I cannot reccomend this place enough. I went for breakfast with my grandpa and almost didn't stay cause it was packed and we didn't think we'd find seating. The owner waved us down as we were leaving to let us know he had a booth open if we wanted it still and boy am I glad we stayed. I got the banana pancakes with some sausage and eggs. It was beautiful. Chefs kiss. The owner? So kind, so funny, amazing all around. He sent us home with some greek bread to top it all off. I do not recommend this Diner they clearly don't know what the heck they're doing when I received my order I asked for Sunnyside up eggs and a specific amount and that wasn't done they gave my way less remind you they charge me for the extra ones that I asked for they didn't cook it thoroughly the clear liquid was still on the eggs it was disgusting I had to discard it I got sick from their sausages that weren't done thoroughly as well everything was just a hot mess I will never order from these people ever again they're not nice over the phone it's just like they rush you off the phone and that is not professional at all‍ read more

I went to check this place out since it got high ratings on Yelp. It didn't disappoint! I was really hungry, but regardless it was delicious. Cooked to perfection my beef gyro combo was sooo good. It came with French fries and a small Greek salad. Very fresh. My mother got the pastrami sandwich and it came with coleslaw and pickle. The coleslaw was also fresh and tasted good. Some diners have coleslaw that taste meh or old but this one was good. That usually tells me it's a descent place that doesn't skimp on quality. It's part of a strip mall. It's a small cute diner with can probably seat 50 people max. It was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. I definitely would come back here again. The prices are very good. Considering this is a smaller and more cozy diner, the food and service is really great. My family loves going to diners for breakfast on the weekends (especially this one because of the service and great prices), but as a vegan it's always a struggle to find a decent meal at a diner. I love coming to central plaza though because they can really hook up a good plate of home fries for me. I typically get a side of home fries with veggies (mushrooms, spinach, onion, broccoli) and it always comes out great. This with an apple juice or a side of mixed fruit holds me over nicely. Unfortunately, they don't have a veggie burger which is my second if not first go to order when going to a diner, but hopefully it gets added. if not I'll be perfectly content eating their crispy and veggie-filled home fries. read more

I used to go to this diner for many years and just moved back into the area after being relocated out of state for Two years. I ordered an Omelette and my wife ordered Pancakes. The food was much lower quality than it used to be and there was a surcharge on the eggs since they said the prices went up. We ate dinner here in early September 2024. It was the best meal we had in a month-long road trip around New York State. The place does not look like much on the outside, but it was so nice to walk into an air-conditioned, cheerful environment on a hot day. The server was very friendly. After living nearby for years and never trying this place, we can't get enough of it. We finally discovered it a few weeks ago, and it has already become one of our go-to places, both for eating out and ordering in. We have liked everything we have tried, breakfast, traditional diner fare, sandwiches, and quality dinners. Prices are reasonable. Quality is great. Portions are big. And the service is absolutely top-notch, and super friendly. The only "negatives" are that parking can be a little tight, as can seating inside. This should not dissuade you. I only mention it so that you are prepared. Our first time, we had to park a bit away and walk, but we have been able to park in the lot on subsequent trips. Inside, there don't seem to be any tables, only booths. It is perfect for my wife and I. But you might want to think about the seating arrangement if you have a larger party. They have great specials, for a nice variety. And whenever we have ordered delivery, we have gotten our food quickly. We love this place, especially the super-nice staff. read more

I always go to this diner since it's so close and has a very homey feel, but lately the food hasn't been all that great- I ordered a Spanish omelette and when I got it it was a regular omelette with what looks like very watery salsa poured all over it. Very unappetizing My spouse ordered a bagel with cream cheese and jelly and they just threw a square slab of cream cheese on it and gave me 2 packets of jelly on the side- which was upsetting- honestly charge me half price if I have to do half your work for you. The service is great and the servers are always very nice but it seems like you need a new cook in back- this one seems pretty lazy and isn't making a good meals anymore. Ok diner, but not one of the better choices. Been passing this place for years, though never tried them. Finally decided to give this place a try recently. Inside is very small, but has an older nostalgic feel to it. If you come during a busy time, be prepared to wait in the small waiting area. I don't mind the small cutesy size of this place, but others may. The waiters are very friendly. The service was quick enough. The breakfast was "ok" - I've definitely had better. The french toast wasn't anything special. The sausages were thicker than the norm, but also nothing special. Maybe I came on an off day, but I probably won't come back for breakfast unless I have no other choice. This is one of those places were they don't accept cards, so you need to have cash with you for the bill. The parking lot is poorly structured, but it's the fault of the landlord and not this place. Use caution, because a lot of people have trouble maneuvering in the biggest of lots as it is. I was very upset with this small diner when I observed them not following ANY Covid protocol when we were in the thick of things. No masks, no attempt. After a short hiatus the boys are back with another diner review. Amidst much fanfare we hit the Central Plaza Diner in Yonkers. There was a decent crowd but we sat rather quickly and our meal commenced. As we sat and perused the menu it seemed as if people were staring in our direction and whispering...were people starting to recognize us??? Is it possible people are hitting Westchester Diners more frequently on Tuesday mornings in hope of catching a glimpse of Diner Royalty??...Or was it simply because we were wearing matching baby blue tuxedos?? Hard to tell. Back to the review. As per usual, I had whole wheat pancakes with bacon and eggs and my partner in crime had the Challah French toast. We were pleasantly surprised with the time it took to get the food but even more so about serving sizes - the plates were loaded with deliciousness. We did our best to devour every last bite but we fell a little short. It was at this very moment when we decided we couldn't handle any more that the server was dropping the check, clearing our table and rushing us out. In total, we were probably at the table for 13 minutes. My brother and I hadn't even gotten a chance to finish our business meeting before we got the proverbial "Thank you, come again". You get sucked in by their sign in the window for a breakfast special but when you get inside you find out it's "not being offered today because it's President's Day" So once you decide to try the breakfast anyway they hit you with a check for $10!
