Last night I saw a giant rat run across my garage so now I've paid $3500 to hazmat clean the 1/2 my garage but still have a rat infestation. I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. I'm not angry I am however very disappointed and feel that I've been tricked. I cannot recommend this business.

After my insurance company caused complications that led to First Call terminating the job which I understood, I received an invoice in May of last year. I paid that balance in full with two separate checks within two weeks. I have the receipts, the copies of the checks, and the bank statements showing exactly when First Call cashed them. After a full year of zero communication, I woke up today to a voicemail and email threatening to send me to collections within 48 hours. They claimed they had been "trying to reach me" for 12 months, which is untrue. I checked my call logs and my email history; there was absolutely nothing. When I called and provided my proof of payment and the exact dates they cashed my checks, they admitted the "error" was simply because someone forgot to check a box in their system. It is incredibly stressful and offensive to have your credit threatened because a company can't be bothered to check their own bank deposits before sending out threats. As a veteran, I live by a standard of integrity and doing your due diligence. Relying on a "checked box" as the Bible instead of doing actual research is lazy and unprofessional. Do better, not just for your customers, but for the reputation of the guys out there doing the actual work.

I had a roof leak last Dec 2025 due to heavy rains. My wall and floor got affected and needs to be…read morerepaired. My insurance assigned MDC builders to mitigate and fix the issue. I appreciate the job they did during the mitigation process by containing the area with a thick plastic membrane. They removed the affected walls and floors to prevent molds from sprouting. The paper works took a while for the repair to kick in. I love the way they meticulously repair the wall including the painting of the entire ceiling, reinstallation of the blinds, and cleaning process. The wall repair took at least 2 days to complete. The demolition and the installation of the floor was also good. If there's one thing that needs to be improved is the workflow from the flooring guys. During the demolition process, there was no plastic covering for the appliances like tv, gas range, or even in the kitchen area where dust accumulate. They are also not courteous on removal of toilet seat (dragging into the floor) and doors with respect to where they should be placed temporarily. But overall they did a great job on the floor installation. The next step on the repair process was the caulking and painting of baseboard which they did an awesome job; from preparation to completion. The last step was the delivery and reset of the furnitures. I highly recommend Jordi on the hauling out and in of our furnitures. He make sure that each and every furnitures are wrapped in blanket and plastic and other smaller items are appropriately contained in a box with paper fillings. He's very professional on the way he handles the job. As always, there's always a room for improvement, but I still recommend MDC Builders on any project based on my experience.

It gave me piece of mind that things were done professionally, safely, and properly for both myself and their team's health. After describing the job, I was given a verbal quote of roughly how much it would cost. Of the 4 quotes, one was several thousand higher than the other 3. Eisen's verbal quote was in the same ballpark as the others. Only downside is that they are scheduled 1.5 months out and very busy.
