I had a great experience at Primitive Body Piercing in Las Vegas :) As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed by a friendly staff member at the front counter. The shop has SO many beautiful pieces of jewelry, it was hard not to want multiple pieces. The receptionist was super helpful while I looked around, showing me different jewelry options and explaining the pricing. I originally came in because my nose ring had fallen out and I couldn't find the post. Thankfully I still had the jewelry piece itself (it's my favorite nose ring), so I brought it with me. Tony, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He was able to put my nose ring back in and added a new post for me. The post was $15, which seems reasonable. Even though I got my favorite piece fixed, I want a new nose ring soon because Primitive has sooo many gorgeous jewelry options. I'll definitely be coming back once I save up for a piece! Even though I've had i this piercing for years it would most definitely be closed by the time I made it home. Terrible communication from the shop. Drove 30 min to get my teenage daughter's nose pierced for her birthday and upon arriving was asked for a birth certificate. Not only did they not disclose this info on the phone when we called but it was also not listed on their site either. Also called the shop 30x before anyone answered. 0/10 stars. Tony asked us to wait until staff came & even let us come in to sit before he opened for the day. i got a Daith & cartilage piercing at the upper part of each ear. Tony is very high energy/fast moving so i had the nice young lady up front walk us through some details. So I had a little piercing emergency and my usual piercer wasn't available today. For reference I have been with my og piercer for 5+ years w more than 12 different piercings done by him, so I very rarely wander away from home. But Recently got a fresh high nostril piercing, and jewelry started to embed a little. Found them on here with glowing reviews, so came in. Solidly some very helpful and honest piercers! I saw some reviews that were talking about Tom, and I think it's just some people are used to customer service looking a certain way. Tom was helpful, knowledgeable, and very honest about the condition of my piercing and what it might be. This was a few years back, but I came in on a recommendation from a friend who already had snake bite piercings and somehow got it stuck on each other, so she got helped here with it. But when I came in to get a daith piercing, although I don't remember how much he charged me, I do remember it was pretty expensive (for my class level, or as my roommate phrases it, being "in-between wealth,"). And as I was lying there as still as possible, the dude slipped... Making it more painful than it would have been. I appreciated that he discounted the aftercare, but damn... It was hard to walk because of the amount of pain I was in. And because the adrenaline from the pain wore off while I was in the care, my eyes started tearing up in reaction to the pain. I was over here, comically like, "Am I one of the coolest kids now?" But anyways... I'm sure it happens. I just haven't come back here (unintentional). But looking back at it now (reason I decided to write this review), yeah... Sorry, but I'm not coming back. I'm more glad that my friend got helped when she needed it (this wasn't her go-to either, she wasn't local so this was all unprecedented). Otherwise. For those of you willing to give this place a chance, good luck. Piercings should be quick and clean. Like the needle shouldn't even touch the client unless it's moving through. Accompanied my love to get her ears pierced tonight. We originally went to a different tattoo/piercing parlor who unfortunately was unable to accommodate us due to their piercer leaving early. Instead of leaving empty-handed the tattoo artist recommended Primitive Access Body Piercing, which we were highly appreciative of. It took us about 20 minutes to get there from our previous location and the second we entered the establishment we were immediately greeted by this super friendly/nice girl whose name I did not catch. But what I do know is that she was very knowledgeable in her craft and was able to answer any and all questions that we had. We were then instructed to have a seat because it would be a small wait, which turned out to be around only five minutes. The gentleman who did the piercing then directed us to the back room where the piercings take place. His name was Tony and he was funny, extremely professional with great bedside manner and made the entire experience as pleasant and painless as humanly possible. Tonight was my second visit here, the first visit was amazing impeccable service from the sweet girl at the front to Sarafina the piercer. Sadly tonight left me unhappy to say the least. Tony was the guy who pierced me, and he didn't even let me see where he marked the piercing he just did it without me even being able to agree with the placement (maybe he was in a rush for some reason). Once he pierced it he had me go take a look and instantly my response was "well this isn't where I wanted it but ok it is what it is now" and his response was "it wouldn't have looked good any higher". I came in for a mid helix piercing (which is the piercing I paid for) wanting for it to be just above the mid part of my ear where my tragus is pierced and he pierced my upper lobe right above my 3rd hole. He didn't even clean it up after, I had to ask him if he could remove all of the marks he made (that he didn't even let me see before actually piercing). At this point I'm just going to take it out and come back to have Sarafina re pierce it. This experience really turned my view on this place sour. If you are coming here for a piercing I HIGHLY recommend only getting it done if Sarafina is doing it. Adding a picture of the piercing below you can see the placement of the mini chevron gold earring. You can see the 3 marks he made on my lobe. You can also see that if I were to put my 3rd hole jewelry in it would be super close to the 4th one and not spaced correctly. I will be taking this out sad waste of money. I also added a picture with the area of placement I wanted the piercing. *Editing my review to 1 star after the response and direct message I got from the owner (who was actually the guy that pierced me).
