Just like Jagjit D. above, and Robert above that, I have received nothing but the runaround from Seven Corners. The operators are polite, but give out inconsistent information all the time about needing additional information and the status of claims. I have been on the phone with them at least 12 times in the past four months--each phone call requires about a 50 minute wait, plus whatever time you spend talking--and am still no closer to getting my claim approved than I was at the beginning. After two months of this, I told one operator to cancel my policy, which she informed me she had, and then was billed again the next month because, apparently, cancellations need to be done in writing. Purchased the Roundtrip policy. Price was good. I had to submit a claim. Told it would take 15 days. I waited three months to get an answer for the claim. Claim was originally declined but was paid out on appeal. The claim explanation for declining the claim was extremely vague. I did not know why the original claim was declined. During the three month process I had called the company a number of times. There were different "reasons" why it was taking so long, i.e.; snow storms, hurricane Sandy, computer glitches, etc. On two occasions I had left a message for a supervisor named Amber Blevins to please call me about this problem but I never had the courtesy of receiving a call back from her. I took a three month trip to Mozambique, Africa. First of all, there was a glitch on the website, so they got my return date wrong. Now, if that wasn't just the beginning of the issues I had, I'd say I could make room for marginal error, even though it was over $200 of my original quote. But, like everyone who uses travel insurance to protect from the unexpected travel events that can take place--I've traveled a fair amount--I purchased a plan with full protection including 'cancelation for any reason.' While in Africa, I had to make a sudden itinerary change that would mean cancelation of 2 flights, and an extension of my trip. I had my mother file the claim, and request for an extension, as well as e-mailing the company (due to my inability to make calls). They kept telling me I needed to call them, mind you, I'm in the bush of Africa so that is a near-impossible request. Later I find out that my plan covered --'cancelation for any reason except yours' apparently. To top it off, there is no extending coverage once your trip has started, and claims must be made before insurance expires. So if you are looking for insurance to protect against the unforeseen circumstances that happen often in travel--DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. Terrible coverage, lack of travel protection, and no ability to alter the plan in the case that your plans change, and false advertisement on their insurance policies. Its the worst of the worst experience getting the seven corners visitor insurance for my parents where i paid $1300 for 6 months and when i filed the claim in 03/2016 and today is 01/2017 still the claim is not successfully processed. Everytime they have some issues like not receiving the doctors files through fax, some technical issues which is causing delay in sending the final report for final review and its almost nearing a year and still no show. They say in in the final review since 11/2016 and we have to wait till the final review is done and they can do nothing. I want to understand does it really takes so long for the complete process?? Beware of Insurance Scams like Seven Corners! I have purchased the Inbound Guest Insurance plan for my dad who came from India to visit me. Unexpectedly, he became sick and got admitted in the ER and he was diagnosed with Acid Reflux in Stomach. The hospital bill came for almost $20,000 which the Insurance has rejected everything stating that it's a pre-existing disease. But, the hospital's record does not categorize it as pre existing one. I followed up with the insurance about this and they were not ready to listen to my statement and they were giving some bullshit explanation asking me to reapply again. This is one of the worst nightmares I've ever gone through where the negligence of an insurance company is explicitly shown. Don't ever opt for this insurance. You have to spend money for the insurance premium(which turned around 500$ for my dad. I have also spent 250$ for my mom and luckily she didn't end up getting a treatment here. Also, my dad has to pay the hospital bill. I am trying to educate as many people as I can about this fake insurance company which really doesn't do any good. I'm really pissed off by the fact that they are holding my dad responsible for paying approximately $20,000. The only mistake he did was to spend quality time with me here for 4.5 months and now he is feeling mentally and physically sick hearing this bill amount. He is already retired for years now and he is quite confused on what to do. I took my her to an urgent care thrice as there was no improvement from the first two visits. Surprisingly the company rejected all the claims stating that it was a pre existing condition. Super bad insurance, they do everything they can not to pay the claims - from saying they never got the required paperwork (even though I sent them through their online claim system and even got email confirming the submission) to saying they were requesting the medical records to the health clinic and never got a feedback. Use an alternative. We had a funeral delay and they did not cover the extra flight change cost since the deceased did not die during the trip, even thought the trip was for a son's the funeral. Just the worst thing of my one year experience in America. Never processed a claim within 3 weeks; the issue about the last claim has been their masterpiece. The first employee that I spoke with (it was October) told me that yes, I was right, the bill was too much compared to the services that I got that day (general visit for a fever status and the prescription for the antibiotic), so she ensured me that the claim would have been processed in 3 weeks. I called after one month and surprise: not only the claim was not processed yet, but they also told me that they didn't get the codes from the hospital in order to process the claim. I got the codes in a couple of hours just using my phone, but Seven corners, of course, told me that they couldn't accept those codes from me. My first question is: how is it possible that I was able to get in few hours what they were not able to get in one month? So the claim was still "in progress". I emailed them again, since I am about to re enter to the States and I don't want issues with the immigration for somebody else's blames. Now it's been four months after I started the claim and surprise again, I get this email: "The claims that have not processed are still waiting for the itemized billing also known as a HCFA we requested this from the medical provider and have yet to receive". Tired of this situation I decide to involve the president of my sponsorship agency, who calls the hospital and he emailed me that they were impatient to talk about this claim since seven corners told them that they had no intention to pay a single dollar. I paid to have no service but just stress and lies. And reading the reviews I am, unfortunately, in good company. If you are not able to do your job, you should change your plans. read more

I really felt so frustrated to have my claim started from Feb till June, but haven't got finished. At first, it told me the claim finished because of lack of medical record. I never get the result through email or mail about lacking of medical record. I waited for a month and then I got another bill statement, then I knew I got nothing claimed, so I called again and finally find it is lack of medical records. Then I uploaded my after visit summary and called, they told me it is good now and I only need to wait for 10 days, and it will email me about the result, whether it is finished or need more information. However, I got nothing. I waited for almost a month and then I called to see they don't accept the after visit summary as my medical records. And I called my clinic to get the medical record, but they told me I should sign and release my medical record from a third party called CIOX. I did but waited for 2 weeks to get it, and they only mail to sevencorners. They mailed it yesterday through USPS, and I called just now to check, the representative Candy really got very impatient to talk with me, what she told me is I should wait for 15 days for the mail, but actually mail will arrive within 3 days. And she told me to wait 30 business days to get it processed from the date they receive my medical records. I asked whether they could make a note to process it faster since I started in Feb and it is your company's responsibility that caused the five months delay since I got nothing through email or mail about the problem of my claim. But she kept saying the 30 days again and again, ignoring whatever I said. I felt disrespected by her and I asked why you gave me different version of the days I need from others? And she kept saying the same sentence and asked any other questions since she is ready to hang off. I asked if it is possible to make a note to speed up or ask American Councils to help make it faster, but she said no. I don't understand why it took 5 months to finish nothing and I got nothing though mail or email which I insist to get information through email! It was a Medical plan J with the pre-existing benefit been selected. (If one is 80 years old everything can be said pre-existing.) We had a strong need to got help from Cardiology Center and from Retina Institute. The providers accepted the Sevencorner's cards after confirmation from Sevencorners. Terrible things started after we submitted the claims. First time it was submitted my e-mail. A month or little more after submission I have found that they have lost it and moreover they do not keep e-mails. Finally I had to submit the claims three times, by email by fax, and by both together. Any time I called to claim office the operator seemed to hear first time about my case, each time a new one. After 6 months consideration they rejected our claims saying that all the conditions are preexisting. I requested to talk to a responsible manager but got an answer that I have to fill out new form if I disagree. I do not recommend this insurance company. I bought a comprehensive medical insurance for in laws travelling to US. My father in law had an emergency room visit resulting in hospitalization. Claims were filed in early Feb. Here are the sequence of events 15 Feb - Received email stating they have received claim.They would need completed proof of loss form and complete copy of passport to process the claim 20 Feb - Submitted completed loss form and passport information as requested 24 Feb - First follow up - Called their claims department to ensure they have everything for process. Was informed that they are awaiting medical records. I was advised to call them after 10 business days 1st March - Second follow up - Spoke to an agent (Rene) and was told they have received bill for ambulance and hospital. Documents are being scanned. They have reached to hospital and nothing is needed from patient's side 9th March - Third follow up - I was told medical records haven't been received yet.I was told this time i have to contact hospital and give them permission to release information. 17th March - Follow up after sending medical records release form to hospital on 14th March. I was told it would take 7 to 10 business days for them to receive and load information into their system. It would then take 21 days to process the claim 15th April - Received notice for ambulance bill stating the claim was denied on 03/31 with reason "Information requested from patient is not provided". I've also received note from hospital that insurance is waiting for information from patient. Please note there have been absolutely no communication whatsoever from Seven corners during this entire process. It's a scam. I am not sure if they are genuinely processing the claims. Absolutely not recommended insurance company to protect your travel. I bought this insurance for my mother's flight. We needed to reschedule her flights due to the medical issues. I filed the first claim in May and the second in June. Only one was paid as apparently I had to repurchase insurance if I cancelled a flight the second time. I should have started that this information was not provided by insurance company when I submitted originally both claims, but they kept asking me to call back many times in the certain amount of business days, then they took a messages on which nobody called back and it all dragged for three months when a not very nice supervisor just cut it off that they would not pay me back a cancellation fee. This supervisor needs to work on a better and more polite customer services, especially as she mentioned to be a trainer for the staff. Reps had a hard time to find your paperwork, even if you receive a confirmation email from the person, not auto reply, they still couldn't find it and I needed to explain what's happened, and resubmit....very exhausting and frustrating experience. read more

Don't buy Seven Corners insurance and don't book with OneTravel. We bought Seven Corners trip insurance as an offer when we booked our plane tickets through OneTravel as we wanted to be covered in case of trip delays or cancellations. One of our flights was indeed delayed several hours and we claimed meals expenses and a "late arrival fee" that the car rental charged us. We made the claim when we got back and surprisingly, it had to be done by phone, leaving a voice message and a recorded message said they'd get back to us in a couple of days. They took a month to get back to us, asking for a ton of documents that we had to print and mail (no online claim system!). Weeks later they sent us a letter saying we were not eligible for a reimburse because our flight had not been delayed long enough. Earlier this year I bought travel insurance from Allianz Global Assistance and they reimbursed me in 48hs for a similar delay problem and they only asked or receipts of the claimed expenses that I sent online. My Experience with Seven Corners. Guys, Just thought of sharing my experience with Seven Corners Medical Insurance and Claims. Its a bit long story but I suggest you read before taking policies from Seven Corners for your parents who is visiting you short term in US. I took an Inbound guest policy from Seven Corners for my parents during their visit to US (the policy was worth $45000). It costed around $410 to buy the policy (for 4 people for 2 months. July 6 2016 to Sep 7 2016). Unfortunately on Sep 02 2016 my father fell down unconscious in the bathroom and his head hit on the tub. Immediately I took him to the hospital emergency. Since he had no medical history and never had any medical issues before, hospital wanted to do some tests and they need to observe him for 24 hrs since he was perfectly alright until that point. So we spend 24 hrs in the hospital under observation and came back home next day. Since seven corners needs us to report the incident within 48 hrs of the incident, I called them on the day my father admitted to hospital on Sep 02 2016. At that time the agent remind me that I have to process the claim within 90 days after reporting the claim. I have given the policy details to the hospital so that they can submit the bills directly to Seven Corners. and I have been calling the hospital from the first week itself to push them to send the bills to Seven corners as soon as possible. As soon as the hospital processed the bills they send it to Seven Corners for claim. The total amount was around $33568. In couple of days I received a rejected notice from Seven corners saying that the claim is denied because they need additional information. Here are the details they asked. 1. Passport copy including entry/exit date stamps to establish eligibility, 2. Patient to submit a complete accidental/illness proof of loss form, 3. Claim pending receipt of medical records from another provider. In general they need passport copy, proof of loss form (which we will get from seven corners) and the medical report from the hospital (detailed medical report on what was done). Then I called hospital and asked them to send the medical report to Seven corners. Also sent the remaining required documents to Seven corners. Then I called seven corners and confirmed that they received all the necessary details. They said the claim would take couple of weeks to verify and process. After couple of weeks I received another Explanation of benefits notice from Seven Corners with details of the claim. Here is how it goes. The total claim amount what the hospital send was $35568. The document what Seven Corners send to me mentioned the total member responsibility was $3507.00 and Amount paid was $1555.00. At first look I thought I just need to pay $3507 as that is the member responsibility shown in the document. But later hospital send me an unpaid bill of around $32013 saying that they just received amount $1555 from insurance and member need to pay the rest. Then we called the insurance and asked why there is a discrepancy in the amounts mentioned in the document and what is mentioned as the member responsibility in the document. They said they made a mistake in the document send to me originally. As per the policy they can pay only a maximum of $1555 for that particular day . That was surprising to me as I was expecting the policy was for $45000 and at least an 80% should have covered by the insurance. Also the Seven corners agent said the policy have a daily limit. For example for Hospital Room & Board Including Laboratory Tests, X-rays, Prescription Medical and other miscellaneous they would only pay $1260 per day and for a maximum of 30 days. That was bit disappointing as our case was an emergency situation. I don't think there is even a good hospital in US that would charge less that $1260 for a 24hr period treatment. The agents will simply say that they cannot do anything, only you will get some sympathy from them. Then to make sure I called one of the sales guy and asked I need an inbound guest policy for my parent but the policy should cover at least 85% of the bill in an emergency situation (I explained the same situation above) then he said there is no policy to cover that much amount. Even though it is marked as as inbound guest policy I don't think it is useful in these type of scenarios and I don't think it is required to take this policy for somebody visiting us. If it a $1000 we could have paid out of our pocket and not necessarily need an insurance and no need to follow the tedious claim process and all. Now I don't know how we are going to pay the $32013, my father cannot pay it, he didn't even have a job. Also I cannot pay this amount even with my one year salary :-( !!! So guys if you are looking for a policy for your parents visiting you in US please please Please don't go for Seven Corners. I don't think there is a policy which is useful for us. read more

I have nothing good to say about this company. I had never traveled with EF tours and when I did entrusted that the Insurance was optimal, but I was completely wrong. I had a knee that had been scoped in the past. I was doing well so when my son and husband decide to go to Ireland I decided to go. Who wouldn't want to go to Ireland as a family. Orthopedic doctor said I should be fine. Contacted Seven Corners and spoke with a representative asking about the trip she told me that although it was a lot of walking there would be ample time for resting. So, I continued to pay and plan for the trip. Well, suddenly I developed worsening knee pain that limited my ability to walk. I had x-ray and ultrasound, medications, and PT in hopes I could still go on the trip. My leg got weaker and unable to support my weight. I finally gave up and filed a claim. It took me days to reach anyone either by email and or phone call. On hold for hours waiting to speak to someone. Numerous emails sent without any responses. I do not know how many times my claim paperwork was lost-"never received it". I finally called for a decision told it would be done-no response. Called back-again it would be done soon-no response. Oh, then finally en email with an embedded document my appeal was denied. Interestingly enough, the letter did not have my name on it and or even EF tours. I tried to contact them regarding this and all I got was to file the appeal letter because of a pre-existing condition. This company is untrustworthy. It's only goal is to steal money from customers. I hate the fact that EF tours which was used through my son's school is attached to these people. I am not giving up on getting my money from them. I have contacted a lawyer who is putting our case together. I will not stop. I will get my tour money and lawyer fees by time I am done. The letter they sent me with the wrong name and even the wrong company I was enrolled with should be enough to show that Seven Corners is a total rip off and scam company. I have also contacted the Better Business Burearu. I warn anyone who has even a cough or creek in your knee to not enroll in any tours involving Seven Courners-EVERYTHING is pre-existing to them. read more

My family and I had to cancel a trip that we had planned for months. We had to file a claim through Seven Corners and the claim was handled great! The forms were easy to fill out and not time consuming. The customer service reps that I had to speak with were very helpful and lead me every step of the way. The claim was paid quickly. My wife became sick on a trip to Africa and had to be hospitalized while connecting in Amsterdam. After submitting all information, the Seven Corners claims department did not respond about the status of our claim for over 6 months (the contract says claims will be paid within 60 days of providing proof of loss). Each time we called, they said they'd have an answer for us in a few days or one more week, and each time no one got back to us. Finally six months later they send us a check for part of the claim but refuse to pay for the unused flights without any explanation. Terrible company--do not use it or any of its affiliates (our coverage was through Tin Leg, bought over the Squaremouth website). Note that Squaremouth maintains its own review site, but only allows reviews within 5 days of returning from the trip. But how would I know by then whether the company would fail to respond at all to my claim? Ridiculous. read more

I've had 7 Corners for 3 years and they've paid my claims until this year when they started piling up. I'm realizing now that I've had the wool pulled over my eyes by them several times. I used to wonder what these mysterious medical records were when they would say "We just received the medical records" 3 months after the procedure. I thought my primary physician was delaying sending them things. After having this happen many times, I realize now there never was any delay and there weren't any medical records they were waiting on. This is just a stalling tactic they tell everyone and I see I'm not the only one victimized by it. I'm waiting 6 months now on payment for basic office visits and procedures and they are giving me the same lines. They keep moving the date back. "We just received the medical records on Feb. 12th...We were waiting on medical records from your doctor and they were submitted on March 15th...we only received the claim on April 4th..." It only words so many times before you realize it's all lies. read more

I had a visitor recently a family friend from Macedonia who unfortunately had to use the ER on her trip. We had purchased the insurance for her so she would be safe while staying with us. She was hit with a $5000 bill from the hospital excluding the other bills which are still coming and the insurance denied coverage due to them exceeding maximum allowed. I purchased 80/20 coverage with maximum allowed up to $85000 she was having heart-attack symptoms which thankfully was not a heart attack and just hypertension. This insurance is bogus, please save your money and go elsewhere. They expect me to pay over $5000 of bills and that is the reason I decided to purchase insurance to begin with so we would be safe and not have to be stuck with her bills. I have yet to receive word on them further and explain themselves. I spoke to their operator and she confirmed I had 80/20 coverage for emergency services this is BOGUS, a SCAM!!! Buyer beware! I have used Seven Corners travel insurance a number of times but this year was the first time I had ever had to make a claim. In April I broke my wrist while on vacaation in NZ. Fortunately all of the medical costs were covered by NZ's excellent public health care system, but I did make a claim for about $1K of trip interruption costs due to needing to have surgery on my wrist. I provided all of the documentation to Seven Corners that was originally requested. Then, after a significant wait, I was asked to provide essentially the same two pieces of information but in a different form. It was backup that was almost impossible for me to get from the hospital and the airline. After much anger and frustration during what was already a difficult time, I walked away from the claim. I have made other claims on other insurances over the years and have never been treated like this. I will never ever use Seven Corners again and will be making sure that I am insured with a reputable broker for my next trip even if it does cost more money. read more
