We (4 people) got here at 10am on the Friday after Christmas and it was packed, however, the front host/hostess stand was able to seat us right away. Every member on the floor was very pleasant, looked clean and they were professional and very diverse culturally- which always makes us hopeful for a good experience. They had a ton of team members working that supported each other covering multiple tables in a group service fashion. The food options were vast, which normally makes me hesitant- since very few places make a lot consistently excellent. However, I got exactly what I wanted when I ordered and all of the food that came out looked fresh, tasted fresh and was cooked accurate to the order. Everyone at the table was pleased. I only give this a 4 star because of our server. While Hilda was very sweet, she also seemed a bit forgetful. We had pork bacon delivered to one of our diners that requested turkey bacon, she never brought syrup for any of the pancakes, did not top off the water or beverages (just the cups given before we ordered food) and when more water was requested, only gave water to one of the four requesting it. Syrup was provided when we walked up and asked the host/hostess stand representatives- expeditiously. Our server disappeared for a good while (over 20 minutes) after the first delivery of food and didn't come back until after our missing items were able to be located by other servers we flagged down that helped us promptly. I wish I had gotten their names because the 3 gentleman that helped us between checking for items with the barista, grabbing food and syrup from the back and following up with us were A-1! When our server reappeared, she seemed a little flustered. We figured she may have been dealing with some personal matters and hope everything is okay. We tipped generously and in cash (taxation is theft), because aside from her aloof demeanor, the experience as a whole was pretty great. We will definitely be back! Sadly, when you don't have the right people in management, it makes everything worse for everyone. Sitting time 11:00 am, no waiting. 50 minutes later, the food arrives. You have people sitting with the drink leaving due to the waiting time being crazy. The kitchen is backed up, the restaurant is full. But the tables from the people who left without eating get filled right away. Why? Why do you keep taking tables just to have them wait for the food 45 to 1 hour? STOP taking tables! Tell them 20-minute waiting time for breakfast on Sunday is normal nowadays. GIVE YOUR KITCHEN A BREAK!! It's crazy! The food wasn't good at all because the kitchen was in panic mode!! It's insanity! My first visit was for breakfast with a good friend. I was immediately impressed by the bright, open and spacious layout! My friend and I were immediately seated and our server, Katelyn, was friendly and attentive from the moment we sat down until we were finished. My friend had the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and I had the Garden Scramble which included hash browns and my choice of a sweet. The scramble was tasty and filled with vegetables. Very very mid experience here at this location. I ordered a dirty chai tea latte with coconut milk; it came out watery and pretty sure there was no espresso. I kindly asked the server for it to be remade, and they did but it just came out the same. Pretty sure who ever was making drinks just didn't know what it was? Idk. Then our food comes out. I ordered "the usual": eggs, hash browns, French toast. The server asked if I wanted the hash browns crispy. They came out like chips. It was weird. Maybe that's my fault. This place was great. They have a lot of Vegan options and I saw some gluten free items as well. I was excited to find a menu with several different egg Benedict's so close to me. I believe the one I ordered was the California Benedict. It had bacon, avocado, tomato on it. It was delicious! The portions were substantial for a great price. I really liked the hash browns as well. They gave you quite a bit of them as well. I tried the French Mimosa. It was great. That was kind of pricey though at $12. The food was well priced though. Service was great as well. I cannot recall our servers name but he did an excellent job checking in and getting our orders correct. The drinks took a little long but he checked in to keep us updated on the status which I appreciated. This was very much an unexpected place to go. Me and my friends and I thought it was going to be great, but it wasn't. When we got seated, the couple that was at a table across from us started talking to us. Their first question was had we been there before which the answer was no. They let us know they are very expensive and the food for the high price was just ok. The waiter came to us and asked what drinks we wanted. I love pumpkin spice, I had their pumpkin spice small menu card in my hand and I pointed at the Spiked Nola on that card as to what I wanted. When he brought the drinks to us I tasted it and it didn't taste like pumpkin spice and it didn't have the whipped cream and cinnamon on top. I told the waiter that it wasn't the pumpkin spice. He said "well you ordered the plan spiked Nola not the pumpkin spice one. I said I showed you the spiked Nola on the pumpkin spice card, he then said well you have to ask for pumpkin spice. That really disappointed me because first I didn't know they had a regular spiked Nola and second I showed him the spiked Nola that was on the pumpkin spice card. Honestly, he should have apologized and brought me the pumpkin spice spiked Nola. Instead, he left or table and started taking the order from another table of a two guthat just came in. I decided that I was not going to eat there due to the unprofessional behavior. My friend told me to speak to a manager. I did that, and then everything started going well as she was our waiter. I ordered the scramble egg that has 3 cage eggs for $14, and I thought you could add the items to it without an extra cost. I added spinach, mushroom, cheese, and avocado and a side of bacon. My bill was $48 again. I didn't know there was a cost for everything added to the scramble eggs. I will say thank you to the manager that kindly served us. The gaudo grits were really good. I've been to the Lewisville location, and this one is just as comparable in every way. I can't get over the vast amount of vegan options. Vegan friends of the group, you won't feel left out at all. I got the vegan migas. They were so good, I just ate them straight up without the tortillas and it was very filling. I can only imagine how stuffed I'd be if I had eaten the tortillas. The cold brew was refreshingly delicious as well. It was smooth with hints of chocolate and nutty, just like a good cold brew should be. The vegan pancake was again, exquisite! The berry sauce was sweet and tart and it coated the pancake so well that the additional syrup wasn't needed. Service was excellent. Very pleased with the amount of vegan options on the menu! I tried the French toast with berries and scrambled just eggs, they both were hot and delicious. I drank the mimosa, it was tasty but I liked the Guinness beer with expresso better. My husband had an omelette with hash browns and toast along with a Bloody Mary to drink. We were both completely satisfied with our meals and agreed we'd be back. It's a casual atmosphere, the staff were friendly and accommodating. There's inside and outside seating. The food is mostly good but my one complaint is that you should never send an Eggs Benedict out with the English muffin being toasted crisp. The soft warm muffin is a terrible thing. My daughter had a waffle and poached eggs, the waffle was cold, so they took it back to warm it, then her eggs got cold waiting, she let that slide. I ordered a capitola egg scramble, tons of food but it was quite heavy and oily. I also ordered a Hawaiian mimosa, it was very bitter. I may try the one in Lewisville to see if it's better. I'll most likely try them again but I definitely will order something different! We were just trying to find a nice place to brunch. We will continue our search! we've been to 7 mile before, and to different locations, we were here last year and the food was great and service was even better. This year we had a large party of 17 - they dont take large party reservations and they also only accept waitlist joins up to 8 - I tried to call ahead - no answer, at all, on any attempt to call them during working hours. Enjoyable brunch experience! Their menu has a selection of Breakfast Tacos, Egg Scrambles, and a variety of Egg Benedict dishes. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options as well! Most dishes offer the bread substitute for $1-2 charge, which is worth it. That way you get to still enjoy the delicious choice. In my case, I just switched out the English muffin to a gluten free toast for my egg benedicts. Their coffee selection is diverse as well, offering many milk substitutions as well. Unfortunately, due to how busy it was, we received our lattes almost cold so we didn't enjoy them as much. The pancakes/waffles/French toast are ridiculously sweetened with excessive amounts of syrup/cream, I recommend requesting for them to go light on the sugar. It's a huge pancake for $7.50, but I don't agree with the price.. With those tips in mind, I do hope to come back!
