This is one of the most popular rides in Epcot. Even within couple of hours of opening, the wait time was more than 40 minutes. I signed for fast lane for this ride, so we were able to skip the line and get to ride in about 5 minutes. It is a ride on a boat that floats through a water pathway. It goes through several sections illustrating the development of civilization from the stone age. Then it enters a wonderful space where we got to see indoor plantation of all the fruits, vegetables, flowers, and trees we all know and eat. Finally it went thru fishery station where some of the tanks actually had farm fish. Overall it was a nice smooth ride. Very friendly for kids. But as an adult it was okay for me.

This attraction & ride rarely changes, and that's just why we like it. This relaxing, cool boat ride through different ecosystems that finally lands into a world of plants and fishes is beautiful. Today the wait is a little longer than usual, but that's OK. It's worth it.

Wow....such a beautiful greenhouses, fish tanks and plants, flowers to cruise through history of farming. Its worth every minute waiting in the line. When we were line it was fun to read all wall arts which it was great quotes...it is very unique experience and it was fun to sit back and enjoy the ride while learning interesting objects! I think it will be fun for everyone despite the age. Waiting line was long as the other games lines so no complaints! Peaceful and chill so try it and look at this ride as a learning and fun session.

This is classic, family friendly boat tour of the history of horticulture, the greenhouse, the fish hatchery, and a glimpse of the Garden Grill. The greenhouses are in my opinion the best feature, especially during Christmas. Just expect the usually short lines to be upward of an hour during the holidays.

it's been forever since I have been on this ride. I have been meaning to try to go on it during the Christmas holiday season, but it never end up making it. The first half of the ride is similar to spaceship earth with the fake scenes and video descriptions of different parts of the world. The interesting part is when you get into the gardening area. They have all different types of agriculture, and plants growing. They talk about some of the plants being used as food at the restaurants on Disney property. It's good if you're trying to get out of the summer heat for some air conditioning.

A pleasant slow moving boat ride that shows the modern technology of how to address growing food in sustainable environments.

A ride more geared toward adults than kids with a focus on food sustainability. Guided tour explains what you are witnessing in real time. Great for those who want a glimpse of how we can do better with growing techniques. Definitely worth a visit if you want in from the heat at Epcot.

An all time favorite ride, especially during Christmas time. They decorate the land and it feels very festive. Such a nostalgic ride for the family.

Living with the land is a boat cruise ride located inside Epcot's Land Pavilion. It's on the first level and typically has a low wait time. It's one of my favorite attractions inside Epcot. Soarin is also in the same building. It's a educational ride, discovering the history of farming. You'll also learn about new techniques such as hydroponics. There are some dark areas throughout the ride. During those areas, you'll listen to the history of growing crops. Throughout the ride, you'll see some of Disney's greenhouses and learn about sustainability practices. It's a really neat ride and It's quite beneficial to ride it at least once! There are no height restrictions for this ride and it's family friendly, especially with all of the rows in a single boat.

During the Christmas season Living with the Land boat ride receives a holiday overlay. The overlay adds to the popularity of this ride. It is a slow boat ride that introduces you to the ecosystem and then takes you to see the greenhouses. The addition of the lights brings out the holiday flair. They have lights in the working areas as well as along the greenhouses. Riding through the tunnel adds to the effect. Yes, you will see a topiary Mickey but you have to be quick to catch him. He shows up so fast. It is very educational and they do offer guided tours of the greenhouses for an additional fee. Garden Grill restaurant sits above the attraction and some of the food they serve are grown here. The ride focuses on solar energy and conservation. Expect longer wait times for this attraction during the holiday season but since the boats hold a lot of people it isn't overly long. Living with the land is one of EPCOT's original attractions and I love how they decked it out for the holidays. Check it out if you are in the area. Located in the Land Pavillion in EPCOT center.

Giant game pieces, oversized footprints, building blocks used as architecture, and Christmas lights strung overhead as decoration all reinforced the scale in a way that rewarded me for actually looking around rather than just moving from ride to ride. Slinky Dog Dash is the anchor attraction and delivered as a family coaster that works for a wide range of ages. It is smooth, fast enough to feel exciting, and the Toy Story theming throughout the track layout is well integrated. Wait times regularly stretch past an hour, so prioritizing it early in the day or using Lightning Lane is the practical move. Toy Story Mania is an interactive 4D shooting game that holds up across multiple rides and was genuinely competitive and fun for my group. Alien Swirling Saucers is the gentler option that skews younger, but it is an easy yes for anyone who does not mind spinning. Woody's Lunch Box is worth building a meal or snack stop around. The totchos and grilled cheese are the items that keep coming up for good reason, and the Lunch Box Tarts are worth grabbing for dessert if I want something to eat while I keep moving through the land. The one consistent practical note is that the area has very little shade and gets genuinely hot during the middle of the day. Coming in during the early morning or staying into the evening is the right call. At night the land takes on a different quality with the lighting, and it is worth lingering in if my park day extends into the evening hours.

We came here for Toy Story Mania!, which I enjoyed. I reviewed that ride separately here on Yelp and gave it four stars. A popular ride here is Slinky Dog Dash. It looks fun, but I'm not a fan of roller coasters. There's also Alien Swirling Saucers, a spinning ride similar to Mad Tea Party. Unfortunately, I'm not interested in getting motion sickness. My wife thinks Woody's Lunch Box is fun. It's a counter-service restaurant themed after Sheriff Woody, the iconic cowboy from the movies (voiced by Tom Hanks). Toy Story Land at Disney World opened on June 30, 2018. Other versions exist in France (the original), Hong Kong, and Shanghai. The Florida version is the newest of the four and replaced the Studio Backlot Tour, which I visited as a kid circa 1989-1990 (RIP).

We were able to enjoy slow mornings, have a relaxing brunch, skip the early rush, and still enjoy full evenings in the parks. Even in mid-July, the crowds were much lighter than expected. The Florida heat and humidity were no joke, but bringing cooling fans made a huge difference. We also purchased Lightning Passes, and they were worth every penny. Because of the heat, we focused more on indoor attractions and shows, which ended up being a great strategy. My only suggestion? Disney could use a few more water rides across the four main parks, not just at the water parks. The parks were spotless, Cast Members were consistently friendly and helpful, complimentary water cups were easy to find, and somehow Disney's famous mosquito control system really does seem to work. We barely noticed any bugs, which is pretty remarkable for central Florida. A special thank you to Megan from Kansas State, who was working in Frontierland. She spent extra time answering our daughter's questions with so much kindness and patience. Then, completely unexpectedly, she surprised our family with VIP viewing passes for the parade and fireworks in a private viewing area. It turned an already wonderful day into a memory we'll never forget. Even with the scorching heat, the Disney magic never melted. In fact, I'd say the magic was on fire.
