went in last week, THOROUGHLY disappointing. i have been around the restaurant business quite a bit so i'm very understanding and don't write bad reviews but felt like it was necessary. Went several times and was told it was over an hour wait so finally decided to download this app since it's the only way to get in line ahead of time got there at my specified time and still had a wait a little bit. The four of us ordered breakfast (mostly just pancakes) and waited about 45 minutes for our food which wasn't anything to write home about. To top it off it was extremely expensive. I wasn't a fan of this place after my first visit based on my meal and bill I got for a family of four. I did not feel warranted then to give any feedback especially negative. Today, my wife wanted to try the cafe again for an early Mother's Day brunch. We walked in at 2:10 and there were three girls sitting at the hostess station and almost in unison they said they had stopped serving. My wife nicely said that it wasn't 2:30 yet and the girls looked at her with an expression of indifference. We sat down at a table anyways and realized after ten minutes, no one was intending to serve us. Instead of making a scene, we politely left to the girls' disingenuous "thank you!" Being a small business owner myself, I recognize that these are pivotal points for businesses where an employee's attitude toward a new customer can make or break a new relationship. In this case, the employees there failed at doing so and I probably will never return. read more

They were happy to make me some vegan street tacos with tofu, vegan chorizo, and potatoes (not quite on the menu). Ok management - If you're going to have a really nifty interior, charge the nifty prices to go with the higher end food, then you must have the service to back it up. Our server (the girl with the shaved dark hair and the piercings), although nice, was pretty much non-existent. She should have done the basic clearing of the plates at the end of the meal, but she did not. And we had a lingering fly that would have gone away if she had. Even after we paid the bill, she still had not. Even when we were walking out of the restaurant after having gone to the restroom, our dirty dishes were STILL on the table. On the way to the restroom, I saw about 5 waiters back in the extra tiny dining room that they obviously use as their break room. I was most discouraged to find a dirty restroom in such a cute restaurant with hip décor. Laziness on the part of the staff. One of those waiters goofing off in that side room could have been put on restroom duty to pick up all the paper that was strewn all over the restroom floor. Come on management - step up. You have a nice place, but your employees are totally lazy and not stepping up and taking pride. Maybe because you are not? Where were you? Not overseeing them, obviously. read more

After an additional 30 minutes of waiting, they brought out our very cold food. They took so long to bring out the food that my 2 year old no longer wanted breakfast since is was almost 1pm. My wife and I ate here once before, the portions were large, hot and good. So we came back and ordered three breakfast tacos to split, and the cheesy hashbrown casserole. The food was just a little more than warm, and frankly not much taste. The real shocker was the bill, $27 for three tacos and one hashbrown, plus one hot green tea, plus $2 each for the meats in the tacos. The place was not exceptionally crowderd, so no excuse for not being hot. The waitress told us it would be cheaper to order the breakfast taco meal, I shudder to think of the price without her offer. read more

I came in alone and was immediately greeted at door. I sat at birista counter, and again greeted fast with water. I ordered a regular latte that was delicious and beautiful to match. I'm very particular when it comes to eggs Benedict, but was outstanding. I like the fact the serve the hollandaise on the side so it's not drenched or soggy. I also wanted to try their biscuits and gravy, so I ordered a side. Gravy was great and biscuits to match. Very happy! I also decided to order my wife some food Togo, (she is eating clean) and they had great healthy options. I got a sake bloody Mary while I waited for food, also very good. I like it a little more spicy, but that's just me. My only complaint is the parking, but it under construction and will be great when finished. Go check this little gem out, it's wonderful. Definitely the best place for breakfast and lunch in or near the Keller area! With a menu deep in creative entries, Seven Mile Cafe is truly outstanding. It's can be difficult to find the entrance during the construction of the Old Town expansion project, with parking and entry located in the rear by the railroad tracks, but worth the trouble. read more

Seven Mile was fine. Food was decent but pretty pricey for what it was. If you're looking for great diner food I'd suggest Joe's coffee shop in Watauga. If you want IHOP-style food but better, this is it. But I'd suggest the IHOP atmosphere might be slightly better.
