Contracted this ServePro franchise to remediate water damage and they damaged our recently refinished travertine floors by packing boxes, demo-ing our kitchen cabinets, and drywall plaster without covering the floors as their work order stated they would. When it was brought to their attention, without concern, or requesting to see the photos we have, the owner deflected, immediately blaming us and the other trades who didn't create any debris, and he claimed we waited too long to report it (2 months), even though it was still a closed off construction zone that we didn't access, awaiting materials. Where do I even begin... Our bathroom sustained water damage as a result of a leak in our neighbor's unit, upstairs. It didn't seem like it would need much repair...Boy were we wrong. Just be aware that they charge you $250 just to come out to your house. I wasn't told this when I made that appointment but I called just five minutes before their arrival and found out about the charge. The person that came out to our house used a meter to find the damp spots and took pictures. A few days later, we received the estimate along with a sketch of where the water moisture was. They did not provide any insight as to where the water was coming from. Perhaps I misunderstood their service, but I'm not going to pay to have it restored if I don't even know where the water is coming from. Honestly, I could've bought a damp meter at Harbor Freight and saved myself at least $200. Lesson learned. read more

This place is ridiculous! Please don't waste your time. Went back and forth with them for the same details over and over to schedule mold testing which they said they did, then the technician comes out, spends less than 20 minutes around the bathroom. He tells me that he can't determine whether it's mild and isn't able to test it and that I would need to have a separate agency come out, he then promptly asked for payment. I spoke to the office who claims that they never said they test for mold, which is a lie. A complete waste of so much time. These people are simply taking advantage of vulnerable people in difficult home situations. Don't waste your time with these crooks. Everyone was super rude the whole time as well. read more

The team at Servpro were on top of everything from start to finish! We had a 25 year old hot water heater that started leaking! Servpro came out immediately and started there process of making sure moisture didn't travel inside the house. I'm not going to lie it's a process with those fans lol but Diego explained everything and was patient with me when I asked questions. They had to move a stationary shelf. My Mom is 85 years old and I wasn't comfortable moving the shelf back after work was completed. Diego said to call Servpro and they would have someone come to move the shelving unit back in place and in tact. They were true to their word and Brian and another employee came and put everything back in its place and offered to help with any other lifting which we really appreciated. In 2014, my house in Carlsbad (northern San Diego) sustained smoke damage from the Poinsettia wildfire, one of several wildfires that broke out in a matter of days in May. I was one of the first to spot the huge plumes of smoke and called 911, I closed up my house tight, closing all windows and doors, and evacuated hours before mandatory evacuation was required. Despite all of these efforts, my home had an intense smoke smell and soot-heavy walls and more upon my return. In fact I had to stay at a hotel for several nights. Because so many San Diego homes needed smoke damage remediation, the local Servpro companies were booked. My insurance company, who had originally contacted a local Servpro, coordinated with them and Joe McCann and the Glendale Servpro crew were assigned to my house. What a blessing that was for me! Joe is truly a kind, compassionate, communicative and trustworthy person. It was traumatic not knowing if I would have a home to return to, given that my neighborhood was on the TV news because the fire and smoke were so close. On top of that, a tall tree was on fire in the backyard behind my house as I grabbed my few items and ran out of the house. Joe's kindness, as well as his crew's professional and courteous attitude, was calming to me. While smelling smoke isn't healthy for anyone, I have been going through medical treatment for over 10 years for advanced-stage, chronic neurological diseases. I am very sensitive to chemicals and fragrances, and my immune system is already overtaxed. I discussed all of this with Joe as well as with my initial contact at a San Diego Servpro. Joe took my health situation very seriously. He met with his team before working each day, he discussed with me which cleaners they were planning to use so I could give my OK that they were natural enough for my needs. One time, I was sitting in my home office and coughed because of the residual smoke. Joe came running in, very concerned that I was reacting to the cleaning liquid they were using to wipe down the soot on the walls. I was not reacting to the cleaner but I was so grateful for his concern. Joe even cheerfully allowed me to keep the large, professional HEPA cleaners/fans running an extra day in my house because I still felt there was a mild smoke smell. He was flexible to do what was needed to meet my needs and comfort level about what I saw or smelled within the house, rather than force a standard protocol on the remediation of my home. In fact, his team came back a couple of times to do a little extra spot treatment at my request. And throughout all this, he had to document everything for the insurance company, requiring him to photograph every step and even draw diagrams of my home, all while coordinating the team and supervising every phase of work. He was always reachable by phone if I ever had a question and he wasn't on-site at that moment. I have several friends who have used various Servpro businesses in various parts of San Diego or Los Angeles due to mold, floods, etc. I have heard good and not-so-good. I truly believe that the thorough, professional, compassionate and respectful attitude of the Glendora/San Dimas team is due to the high standards and quality of character that Joe sets for his company. It was not easy, emotionally, to have teams of people I didn't know go through every inch of my house, especially after such a traumatic experience. Had it been any other team, I might not have felt so comfortable. But Joe and his team put me completely at ease and they treated me and my home with total professionalism. I was advised that the pan on the AC unit rusted and caused condensation/water to build up in the closet and eventually leak through the wall and onto to the flooring. Due to a leaking copper water pipe I needed help in mitigating the lake of water in the crawlspace under my home. My plumber recommended Joe and his team at Servpro of Glendora so I gave Joe a call. Joe's team arrived first thing the following morning and explained to me what had to be done to remove the water and saturated earth. As my plumber was due to perform the repair the very next morning it was imperative that the clean up begin immediately. Over the course of the next 8 hours Joe's team delivered in getting the area cleaned up removing many bags of wet earth in the process.
