    The glorious breakfast food!
    Eugenio L.

I came into this small intimate mom & pop diner on Shore Road not expecting a whole lot. Damn, was I WRONG! I had the best MexiAmerican taco breakfast dish! It was scrambled eggs, peppers, diced tomatoes onions & jalapeños with 3 flavorful soft flour tacos on the side. With these juicy amazing beans that were wet and a nice mound of yellow rice with a piece of bacon on top! SOOOOO GOOOD! A cup of tea and this brought a delicious breakfast to a close. If your in New Ro, PLEASE do yourself a favor and come to this diner! It's tiny but mighty place to eat!

Exceeded my expectations! I got the New Ro burger with fries. Prompt delivery and very delicious! Give them a try.

Told my server that I didn't like the chicken tenders and that they tasted funny, he told me there was nothing he could do because of my personal opinion.. Tried to show him this and he walked away.. what is this ??

First time ordering from Shore Road Diner, I did a delivery order for dinner. The food was great better than expected actually for diner food! I only wish I had ordered sooner from there, so much to choose from in the menu... so deff will be ordering a lot more to try out the different things! The delivery was fast and the young man was friendly with a smile! Thank you guys so much!

The good omelet, it had veggies and beans and was yummy!

First off, the service is always excellent. The first time we ordered omelets to go, about a a week or two ago, they came out good as well as the fruit and the grits. Their salmon was the bomb and their veggies are fresh. The reason I'm only putting 4 instead of 5 stars is because the second time we got breakfast to go, my omelet was too well done. I had specifically ordered it lightly cooked. Also, the smoothie wasn't worth 5 bucks; it didn't have enough fruit, it was watered down and had still had chunks of ice in it. The side of berries and side of spinach were both really good and fresh. We will still go back but won't be ordering a smoothie there again.

I want to focus on the decorations for a moment. Walking inside you will notice, luxury, elegance, prestige, all of this is represented in the beautiful RED & GOLD color scheme throughout the restaurant. At this point hunger is also stimulated by the rich and beautiful red and gold colors. The bright ceiling with a variety of drum light shades and eglo Pendant shades eluminated throughout the restaurant. I had to pause to take in all of this beauty! The service was prompt and attentive. I appreciate the hostess holding the door for me as I made my way from the beginning of the long handicap accessible ramp to the inside. We were given the command post seating and was able to view the entire restaurant as well as the small dining room that's set apart from the main dining, right next to use. Creating an outside dining effect. The food! I am experimenting with foods at the moment and I try not to get the same thing every time and boy oh boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. I could only gaze and marvel over the presentation of the Basil and Tomato omelette, just shy of being mesmerized. The Basil and Tomato omelette was very delicious, I had to use a butter knife to dismantle this work of art. It deserved to be taken apart delicately. I had rye toast and homefries. I was so ready to fully enjoy the homefries when my waiter told me that onions and peppers came with it. I had one small diced pepper and no onions. My plus one gave me her two chip sized onions. I mixed it with my homefries, added ketchup, and scarfed it down quickly. Pro-Tip..One price for cash and credit. My dining experience was fantastic today. Walking in I was properly greeted and seated immediately. This place looks like a large cafeteria with a lot of windows. The server came over and I requested hot tea with lemon and honey. He came back with all that I asked for except for the main ingredient...The TEA BAG. From that point it just did not feel right, instead of getting up and leaving, I asked for another waiter. Another waiter turned this entire experience around. I ordered a vegetable omelet which came with home fries and toast. I did not like the home fries in the past because they were organic, no fluff, no extra, just straight up cubed potatoes. The changes made this meal well worth the trip. The homes fries have onions and peppers, a big plus for me, so the home fries did not disappoint. The omelet consisted of broccoli, onions, and mushroom. I was offered hot sauce to spruce up the taste and give it a kick. I do believe and always will believe that the server can make or break the experience. I now have BLD on the list of places to go. I saw a waiter bus the table after someone left. They cleaned the tables, chairs, and swept the floor. I find that some places forget to sweep after customers and I hate to step on food so I was glad to see that being done. My server was kind and attentive throughout my visit. I ordered the country skillet with soft scrambled eggs and pancakes. The country skillet is delicious. Crisp home fries, assortment of veggies alongside bite sized pieces of bacon. The eggs were exactly how I like them. Most diners overcook them even when asking for soft scrambled. I would definitely recommend this dish. Unfortunately I didn't like the pancakes. The texture seemed off, almost gritty like and I couldn't get past it. So I took one star off for that. Both dishes were large portions and could be split easily by two people. Overall I would recommend this diner and I plan to come back again.

To start, we shared the crispy brussel sprouts Charleston style. These were delicious with the tangy sauce and large flakes of parmesan cheese. For my main, I had the brunch wrap. It comes with chips, but I swapped for fries for an additional charge. The wrap was a good size; I had half and saved the rest for leftovers. It was tasty, but not a ton of flavor. The tater tots were nice and crispy and I enjoyed the fresh tomatoes and avocado. They gave me a huge portion of crinkle cut fries, which also would've been great with a little more seasoning, but they were good when dipped in mayo. My husband got the shrimp and grits and appreciated the large portion size as well. I had a lemonade to drink. It was refreshing since it wasn't overly sweet. Service was great. Aesthetically, each table feels like a meal at a family dinner table; it's clear that they wanted that vibe to be translated, and it's done quite well. This is also supported by the service being very friendly and helpful in general. To eat, I had the French toast burger with sweet potato fries. Some others with me had various sides like regular fries and tater tots, and the same thing was present on them that tends not to be at most places: they were all perfectly salted/seasoned. It might seem immaterial, but it's a very good signal when something that simple--yet often neglected in favor of just using condiments to mask it--is executed well. If you're a burger place with fries that taste great without the need for a sauce or condiment, you're doing something right. The French toast burger was likewise fantastic, combining sweet and savory in a great way. To drink, we all got a communal pitcher of the only frozie they had available at the time: a kind of jungle juice vodka slushie. It, too, was great--worthy of multiple rounds. All in all, here's a place that I can't wait to give another visit.

On a beautiful afternoon, we decided to grab a table on the patio, and it was the perfect choice. The outdoor seating created a relaxed, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and enjoy brunch. The restaurant itself has a modern, stylish aesthetic that feels elevated without being pretentious. From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional. Our server was attentive, welcoming, and struck that perfect balance of checking in without ever making us feel rushed. Now, let's talk about the food. The Tres Leches French Toast completely exceeded my expectations. I've had plenty of French toast over the years, but this one stood out. It was incredibly soft and fluffy with beautifully crisp edges, creating that perfect contrast in texture. The tres leches flavor was rich enough that it genuinely didn't need syrup--a rare compliment for French toast. Every bite was indulgent without feeling overly sweet. Paired with the perfectly cooked apple-smoked bacon and a bowl of fresh fruit, it was one of the better brunch plates I've had in quite some time. I also ordered the strawberry mimosa, which was bright, refreshing, and not overly sweet. It was the perfect companion to brunch. We couldn't leave without trying the Chicken Burrata Sandwich, and I'm so glad we did. The burrata was fresh and creamy, the chicken was juicy, and the spicy sauce added just enough heat to keep every bite interesting without overpowering the sandwich. Then there was the bun--soft, fresh, and sturdy enough to hold everything together. It tied the entire sandwich together beautifully. The fries deserve their own mention. Golden brown, perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside--exactly how fries should be. Between the beautiful setting, genuinely attentive service, and food that delivered across the board, 179 Bar & Grill earned every one of these five stars. It's the kind of place that's just as good for a casual brunch as it would be for bringing friends or celebrating a special occasion. I'll absolutely be back--and next time, I'm already planning to explore more of the menu.

As for the meats: I've had the fried catfish, catfish bites, beef ribs, fried chicken breast, baked chicken breast, fried chicken wings (BBQ & Jerk), and the salmon, crabcakes, and the ultimate feast.
