My cousin's lunch: vegetable omelette & fries w/ mozzarella cheese
    Angela R.

Came here for lunch w/ my cousin & our friend. Waiter came a couple minutes after we were seated & asked if we would like something to drink. Im basic I ordered water w/ lemon. Then when he came w/ the drinks we ordered he asked if we were ready to order. The rest of my party was but I wasn't. The menu is so huge I didn't know where to begin. I ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup & grilled cheese w/ ham. My soup was fresh & homemade. It came w/ fresh chicken & vegetables. The grilled cheese & ham came out hot w/ a side of Cole slaw & a pickle. The grilled cheese w/ ham tasted off i don't know what it was. That's why I gave them 4 stars instead of five. The cole slaw though was so fresh & delicious. I'm a huge cole slaw critic. Waiter & bus boy were very attentive & friendly. Inside is what your basic diners looks like. Nothing spectacular.

    buttermilk pancakes and vegetable wrap!

my friend recommended we come here a couple of months ago, and we finally found the chance to make plans for a quick lunch together. i immediately noticed, and adored, the vintage-style decor. a majority of the patrons looked older, but we didn't feel "out of place." in fact, they added a subtle air of comfort to the atmosphere. as a vegan, i did have trouble looking for something to eat. i saw plenty of vegetarian options that i thought sounded good, including the black bean chipotle burger. i asked the waiter if i could possibly modify the item to be vegan. he admitted that he didn't know and would have to ask the kitchen. a man, who i believe to be the owner, soon brought me a spiral notebook listing the ingredients and allergens in each component of the dishes served. i didn't expect such an accommodation and truly appreciated their efforts. i flipped through the sections specifically for breads and wraps before settling on the vegetable wrap with french fries (omit the cheese and sub a spinach wrap) and an almond milk cappuccino. my friend ordered 3 buttermilk pancakes. he cleared his plate, which i'm assuming means he enjoyed the food, as did i. the wrap seemed a bit on the smaller side upon arrival, but had been packed full of vegetables. everything tasted delicious, including my coffee; a standard cappuccino. nothing more, nothing less, and it doesn't have to be. i unfortunately wouldn't return of my own volition due to the lack of vegan options, but if anybody i know invites me out, i'll happily visit again.

I have not eaten here in a few years but it is better than ever. I had the spinach and feta cheese pie with phyllo crust and Greek salad (an extra $3.95 on the $14.95 ') pie'. So delicious, lovely diner service, that means cozy, personal and you feel welcome. I ordered a serving to take home and reqlozed they also had a $20 brook Trout Almondine so I took a dinner home with me; while fish baked with butter and almonds, matzoh ball soup with chicken and noodles, bread and vegetable and potato. Definitely going again.

Nice, decent diner. Been passing by here for many years until I finally decided to give this place a try. It's called "Fountain" diner, but the small fountain in the front wasn't even working - but it may just be a seasonal thing. Inside is small, but comfortable. There is ample enough seating and it wasn't a busy time, so there was plenty of spots to choose from. The menu is standard diner with some minor differences. I wanted breakfast, but couldn't decide and they didn't have one of those "lumberjack" options with enough decent offerings (ham, bacon, OR sausage for example - not all 3), so I went with my usual bacon cheeseburger. Some items were a little higher than the norm, but I don't mind paying a few cents more if it's quality. Burger was made just fine and the fries were good. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. They share the lot with two other businesses on either side, but the parking spaces are clearly marked for the diner patrons. All in all a decent diner and one in which I'd return to.

Staff is attentive and checks in relatively often My turkey BLT today on focaccia was brimming with ingredients with nice thick bacon and juicy turkey--tasted great! Next time I'd ask them to double toast the bread but would otherwise change nothing. The fries and onion rings are fabulous-- seasoned (onion rings) perfectly, crispy and generous portion. Also, they seem to be open when lots of other places are closed.

On this somber Memorial day we needed to gather with friends and City Limits Diner was the place to go. I first became aware of City Limits when I saw the documentary of Vogue magazine's, André Leon Alley, who was a frequent customer at City Limits, before the pandemic of 2020 reeled it's ugly head. Somehow I knew, as a newly suburban transplant from Manhattan, it only made sense to visit the place that a worldly Vogue Stylist had dined as my diner destiny! City Limits is one of the most popular diners in Westchester County. You will always feel welcome here, the menu has the usual large array of typical diner menu choices, but with added flair. Every item is good, delicious and fresh. I really like a place that's always full of life, reliably consistent and welcome. Plus it doesn't hurt that a few of my favorite Yelp friends (and RL friends) frequent City Limits as well. :) 5 Easy Stars Thank you!

The chocolate chip pancakes didn't need syrup at all. Portions were good. 5/5 Only thing that didn't go quite as well was the wait time. Waited a long time for the food to come out. Understandable. It was a busy Sunday. When the food came out we were a few minutes into our meal and we ordered another side of eggs. Never came, even after we finished our plates. Ultimately asked to cancel the order, which they thankfully allowed. Keeping the review at a 5 because everything else was good and wait times don't bother me as much, but plan accordingly if you are heading to brunch on a Sunday!

Came on a Saturday and was expecting there to be a long wait, especially when the lobby area had two parties waiting. I was surprised when there were at least 10 empty tables and no one at the host stand. We waited for several minutes to the point I seriously questioned if this was a What Would You Do segment and started looking for John quinones. The party of two in front of us ended up leaving when they were told the wait for 2 was 30 minutes. We decided to wait the 30 minutes, and the party of two who came in after us was told the wait was only 10 minutes. We were seated shortly after. On the menu, there's a note that the Dutch baby takes a longer time to prepare but it came out at the same time as our other food. I was again unpleasantly surprised--the speed came at the price of quality. You can see how fluffy the Dutch baby was in the pic from 12 years ago compared to today's, where it was more of a crepe than a bread "pudding". Still tasted decent after you add the lemon and powdered sugar that they give on the side, but texture was definitely lacking. The side pancakes with our other dishes were a tad salty. We did notice managers walking around, so at least management is aware that there's something they're messing up. Hopefully they figure it out because this used to be a favorite.
