But yet literally 7 min after my scheduled appointment MY CARD was charged 40$$ !!!! This is outrageous considering my treatment is not even worth that much im only lasering my underarms they didn't call back or anything straight charge to my card ! Sev does not care about their customers and it took me until today to realize this. They claim to have a "24-hour cancellation policy" but if you have an appointment on Monday, that policy doesn't apply to you and is actually 48 hours since they are closed on Sunday. I went to Urgent Care on Sunday bc I was really sick and was diagnosed with an infection and was put on antibiotics. I tried calling Sev multiple times to cancel my appointment on Monday, but since they were closed, no one was answering. Monday morning, I called them the second I woke up and asked if I could possibly reschedule because of how sick I was and they literally told me to come even though I was sick because if I didn't come, they would have to charge me a cancellation fee which would be about $200. I said ok, and dragged myself out of bed, drove 30 min to their office to do my session, and then the nurse refused to do my session when she found out I was on antibiotics. I started crying because I was so frustrated and exhausted and couldn't believe what was happening. It's like damned if I do and damned if I don't at this place. She took me to the front desk and the girl there told me the same thing that I would have to pay a $200 cancellation fee. As I stood there with tears running down my face, I told her exactly how I tried cancelling on Sunday and in the morning and how I was TOLD to come in. She went to the back to speak to her manager and then came back up to tell me that she would be able to waive the cancellation fee finally. How gracious of them. I've been coming here for about 5 months now, and the nurses are generally nice, but their policies are ridiculous. She couldn't even reschedule me because they are completely booked up for the entire upcoming month. So I wasted over an hour of my time, because these people would rather have me come in and cry to get my cancellation fee waived than just listen to me when I called in initially. I'm not sure who's to blame here, their stupid policies or the people answering the phones. The management clearly needs to get it together. I, unfortunately, still have 2 more sessions here that I cannot get refunded but I will definitely never recommend any of my friends or family to come here. Please don't make the same mistake I did and give your business to these people. read more

I usually don't write bad reviews but the customer service at Rancho Cucamonga is very disappointing. I was 5 minutes late to my appointment that I booked a month in advance and they turned me down, then gave me the option to either charge me 50% cancellation fee or remove one of my sessions. They failed to inform me that they were going to cancel my appointment that I drove an hour for. I received no text messages or calls. One of the front desk girls was extremely rude and was giving me an attitude even when I was just asking for clarification on SEVs policies. This is just utterly disappointing. I wasted my time driving so far just to be (not even greeted!) by a bitter woman. Train your girls SEV! read more

My only area of improvement would be to allow people to see the same nurse at each visit so that continuity can be sustained. I've been going here for 8 months. Each time I've seen a different nurse. I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews on issues with customer service which I have not had. I've had cordial receptionists and warm, welcoming technicians. The prices are good, the customer service has been fine for me, and it's a very clean place which I acknowledge. However, my complaint is what happened on my last visit which was the 4th, maybe 5th session here. I get a Brazilian every-time and I've had very nice, patient, welcoming technicians who are quick and appear to know what they're doing. However, the last time I went, I unfortunately suffered what appears as damage that i'm praying is temporary. The technician stated every session, they go up a little higher so it would be more painful. It was slightly painful but what had me clenching my jaw was HER ROUTINE, NOT the equipment. The other technicians pull the lips apart and laser inside. This particular technician, clearly uncomfortable, did not touch it at all. Instead, with the laser, she went OVER the OUTSIDE of the labia and face of the vagina. She did it repeatedly, OVER ,OVER, OVER, OVER, and OVER. It was causing burning, searing pain and brought tears to my eyes. I told her it was too painful for me but she stated, "Don't worry it's just a little higher this time but we're almost done." So I bit my lip and prayed for the overwhelming pain to be over and then it was. When I got home, I noticed the Labia Minora was incredibly enlarged and swollen, the size of Kylie Jenner's own facial lips. And there was a weird dent on the face of the vagina. I called my friend, a customer of SEV, and she told me to place ice packs and try to decrease the swelling. So, I used ice packs for a few days and it did decrease a bit. So, i THOUGHT it was temporary... It has been one month and it is NOT temporary. It is still enlarged and swollen and there is still the weird dent. I don't know WTF happened but I'm afraid it's permanent. I'm waiting until SEV opens so i can call and then I'm calling my OBGYN ASAP. My opinion, if you really like one of the technicians, try and stick with that one. I've been accepting random technicians and that was my downfall. Also, if ANYTHING is swollen or in pain, don't wait a month, call SEV right away and your doctor. Otherwise, you'll be stuck with damage by SEV. read more

We missed our appointment by 5 minutes (at the rancho location) due to a road accident, and after driving 45 minutes to the appointment the front desk lady was extremely rude and unaccommodating. I would not recommend because one of the front desk ladies treated us with no respect. This is not the type of service that you should be paying for. Very nice employees, always welcoming and quickly get you signed in. Wait time is not long and office space is very clean. All the clinicians are friendly and answer all your questions. They make you feel like a friend and comfortable. The only down side and maybe it's a good thing but trying to make your follow-up appointment is a mission. Always booked! I waited 45 min for my appt for them to tell me I have to reschedule because I used retinol. Keep in mind they have a strict cancelation policy. Purchased a Groupon for a package of 6 laser hair removal treatments, the service there is extremely fast. Usually booked in 15-20 minute blocks however the appointment will last about 5 minutes. Not enough time is taken for results. I've started growing about 70% of my hair back Just 2 months post trestment completion. Not enough focus and time was spent. Also, booking at this location can be a nightmare. Rarely do they have availability for the 4 week apart service forcing to schedule services 6 weeks apart or more. This place is marketed well and has gained popularity on Groupon for the ongoing deals however with increased numbers it's decreased it's service quality. Besides those major issues, the location is eastethicly pleasing, Ambiance is always relaxing and the cashier's are friendly. read more

I had an appointment at 3:15pm showed up at 2:40pm because they told me to show up 30 minutes for the numbing cream however they didn't give me that till 3:00pm around 3:20 they finally told me that the doctor called to say he was running late and that they couldn't get ahold of him. I was okay with that I understand things happen, I waited till 3:49pm till they told me that he had an accident and couldn't show up so they couldn't reschedule my appointment until the next two weeks. I was annoyed and ended up getting a refund since I live 1 hour away and didn't want to deal with that anymore. read more

This place is a joke! Straight money grab or publicity grab for booking clients with the Groupon offers. No customer service or customer service pampering that one expects from other laser places. You get a discounted price for a certainty discounted service! First visit....after sweating like the fat kid at PE in their hot waiting room for 40 minutes. You ever heard of drapes, blinds or curtains? Maybe the AC should be higher when the sun beams down all the time? Or does that goes against the "LA Sheek" appearance you are trying so hard to be? After filling out the forms in the iPad we get called to back to a concrete slab white room with a sink and piece of laser hardware. It was like Dr. Evils lab was being remodeled. (That's why there is no pictures of the rooms here on yelp). Where the nurse explains the process, safety glasses, and asks questions (have you had laser before etc.). Then tells us after 5 minutes or questions and bullshit conversation that she was choosing not to do the laser because my daughter accidentally checked the been in sun box. She was not tan or anything from her usual complexion. No sun other than the usual daily exposure. Shit...she got enough sun to be disqualified from laser from being in your EZ bake oven of a waiting area. I tried to explain it was an accident, she's had laser before and gave my consent that it would be ok but still wouldn't. Ok, I understand you are being cautious, I thank you for that. Shouldn't that be something that you noticed immediately? Why do the whole speech and questions? Couldn't you just say that when we got in the room? Why waste anymore time? So.... I rescheduled the appointment to today. Second visit.... the laser in my scheduled room broke. No attempt to "squeeze" me in for wasting my time driving there. Just straight up canceled my appointment!! You could of called to let me know if it happened earlier or tried to fulfill the service for me in your other room? Nope! That's because it was the "Groupon" room that broke! As mentioned by other reviewers where it was blatantly said to them. It was certainly implied by the receptionist that the other ladies that were being seen while I tried to reschedule for the 3rd time, "oh those are regular customers". I've been here twice already and have no complaints. The girls here are super sweet and always greet you. I always feel welcomed coming here. And I'm in and out very quickly. Raylene was one of the girls up front and she is awesome. While I was waiting for my session, Raylene went out of her way to give me tips on how to take care of my curly hair. She even recommended some products for me, which I really appreciate. Also, Alexa is just the best. She was able to schedule me for my next 2 sessions with no issues. This place does get booked fast but the girls try their best to fit you in. And I can't forget Suzanne. She was the one who did my laser. She is the best. I felt super comfortable with her and she was able to answer all my questions with ease. We also talked about hiking and she recommended a hike that I plan on trying soon. read more

I have been to two other laser businesses before this one, I have been laser hair removal for about 2 years. For the past year I have been going to plush derma driving an hour to their El Monte location. I heard of SEV through a friend who bought a Groupon coupon. They're prices were very reasonable(clue 1). This place does not meet up to the Brazilian expectation. It's a pop up shop there's no doctor, no nurses, no one to ask questions, no customer service. I gave two stars because my friend said it worked for her, but she now has to pay extra for bikini. I didn't see a difference. Customer Service: Really bad customer service. (I did not purchase Groupon). Receptionist has a really bad attitude. I have never experienced such a bad attitude at a skin center(clue 2). Any questions I had she seemed bothered. While waiting I heard a lady say she didn't use all the areas in the coupon because of whatever reason and the receptionist said well you should have it's in your coupon it's going to count. Then the customer tells her well I let the nurse who called me know and she said it was fine. The receptionist responds with well she's unaware of how we run things here, I'm counting it as a session. This is not verbatim. But it was really the poorest customer service I've ever over heard. Receptionist have said they couldn't do things before just not with such arrogance. Honestly they already have your money why would she care to respect you..... Also there is no point in speaking to the manager. They all act the same way at this location. Pricing: This location does not include the bikini area in the Brazilian hair removal treatment. I have never EVER heard of a Brazilian without the bikini area. Definitions of Bikini and Brazilian The Bikini Line The area that lies outside of the panty line is considered the bikini line. A bikini line laser hair removal treatment typically covers up to three inches beyond this line, ensuring a flawless look in panties or a bikini. It often also addresses some areas that underwear covers, such as the sides of the labia and top of the pubic region, but this is up to the client. A Brazilian laser hair removal treatment includes more area than a bikini treatment because it includes the labia and perianal areas as well. This option leaves women completely bare, So if you bought a Groupon coupon and plan to use it on your bikini, guess what!!! You're paying extra to get the bikini done. (I did not get Groupon, but my friend did). Techs: I have never seen such uncomfortable techs!!! And I think it's because they might not have certification. Tech #1 When I was called in for my appointment the tech seemed uncomfortable with the labia and perianal areas. I was getting a Brazilian laser hair removal treatment. She didn't want to touch my skin which is necessary for the Brazilian. You have to be thorough with the labia areas and she wasn't she was asking me to lift skin here and there for her like girl pull it back and laser it. She seemed very timid. I went to Plushderma in El Monte and the techs there were actual nurses and CNAs. They were not timid in any way, friendly, talkative and they could answer any question I had, unlike at SEV. I honestly do not think these techs are nurses or have any type of clinical certification except for the nurse who did my Brazilian. However she still didn't do a thorough job with the Brazilian. Tech #2 I wanted to add an area once I went into the laser room and they wouldn't. Ughhhh so frustrating!! I did this all the time to every other clinic I had been too. I asked for three hairs in a small area to be lasered because I had just noticed them and she wouldn't. I had to make a whole other appointment just to get three hairs lasered. They had me waiting for 40 minutes past my appointment time to get these three hairs removed and when I did it took 5 seconds and the tech still missed a hair!!! This is the tech I was sure had no clinical background. Thank you for reminding me why I drive an hour for my treatments. read more

I am sad to report that this location seems to be lacking in regard to customer safety. I also feel as though treatments are inconsistent. No one nurse does the same as the last. I've had plenty of treatments now to know the difference between a good experience and a bad one. Lately things have been really bad (for me) at this location. During my last visit the nurse did not ask me to put on goggles, so I received my treatment with my eyes closed. She did a test patch on my forehead and when she adjusted the settings she went back to the same spot and zapped me again. It was SO painful that I flinched and moved my face away, it literally felt like someone had stabbed me with a knife in my head. The nurse yelled, "OMG YOU CAN NOT DO THAT!" I understand that I should not move but it was a natural reaction as a result of the pain I experienced from the laser. I also felt like she was moving way too fast and that is probably why I was injured. That was a first for me because I have receieved several treatments at SEV and have NEVER experienced anything like that before. Getting laser treatment has never hurt me before. After that incident, that area on my forehead was slightly swollen and felt like it had fluid. I reached out to customer support on the SEV website and never heard back from anyone. I am really disappointed by that. The time before that the nurse passed the laser over an area that shouldn't have been treated. I noticed after I left I had burnt hair on my hairline near my brow. I know it's a tight space to treat but other nurses have done just fine and used a wooden stick to block the areas I dont want treated. Long story short, I now have a bald spot in that area. Thanks guys! These are two separate occasions that have occurred back to back. To be honest I'm probably going to find a different place to get my laser treatments unless I am treated specifically by Maria and Maria only. She is the only nurse who I have had at this location that always covers all the questions and is very careful with her work. She is the only nurse that has treated me (other than a few from the Irvine location) that I no complaints about. read more
