This place is BUSY. The appointments are booked wayyyy far out. When I called to make my first appointment, I had to book nearly two months out. My appointment was 12pm on a Monday and I waited about 10-15 minutes to be seen after I checked in. The check-in process is very quick and easy, all done via an iPad. While I was waiting, there were about 10 new patients coming in and cycling through. Super busy! The wait was a little aggravating because I noticed that many of the girls that had arrived after me got called before me, but now from reading the reviews, perhaps this could be because I am a Groupon customer? I didn't mind too much, however, because I was still in and out within 30 minutes. The nurse I saw was very professional and mostly friendly. She was very much in a routine of getting clients in and out quickly, though. Almost felt a little abrupt, even. But, she was nice nonetheless. The laser itself was quite strong, but they have one that releases a burst of cold air following the laser, which eases a lot of the pain. In my opinion, the laser was much less painful than waxing. Overall, I would recommend this place, especially for the price of the groupon. This location is clean and professional. Most high-end laser places have over-the-top prices, but this place has quality equipment for a much lower price on Groupon. Get your appointments booked ASAP! read more

I give this location three stars because of the fake front desk staff. Their hello doesn't feel genuine, they come off bored, and uninterested in helping. They are the first people we interact with and a representative for the company. Yesterday I checked in early and asked if I can schedule for my next visit and she said no. She said "We are prompt to reschedule at the end of your appointment." She responded in a sassy attitude which I didn't appreciate. I find it hard to believe she couldn't schedule my appointment because at the Irvine location they would schedule while we waited. The nurses are all nice and warm. My results are taking longer than normal I feel because we never get the same nurse. With a consistent nurse who knows you I feel we could get better results. read more

She really listened to all my concerns and was validating each one (a great tactic to use rather than defending problems that occur). I really appreciate the time she took to handle my concerns w delicacy. I purposefully and fairly waited for 3 sessions to go by before updating my review. The 2 sessions following my initial review were GREAT. The entire staff made significant improvement! However, my most recent one went OK. 1 star mostly given for lack of taking their time, having correct settings (maybe purposefully so you increase your sessions?) So I was told that most of the body parts I wanted treated didn't qualify for laser hair removal because my hair wasn't "thick or dark enough". After the evaluation the only part that it would work on was my lower half arm. I have my last session left and the results are horrible and funny at the same time. before I thought I was simply hairy now I'm still hairy but in patches . I'm more embarrassed to show my arms now than before. I have communicated this to them from session 2-now and the only time I noticed a huge difference was in either session 3 or 4 were I again communicated my results were patchy and she told me the setting was probably wrong at olive skin not in the lightest setting which she thought was more suitable for my skin tone. She also took her time covering every section on my arm (approx 10min the other times I have been there are less than 5min and it's obvious they don't cover all the area). Since you don't get the same person, then you are back to square 1 each session explaining yourself/results So yeah what a waste of time Worst in person, pictures don't look that bad read more

This was my first time going to this office and I must say I had a great experience. The young ladies in the front desk were very friendly and answered all my questions. They also made sure to ask of my overall experience when I was paying. I also want to give a shout out to the nurse that did my injectables her name was Diana-- she was awesome, she explained everything very thoroughly and made made feel very comfortable-- I will definitely book my future appointments with her. I've been coming here since I bought a groupon for Hair removal. Every time I come the girls at the desk are always so friendly and attentive... The place is super cute and always has fresh flowers. I have gotten treatment done by 2 different girls and they have both been very friendly and made me feel comfortable... there pricing is reasonable and I am seeing great results. It honestly doesn't hurt as bad as they say..The sessions are always really quick, and they have you in and out from your appointment time. The place is a little small so sometimes it gets a little crowded in the waiting area... Overall 5 stars for their great staff and service. I just finished my 6th session of laser hair removal on my underarms today, This location is clean and the staff is ok. I've had good experiences with some of the staff, while others have been stand-offish. Most of my appointments have started on time and been quick. I did book one of my sessions on Saturday and I waited about 20 minutes, which was unusual. It didn't bother me much, because that particular nurse was the best one I had out of all the sessions. My results: So far, I feel just ok about my results. The 1st and 2nd sessions were great, the hair didn't grow back very much. The 3rd and 4th sessions were not as great. My hair was growing back as usual. I had long patches at the top and bottom on my armpits, which lead me to believe the nurses weren't touching those spots. At the 5th session, I told the nurse about the hair patches and how fast my hair was growing back. I noticed she turned the machine up to 12, when I usually saw a 10 on the screen for my previous 4 sessions. The results after the 5th session were much better! Today, was my last session. I got a nurse that was in training (someone was supervising). I told her about my progress this far. I noticed the machine was set at 14 this time. We will see how my results are from here. I do not like that the nurses are inconsistent. Some are nice and informative and others barely say 2 words. It's a different nurse every time and I do not think they follow up with each other at all. I noticed the machine was set to 10 for 4 of my 6 sessions, when I'm pretty sure they should have been increasing the machine settings more often. It was not until I complained about my results, did the nurse increase the machine setting. The lady checking your temp is always pleasant and friendly. The front desk staff is ok. During my first few sessions, the front desk staff would ask very loudly, if wanted to leave gratuity on the card. This is a pet peeve of mine! I literally stopped going to another hair removal establishment for this reason alone. I will leave gratuity if I feel like my service was great, not because you're being aggressive and pressuring me. I don't think I'll be returning to SEV. I want to start my Brazilian and lower legs, but I refuse to spend the money and risk such inconsistent service. read more

I have been to SEV Laser about 5 or 6 times and I have had a very good experience with the ladies at the front desk as well as the laser technicians every single time. The one down side is that it can be difficult to schedule but I suppose that speaks into their popularity. Second visit: Had a great first visit but the second was not the same at all. Went in for my second session today, got a different laser technician, she started drawing on the laser lines and I noticed she was leaving out my knees (which Britney did last time) if I pay for 6 sessions for the same area I expect to get the same areas done every time. She just stated no it's a different area and wanted me to pay more to "add it on"; very disappointing consistency is key. I will not be buying additional areas from this laser place and will just continue what I already paid for here unless I get consistency, #disappointed. First visit: I went in today for my first laser hair removal appointment with SEV! The Nurse Selina was great and professional she answered all my questions and made me feel at ease and comfortable.. I had underarm and Brazilian laser treatment looking forward to the next treatment in 4 weeks as recommended and they were so accommodating to my schedule. The place is really pretty! But the service isn't the best. The front desk is not the friendliest, they make me feel like I don't belong there. I know they give you instructions and guidelines initially when you first sign on...but after all the information I'd hope for recaps! I got my face lasered time after time and never did they tell me to take the peach fuzz off before I go, so that was a waste of money! Well I met someone who I told laser wasn't really working for me and she asked me do you take these hairs off prior to the procedure, uh no I never shave my face.. then she said your supposed to, that's why it's not working, why wouldn't they tell you that when they see your face. If I could have put a zero I would first there are nurses preforming this treatment I am not sure of their training or certification but I was burned from the laser pretty severe it was so painful for about two weeks my skin dried and flaked and it looked horrible I'm still nursing it back to health I am a woman of color and our tan skin require special consideration to have laser treatment done and the nurse was not trained to do it if you are of color I urge you NOT to risk it . I purchased a Groupon to try out SEV after my previous laser provided closed their doors. I've been getting laser for 5+ years for my Brazilian and before SEV I was in maintain mode and only needing to go every 4-6 months because I had such little growth. I've only been to SEV twice but I see no results after each appointment. Growth almost immediately. It's very disappointing. Next appointment I am going to beg them to crank it up because I feel like I'm wasting my money. I do think because they are so busy they don't take the time like some other places might... WHERE DO I START?! I've gotten laser hair removal and I've been committed to The Skin Agency but I got tired of making the 1 hour drive (so worth it). I have friends who get lasered at Sev LA and they told me about the new Rancho Cucamonga location so I decided to give it a try.... My first issue, When trying to make an appointment, the receptionist Priscella was incompetent at telling me the availability. She kept putting me on hold and when I FINALLY get to book an appointment after probably 10 minutes of being on hold... she kept cutting me off saying "We dont have that available. We dont have that available," Rather than working with me to figure out what was available. I grew frustrated and told her to just forget it and that I'd book online. I ended up doing so and ended up having to book an appointment a month out, since it was the only one available that worked with my schedule. Fast forward to the week of my appointment. I get a text that I need to confirm my appointment (normal) which I did. But then I also get a text saying I need to FaceTime with a doctor???? I found that concept to be a little weird to me. I understand needing to be cleared for precautions, but over FACETIME?! Weird. I've been lasered several times and have not had to do anything of that nature before. Anywho, I FT'd with the doctor and he asked typical laser hair removal-esque questions. He asked if I had been taking iron supplements to which I told him yes. He asked how much dosage, to which I let him know. He told me he would get back to me and let me know if it would be an issue. He never did so I assumed I was all clear. The next day, I get another text from them telling me to fill out forms... but I was never sent any...(confusion) Fast forward to my "appointment." I get there and the receptionist (Priscella) is on the phone texting. She was very lackluster and unwelcoming. I then have to fill out 20 minutes worth of forms...joy. I finally finish and the laser tech brings me to the room. I dont remember her name (something with a B) but she was WONDERFUL. Very nice, knew what she was doing and seemed very experienced. She made up for all the crappy attitudes I dealt with prior. We chat and I put on my goggles and right before she starts she asks if Im on iron and I tell her yes. She then tells me we have to rebook because of that... I'm annoyed but I dont blame her though she was just doing her job. Lord knows I couldve had a bad reaction but WHY ON EARTH DID THE DOCTOR CLEAR ME THEN?! I go back to the front to get rebooked and yet again the incompetence of trying to book me an appointment begins again. Instead of telling me what they DO have all she tells me is what she DOESNT. What sense does that make? We were finally able to find a new date but I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth. This place has a reputation of everyone being so friendly and professional and I wish I could've seen that...because Lord knows I saw just the opposite (besides the laser tech). They need someone more upbeat and competant and vibrant up front. Im tired of dealing with the girl they've got. They also need a more organized/better communication system with this "doctor", because I could've saved myself so much time. I first came here because I was tired of waxing. I decided to give it a try and I purchased a package for my face. I was pretty satisfied with the results. I never had any issues that was until recently. Every time you go, you get a different person that does the laser hair removal. Some technicians are really nice and listen to your concerns. You have to reiterate your problem areas every time because you get someone new. This last time that I went, I got a technician that I've never had before. From her tone, I could tell that she was fairly new. I had my face done with her and it burned a lot. I've never felt pain like that before. Once I left, I looked at my face and I was extremely red. I thought it would go away but it's now been almost two weeks and the redness has not gone away. I came to the conclusion that she burned my face. I am extremely frustrated because I take very good care of my face and one inexperienced technician ruined it. If you experience a burn, please tell them to STOP. I thought it was normal but it is not. I have undergone through over 10 laser treatments on my face and I've never had an issue until now. Sev please make sure you are properly training your technicians. I am not happy with this outcome and I am now scared to continue the treatment on my face due to this horrible experience. read more

I scheduled my appointment about a month prior due to my work schedule. Which is fine because I had to build up the nerve to go through with the treatment. I was contacted the day prior by a nurse practitioner for a video consultation. It was super fast. I was also sent all forms in advance so it minimized the time I spent in the office. When I went in my temperature was taken and I was checked in. I was taken into a room by Maddie at my appointment time, so there is no waiting forever in a waiting room. She was super sweet and very informative. I was so nervous but she put me at ease. I had two areas done, brazilian and underarm. Neither hurt whatsoever. It felt like cold air more than anything else. I was a little shy, but Maddie just did her job and didn't even blink an eye. She made me feel really comfortable. She was great. Some months I've been scheduled for two sessions and another month I arrive for a scheduled appointment via email and calendar to find out it was oddly cancelled. Today I arrived 20 mins before my scheduled time, confirm that my email and appointment was for the said time only for her to apologize and ask if I could wait another hour because she doesn't have an opening. Not sure how to answer that as it seems I didn't have a choice. Payments are also somehow always an issue at check out. They can't keep track of the packages I've purchased and tell me three different prices in one duration of me asking. The technicians are always on point, friendly and efficient in their jobs. *Visited business before COVID-19; appreciation post* I was referred here by a friend and I am so glad they told me about this place. For one, it's super local, and two they are very affordable. I had been wanting to do laser for a while but the price can be a little too much. They charge $50 per session, I'm assuming the price varies depending on what you're doing. The sessions are super quick, 15 minutes tops, so they really have you in and out of there. It's not very big inside but the decor is very cute and chic. I found a groupon for 6 sessions on a large area for $125...pretty sweet deal if you ask me. A lot of people ask if the laser hurts and to be honest, waxing hurts waaaaay more. These sessions are quick and almost painless. The most "pain" I've felt is a little pinch. I would recommend anyone try this place when they open back up. read more

I got a Groupon deal for about 260$ for 6 sessions for 1 large area. After you buy the groupon, make sure you call SEV to schedule your appointment. This place is a hot spot. So the earliest scheduling will probably be in 6-8 weeks. When I went into the appointment, the front desk checked my temperature, then had me washed my hands. Then you are able to check-in. I was waiting in the lobby for 5-10mins for my session. The nurse made me feel super comfortable and explained the entire process. I was out of the session in less than 5 mins.
