The most impressive thing of all is that they managed to clean our kitchen hood. We rent and when we moved in six years ago it was already dripping grease, it was so gunked up (like, it was literally coming out of the light and fan switches). We hired cleaners when we first moved in but they looked at the hood and said it couldn't be done, so ever since we never bothered to clean it or look into getting it cleaned. I didn't mention the hood to the Magic Hands cleaners and assumed they would also skip it like the previous cleaners, so my jaw hit the floor when they showed it to me after they had finished the house. They have also made sure to have at least two staff cleaning the apartment so that my 1100 sq apt is usually done in less than two hours. I had texted what I needed and when, and Debora replied to me their availability and what to expect. Basically, the cleaning crew would come and assess the job and provide an estimate. If the rate was acceptable they would begin cleaning immediately. Maria and Rosa worked for four hours, a total of 8 man hours. I am so grateful at how much they got done, it would have taken me more than two days to do what they did. Maria was the lead of this team. She speaks some Spanish but her first language is Brazilian Portuguese. We were able to communicate pretty well using Google Translate. I am working toward decluttering the rest of the house (a daunting task as dad is a bit of a hoarder) and will be reaching out to Ana's Cleaning Service again in the future. And maybe I can learn a little bit of their language, too!
