a follow-up email, it was taken care of ASAP. I feel sorry for the other two reviews on here, though I hope that their negative reviews reflect a Servpro under different (clearly bad) management that has since changed. I would definitely recommend Servpro for help with home damage, though, due to the nature of their business, I hope I never have to work with them again! read more

When when I initially called and spoke to someone they were extremely pleasant and professional and offer me exactly what I was looking for but once the job was complete and after I paid $4100 different behavior the denied I requested for chemical cleaning and feces cleaning the smell is still horrible not much different than I was told it was only for basic cleaning which is not what I asked for initially when I called and I asked for feces dog and cat feces cleanup what are damage cleanup and mold check . I was told that that will be completed but after after two job completion inspection I come to find out that it was only a basic cleanup if I would've known they would not do what I have asked then I would've never gone with this company beware do not do not hire this company they will completely miss lead you they will miss inform you and they will not honor what they say. I do not wanna fault the representative who come to clean up they were definitely professional and did what they were told to do at no point is their fault. The company policy how they miss informed me to just get sale that's what I have a problem with that is why I would never do a business with a this company ever again.The two representative of the company I have a problem with feel they miss lead me are Brandi and the person who answered the initial call. I called ServPro of Catonsville when I was helping an elderly friend move out of an apartment that looked (and smelled) like a fraternity had been living in it without benefit of maid service. It was filthy and the bathroom in particular was a disgusting mess. ServPro asks for payment up front, in this case around $600 for a two bedroom, one bath apartment. I guess they know that they might not get paid afterward for the shoddy work they do. When they were done, the walls were cobweb free, interior windows washed and the kitchen appliances and counters wiped down. The bathroom was still a mess. The toilet has big orange blotches on the inside and there are dark brown urine deposits around the toilet's base. The walls have splatters on them as well..I'll be civilized and not tell you what they are. The tub looks completely unchanged...stained and gritty. In fairness, that is probably not their fault EXCEPT that their estimator should have been able to take one look at it to see that the finish had worn off and the miasma had penetrated the material of the tub. I was angry and called the ServPro office. A repeat visit occurred wherein 2 guys armed with a toilet brush and something that smelled like PineSol concentrate scrubbed away at the toilet to no avail. Really? No abrasives and elbow grease? Where are the strong chemicals that ServPro touts. I brought my own version of a strong chemical to the scene...it was a product called Finazzle which I purchased at Home Depot to clean my grout. It has phosphoric acid in it, (a strong chemical indeed) and it went to work right away on the stains around the toilet and, incidentally, on the caulk line around the room that had been declared uncleanable. Now, I'm not going to clean this mess up on my own...not my condo, not my problem. I'm 65 and won't be cleaning other people's floors on my hands and knees. But that's why I called ServPro. They're making Mighty Maids look mighty good. read more

ATTENTION, ATTENTION, ATTENTION.... I commissioned this company on the premise of them professionally cleaning the office space of my employer - a technical office space full of computer equipment and furniture. Upon the initial walk through I expressed my concerns of how the computer equipment and alike had never been professionally cleaned since it was installed seven years ago (the dust and grime was just too much to expect an employee to clean it). We walked around pointing out specific things and the company representative took measurements to provide a quote. The representative inquired as to whether or not I wanted to include the floors as the office space is separated into three separate elevated sections partitioned by large glass windows (there are two steps leading to the each elevation). I asked for a quote for the entire project and a quote separated by just two of the spaces. The quote came back for $3,610.11 for everything. The scope of work was for the office area to include the floors, the windows, and the HVAC vents. On the day of the scheduled cleaning I completely shut down the operation (which is a 24/7 365 days operation) to afford Servpro the opportunity to clean without employees getting in the way and to keep the dust from affecting the employees breathing (as the office space is an internal area and does not get fresh air ventilation or sunlight). The Servpro crew showed up with plastic spray bottles of Windex, magazines, and furniture polish. As a professionally cleaning company one would suspect they would know furniture polish will not work on laminated office furniture. The supervisors who I left in place to observe the cleaning informed me of the "shotty" work being performed and their lack of professionalism. Only one side of the windows (of a particular)were going to be cleaned because the cleaner advised both sides of the windows were not in the contract. Additionally, they were not cleaning the computer equipment because that too was not listed in the contract (although, this is the main reason they were hired). Granted, I can assume some level of culpability for not thoroughly reviewing the contract, however any reasonable person would expect both sides of a window to be cleaned - not just one side. In addition to the items not covered by the contract the cleaners were not professional in the performance of their duties. One of the windows was not thoroughly cleaned and when my subordinate pointed that out - the Servpro cleaner huffed and stated we have another job to get to - but cleaned it anyway. When queried about the magazines, the Servpro cleaner stated, "my grandmother says this is the best way to get windows clean". Lastly, upon my arrival back to the office I conducted an inspection and observed the floor with dirt and dust balls still present - not to mention other items still dirty (baseboards, handrails, and shelving). I contacted Servpro with my concerns and was advised that those items were not listed in the contract and they would gladly come back out at an additional cost. I declined the offer for them to come back as the initial job was not professionally cleaned. Windex in spray bottles, magazines, and furniture polish is not my idea of professional products for a professional cleaning utilized in a professional/commercial cleaning business. ON WHAT PLANET DOES A PERSON CLEAN THE FLOOR AND NOT THE BASEBOARDS OR EVEN THE TWO STEPS THAT LEAD TO THE NEXT PLATFORM? Servpro is known for restoring a space as if the disaster never occurred - well not in this case! I would recommend you hiring a day laborer from a popular home improvement store as opposed to Servpro - at least you know what you're getting up front. Even if the items I complained about were not listed, the floor absolutely was and it was just as filthy. I paid the invoice, but I will continue to write bad reviews anywhere and everywhere I can to ensure potential clients are well informed. This company did a terrible job after flooding damages from busted pipes to a condo building. Furniture was damaged, walls were scratched, parts of the walls were not painted that were supposed to be, colored paint was on white trim, and some the paint did not match AT ALL! Worst of all, personal property went missing! This happened to more than one unit in the buildings where many units were damaged. Last but not least, customer service was very disappointing.
