I had to remove my simple stud and ring jewelry, I'd had them for 40+ years since the punk rock days, prior to a surgery. After not reinstalling my jewelry for 6+ weeks due to lack of anyone to assist me the holes covered over (slightly) with new skin. Kala said to just come in, no appointment necessary. I went in and he was VERY nice and professional. Kala told me my jewelry was "costume" and that I should replace them with professional titanium versions. I didn't mind paying for new jewelry, I was tired of how hard it was to remove and reinstall the old ones. He fixed me up in no time, for a very low price, for jewelry and service. I cannot recommend a better shop in Las Vegas.

Main reason I will always go to Kala is how sterile he is when piercing. He washed his hands and put new gloves on at least 5x while prepping my vertical labret. He sterilizes jewelry right in front of you using an autoclave. Also, he is very upfront when it comes to his professional opinion if the piercing is possible and/or if it would look nice with your anatomy. After Kala left Hawaii, I made the mistake of getting an Ashley piercing by another piercer in Hilo & just wow, worst experience ever. My bruising was sooooooo bad, Never again! His communication was respectful, professional, and reassuring from the very beginning. When I showed up (even though I was a little late), Gabriel was nothing but welcoming and understanding. He already had several tattoo options printed out in different sizes so I could physically see how each one would look on my arm, which made the decision so much easier and showed how prepared and thoughtful he was. Throughout the whole process, he made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident -- which is something I've honestly never felt in a tattoo shop before. The person ended up recommending EMO for scheduling with more slots opened. I was hesitant, but they told me "he's good with piercings" so I was like ok bet but they were lying through their teeth. The person tells me to come at apt time and so I did. As I'm waiting Emo states "is anyone else here for emo?" As the night was pretty late and I stood up. He instantly starts w an attitude about "I've been calling you up for a while now" As he's walking me back even though the timing was right at the time of appointment??? besides his attitude, he pierced my flat with no issues. He recommended to clean 3x a day which I eventually learned isn't recommended. The biggest issue here was the quality of jewelry. I can't complain too much because it was indeed a sale, but it's just fcked up how the size of jewelry contributes to my flat getting irritated with a big bump from how tiny the jewelry is. No warning to upgrade to a different one nor did I get a selection to pick the jewelry. Eventually I went to better professionals and they educated me about the bump + what jewelry is better to flatten the bump out + proper cleaning. They taught me how I shouldn't clean it more than needed, due to the climate of living in the desert.
