Very poor experience with Seven Seas Worldwide, I would not use them again. My MoveCube delivery was originally scheduled for Monday 22nd, but just a few days beforehand I was told they could no longer honour that date. I agreed to reschedule, which was already inconvenient, but things only got worse from there. I then received three different delivery time slots for the same day. Every single one passed with no delivery and no explanation. I called customer service twice to try and get an update. Both times I was told someone would contact the US team and call me back. Neither callback ever happened. At this point, I've had: A cancelled delivery date Conflicting information Missed delivery windows No proactive communication No follow-up despite being promised it And I still have no idea where my shipment is or when it will arrive. This has been a complete waste of time and incredibly frustrating to deal with. For a company that specialises in international moves, the lack of coordination and basic customer communication is unacceptable. I will be pursuing partial reimbursement given the disruption caused. We have moved between countries multiple times and most moving companies do a great job of "selling" their services without really sharing any hidden costs. Seven seas does a great job of sharing EXACTLY what they charge for. The best part of their services is the size of the "cubes" they offer. They sent you templates and all the essentials to remove any guess work around: "do i have too much", "will they charge me for this extra box", "will my bike fit in the cube", etc. You have the exact dimensions from the get go. Their customer service is also very responsive, and knowledgeable. The ability to use their portal, really helps with any guess work or back and forth on paperwork, insurance, etc. Its all self service and easy to use. The only issue was with the pick up of the goods from our pick up address. The driver wasn't willing to help move boxes from the garage to the truck (15ft away). My parents (in their 80's) had to tip the driver for him to help. He basically sat in the truck until he got tipped and even then, my dad loaded the boxes onto the trolley, and the driver with the help of my 82 year old Dad put them in the cube. read more

It was very easy to get a quote from Seven Seas, and the pricing was easy to understand. The additional cost of insurance and customs clearance was spelled out. They eased the stress of an international move by providing boxes and some packing material. Whenever I had questions, the staff were helpful. I did find it was easier to reach help when I called during Asia/Europe business hours. When I called during American business hours, it could take an hour to reach someone. Keep in mind that you can't update certain information, such as your delivery address or visa information (if you haven't received your visa yet at the time of pickup), so you have to call them to update the information. They also warned me that there was a delay in shipping globally, so I was mentally prepared for the 3.5 months timeframe. There were a couple of glitches. On the delivery date of empty boxes to the origination, the delivery partner, UPS, didn't show up. I had to call to reschedule. I'm glad I left a big buffer so it wasn't the day before our departure. On the day of boxes pickup, UPS showed up as scheduled. We needed to bring the boxes to the truck as expected, and the driver loaded the boxes into the truck. The day I was notified via email that our boxes had arrived at the receiving port, I called right away to schedule delivery. I had the person repeat my delivery address to confirm it was all set. I didn't receive any confirmation email but thought that was normal. When I didn't get a call about the delivery window the day before the scheduled delivery, I called Seven Seas again. To my horror, there was no entry for my delivery. The rep this time took my information again, and scheduled for a new date. This time I received a confirmation email. The delivery team called me 10 minutes before their arrival, as I requested. The two guys were very nice and helped bring the boxes all the way up to our apartment door. All contents of the boxes were well preserved even though one box was a little beaten up. Overall, we had a good experience. read more

Companies that implement rules wrong are going to get the blame. I had to pay a customs bill in order to get my stuff delivered. It is getting delivered today so I may update this related to whether everything was actually delivered or there is a problem with that too. No update means I received everything I sent. The description on the bill acknowledges these are personal effects and paperwork submitted to Seven Seas told them this was stuff I purchased in the US and am bringing home. How this generates a customs bill is beyond me but it did. I also had some stuff in my luggage that I purchased overseas but this description appears not to be on any of the customs bill paperwork. In addition DHL bill is calculated wrong and they say they can't look at the bill until 7 days after the package is delivered. DHL holds my stuff hostage so I have to pay to get it delivered - DHL or Seven Seas fault or improperly documented bill? Your guess is as good as mine. I want my stuff so I pay - simple. I used Seven Seas to ship it so they get the blame regardless of who is actually at fault because Seven Seas controls the whole process. If they lay the blame off on customs - potentially acceptable but not if they lay it off on DHL because DHL was hired by them. The fact that people are nice as they are unable/unwilling to help me is beside the point. I notice that the owner appears to respond to these complaints in this forum so I am posting it and will update this if my issue is resolved within Yelp's time limits. If the review is still here after 30 days, it is because I got screwed... Not completely unexpected when shipping stuff overseas and dealing with customs, but since it is between two first world countries, a bit disappointing to say the least. A simple bill adjustment (and getting all my stuff delivered) will make things right but wasting $200 of my time to get back $30 does not leave a good taste in my mouth. The U.S.-side service and initial communication were good, but everything fell apart at the destination. I paid for what I expected to be a smooth, end-to-end service. Instead, I was told multiple times that home delivery was "impossible," only to have it arranged within 24 hours once we finally reached the right person. So clearly it was possible. I also had to pay unexpected additional fees twice, including depot-to-delivery charges, and spent far too much time waiting on hold and having frustrating calls with the call center. Regardless of whether the issue was with a local partner, I contracted with SevenSeas and expected a coordinated, transparent experience. I recently used Seven Seas to move two boxes of personal belongings from the United States to New Zealand. Going into the move, I faced trepidation that my belongings would be lost, stolen or damaged during shipment. To my relief, all aspects of the shipment went smoothly, and there were no unexpected surprises. There was a bit of minor, superficial damage to the boxes, but nothing egregious. The contents were fine. (I wrapped the fragile items in bubble wrap.) The charges, including New Zealand customs inspection charges, turned out to exactly what Seven stated they would be when they provided me with the quote. The boxes arrived in New Zealand about three months after I shipped them, as Seven Seas estimated they would. I strongly recommend this service. By the way, if you are shipping from the United States and don't want to wait around for the entirety of the rather long collection window for UPS to pick up your boxes at your home, you can take them yourself, at a time of your choosing, to a local UPS Store. You just have to let Seven Seas's customer service team know in advance that you wish to do this. This is what I did, so I didn't have to sit around my home for hours waiting for a UPS driver to arrive. The customer support staff were quite responsive and helpful to me. I called them about five or six times before and during the move, and I never experienced a significant wait to talk to someone. Seven Seas's website includes a tracker function that allows you to see exactly where the ship containing your boxes is. It also includes a log that registers the scans of your boxes at transshipment points along the route. This alleviated much of my worry. Again, I was very pleased with this service. read more

The initial part went well - the boxes showed up on time and were picked up on time. Three and a half months later they arrived in New York and I promptly paid the arrival charges. I called to schedule end delivery and was told it would be a month later due to delays on their end. And then I was charged a storage fee as an "avoidable charge" because they sat in New York due to their own inability to deliver them to the final destination. absolute con men. the only thing they do properly is hit you with problems. additional charges for everything that is not mentioned on their own website. admin that nit pick through your inventory looking to slow things down. out of date or even non-existent rules concerning prohibited items. inconsistent information depending on which department you speak to....but the best one of the lot is the way they hold you to ransom knowing they have got hold of your possessions and you either pay or think sod it and leave it and then one of their shifty guys is probably selling it it on ebay within a month. my advice is: do not trust these people. it is too good to be true what they offer. I thought all shipping options may not be great to begin with, but with Seven Seas not even honoring the insurance to pay for the damages, this represents a new low. My order / route: Shipped personal articles from Asia to USA for family relocation - INSURANCE: even PREMIUM insurance option does NOT actually pay for the damages unless Seven Seas are shown clear damages to the outer boxes, even when all boxes are marked FRAGILE but was clearly thrown around causing said damages. I wrapped a wooden box with a blanket and packing materials to put inside the cardboard shipping box, and the wooden box inside still fell apart, and they won't pay for this. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: Should not provide Premium Insurance as an option if it's not Premium. - DEALING WITH DAMAGES: somewhat expected with so many different handlers in between, boxes aren't handled with care and we ended up with some broken glasses etc. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: Seven Seas should select intermediaries more carefully. - SHIPPING TIME: more than DOUBLED TRANSIT TIME, with the quotation states 37-45 days for transit, when in reality exactly 80 calendar days from pickup date to delivery of all boxes; that's over 200% margin of error. Before I selected Seven Seas I asked them twice how good is the 37-45 days estimate and whether that means I should get the boxes by certain date range on the calendar, and they would say yes; with my actual experience now, I find that to be a gross misrepresentation. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: Give honest representation of shipping time. - COMMUNICATIONS (or general lack of): yes, there are system email updates, but I still had to chase multiple times for whenever the process is "stuck", such as when the shipments are on the vessel but missed they estimated arrival date, they only replied me after I emailed them TWICE. Seven Seas did not even provide tracking for UPS (last mile delivery) until after UPS had already showed up to deliver the first batch of boxes. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: Train your agents to be proactive in communications especially when there are missed deadlines, and incorporate needed tracking numbers such as UPS into your system. - SHIPPING FORMS: the red flag that came too late for me, as they contacted me four separate times in the span of over a week, to tell me I had to make various changes to the insurance form that weren't indicated on their instructions. (and of course they say this caused more delays even though it's their issue) Had there been a person or team that actually reviewed documents competently in one sitting, there would be no need to contact me four separate times for all the changes on one single form. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: Train your team to review with a simple form with care and provide timely updates. - SELF PACKING: for similar pricing, other companies send their teams to do the packing. I selected Seven Seas because I thought they would ship faster. They did NOT even provide enough bubble wrap to protect all the fragile goods, and asked me to purchased more on my own (which I'm glad I did), since at least my heavily wrapped dinnerware sets are in one piece. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: Customers are shipping things they care about (otherwise why ship them) so Seven Seas should care about packing and shipping too, to provide enough packing material like bubble wrap. - CALL CENTER: Most of the call center agents in the Asia time-zone who handled my order are well-trained and friendly, despite it was them who provided the misrepresentation of the shipping time. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: Either build the internal processes to be more understandable to your agents or train them to be honest about estimates, as to not misrepresent what your service can actually deliver. read more

I am currently having a nightmarish experience with this company. After placing an order with them where they collected several boxes, after giving me a quote on this order and instructions on how to collect it from the destination country (China), I was told that it cannot be processed due to the Chinese law of a "50 book limit" (they figured this out only after I mentioned it in passing -- they never felt the need to inform me about this accepting an order of 3 boxes of weight of 30kgs each, or after collecting them along with 4 more book boxes where the employee could clearly see the contents of the boxes). Then the only way to proceed would be to have my stuff returned to me and make a new order. But now in order to return my stuff to me they ask for ~1100$!!! Note that the original quote to send everything to China was for less than that. They haven't provided me any service, they messed up the details of my order several times, it even took them forever to process it electronically, and now they are asking for an outrageous fee in order to just give me my stuff back. They know that I have to leave the US in a few weeks and I am at a very vulnerable position. Moreover, they refuse to answer anything physically about challenging their fees, you can only talk to an employee who will tell you to send an email that will be reviewed by a relevant "team". Meanwhile, I FedExed masks to relatives multiple times. So whose rule is this? They wouldn't say. But they did charge my a large 1050HKD fee. This on top of numerous other hidden fees. Moving on when my goods did arrive they were carelessly thrown downstairs and most definitely not door to door. Look how many times on their site they say door to door. They also claim all over the site they use their own network all the way. they also make this claim when you re on hold. Which you will be many times I assure you waiting to find out where your goods are. So they DO NOT use their own network. They use UPS. SO what is the point? Why pay this premium for them to use UPS? The kicker is their sarcastic customer service rep who after numerous emails will finally get back to you and sarcastically claim that they deeply regret how wrong I was and should have dug through their pages of terms and exceptions. I was informed after almost 3 months after our shipment 000/465/944 from San Francisco to Malaysia, that all 5 boxes have been lost due to a fire on the ship. I was refunded the Destination Charges and a partial of Delivery Full Fees, which is 184.93 of 1006.24 that I paid, or 18%. I understand nobody anticipate the fire, but I don't understand why I it's not a full refund. As a customer, I paid seven seas to move my boxes from US to Malaysia, obviously this failed, why I still need to pay for a service that failed to do the job and caused thousands USD loss including some items of commemorative value and lots inconvenience? I would give a 0 if I could. The company admitted that my package was damaged but did not mention this until I contacted them about missing items. I wonder if they would have said something if I never contacted them... About the missing items - the company will not provide explanation of what happened and are claiming the type of insurance I purchased is insufficient because I did not upgrade (although I thought I did and that is why I upgraded insurance for select items) and did not cover all items, although this was not clearly stated on the forms to do so. It's simple: they LIE and are simply DISHONEST. Here are a few reasons: I added UPDATES following their reply to my review on Trustpilot (see 2nd APPENDIX) 1) UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE - I booked a shipment from the UK to Switzerland. They imported my stuff to Belgium (EU) for storage instead, so now I have to pay import duty ON MY OWN STUFF to get it to Switzerland (because the 2-year grace period has now expired). I found an easy solution: they could just ship my stuff the my parents' in France. They quoted me 1203.99 EUR to change the delivery address. For context, that's the same as the original shipping from the UK to Switzerland. They outsource final delivery from Antwerp to the final destination to UPS (by their own admission) so the price for them to ship to me in Zurich or to Lyon is equal or close to equal. Changing the address that a 3rd party shipping provider will be forwarding to is an admin or service task and should be billed as such. They are unethical, unfair, and dishonest. UPDATE: I have now given up on all this and requested my stuff to be delivered to Zurich as planned but was told my stuff isn't ready for shipping yet, despite having passed customs and having been stored in their facility in Antwerp since Oct 2nd. It is now Oct 30th and "they will get back to me" about when my stuff will be available. They suggest the delay mentioned later on in this review is my fault for not making my mind up but that's not the case as you can see from their email I copied at the very bottom of this review (see APPENDIX, dated 30th October). 2) CUSTOMER SERVICE MAKES FUN OF YOU - When I called to explain my position above the attendant proceeded to give me a bunch of unreasonable explanations such as "you already paid for this stuff to end up in Zurich so now if we have to change address it's a whole new shipping agreement and we cannot refund the old one". Of course you can "refund the old one" because you haven't yet outsourced the delivery to UPS from the depot in Antwerp to Zurich, so you can simply decide to tell UPS to deliver to Lyon when you book that transit instead. That's how 3PL works. When I interrupted the attendant to tell them I wasn't interested in how they justified not doing something entirely feasible, he told me he had "nothing to say". UPDATE: THEY NOW CLAIM THEY DON'T USE UPS BUT I HAVE AN EMAIL FROM THEM ON 27/10/23 STATING: "Our depot is located in Belgium. Delivery to your address in Switzerland will be with our third party agent called UPS Mondays to Fridays". See? ONLY LIES. UPDATE: After digging a hole for themselves, they seem to have finally "made my stuff available" for shipping out from storage (31st Oct). Note that I had to call to find out: they didn't let me know, of course. What's funny is that a few minutes after I called to set up the delivery, I got 14 emails from UPS (one for each box in my shipment) stating that the box was due to be delivered from Antwerp to Zurich next week. SEE THEIR REPLY BELOW: THEY WILL LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH. Save yourself money, and save the world from this parasitic company: just book shipping directly through UPS! The non-descript box made it safely, but my 6ft, floral snow board bag filled with years worth of expensive gear, including 3 boards, mysteriously went missing. Do not use Seven Seas. Despite their "no hidden fees" guarantee there are actually hidden fees everywhere! Once they had my goods they added 39% to the volume measurements and charged me extra and then also applied an overweight fee despite assuring me that weight didn't affect the quote. When I finally received the goods I remeasured them and confirmed my original measurements were perfectly correct but Seven Seas refused to refund. This feels like a con to me! read more

Save yourself money and frustration - do not use Seven Seas as your international moving company if you're in the United States. If you're in the U.S. - be advised that they don't have an office or staff here; rather, you'll be dealing with offshore customer service representatives (CSR) from Malaysia, etc. A few examples of my poor experience: Their shipping document provides a list of "Restricted Contents" however, their website has a set of "Prohibited Items" that are in conflict with what is listed in the shipping document - I now have to have a box returned at a fee to me because of their refusal to recognize their discrepancy. Each time I called in to request/confirm information, I would be given differing (conflicting) information based on who answered the phone (all of the CSRs apparently are named "Joe"). I've been sent multiple emails prompting me to go to the "Documents" tab on their website to upload documents but could never find it on your website. One CSR told me "...it's because you need Google Chrome in order to see it"...I downloaded it and still did not see it. Do yourself favor...don't trust ANY of the positive reviews for Seven Seas - chose another shipping company that is based in the U.S. that may be a bit more expensive...hard lesson learned. read more

DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO MOVE!!! I would give it negative star if I could! They might seem cheaper at the beginning but just pay the premium for better service, this company is not worth it at all! Brief Summary: 1. They give customers very short deadlines on extra payments and documentation process, but they are always delayed or postponed when they were supposed to reply or delivery our boxes. 2. They gave us asymmetric information which costed us money, time and heartaches. Some staff told us A while some staff told us B. Highly unprofessional! 3. Everytime you contact them it is someone different and they all say they don't know. We tried to make an official complain but the staff made us spend extra time to write an email to a specific email address, rather than helping us escalate the issue internally, when they already have all our information in front of them. Making your clients spend extra time to complain about the problems your company created is just quite insane. 4. They gave us unreliable information on the process of customs clearing, which could have costed us more than CAD300, but thanks to yourselves for dealing with it carefully we avoided the extra payment. When we confronted them with an official complain email, they just made excuses to brush it off. Background: We were relocating from city A in Asia and city B in North America, while our boxes were waiting to board the ship in Asia, we suddenly had to re-relocate to another city C in North America, so we informed them. They said they couldn't help us change the destination until it arrives in city B in North America because it has already declared to clear customs there. Through out the course of the event, we had multiple communications with their staff by email and phone, they all told us the same thing which was questionable. However, when it was arriving in city B, one staff told us we should have told them we wanted to change the location while our boxes were still in Asia! The asymmetric information provided by their staff is already very unprofessional. When our boxes arrived in city B, we were only given 3 days to clear customs or they would charge us bonded warehouse fee per day. We have already left for city C so we had to get our friend to help us clear customs at the customs office. They failed to tell us if we didn't clear in person, there is an extra charge of close to CAD300, but we could also clear in city C instead of city B, which Sevenseas DID NOT MENTION at all!!! When we complained about this to them in an official email, along with other problems, they just simply made an excuse saying it is the client's responsibility and they have no jurisdiciton over. So clearly, they have no professional expertise on such important things related to moving, such as customs clearing... When they were finally about to arrive in city C, they were postponed multiple times without any clear explanation, and on the day of the actual delivery, it missed the intended time frame and again, they couldn't tell us why this was happening... We don't wish this terrible experience upon anybody that is moving. Pay the premium and hire someone better, this company is just highly unprofessional, unorganised, lacks accountability and overall unable to perform their duties at an acceptable level. read more

They lost one of my packages and make no active amendments. I have to call them numerous times, and the customer service only say they would try to find it, that I must wait for 4 months or so before I could receive a compensation, and eventually this lasts for a year and I'm still in the process. They don't send me an update at all if I don't make any follow-up calls or emails. Now that the insurance company they partnered with agree to compensate me, it's much lower (nearly $100 less) than the luggage value I reported, and it was me who paid the insurance in the beginning. The package I lost was my study notes which was invaluable to me, and I would feel sad about them for the rest of my life even if one day I finally receive the compensation. Worst shipping company. Please AVOID at all costs! I have done multiple shipments from the USA to India but had the worst experience with Seven Seas. Until you make the shipment, they coordinate with you and provide all the support; however once it arrives at the destination country, they won't ship to your home very easily. They try to delay as much as possible and charge you extra money, citing various reasons and until you make the extra payment, they won't return your goods. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

Great customer service until it comes yo preventing you incuring a charge. I uploaded my documents 24 hours before my boxes were picked up letting them know what I was shiping. 12 hours after my boxes are collected I receive an email to tell me I have an unacceptable item and will be charged to remove it. They had 24 hours to tell me this but were unable to and then say they are going to charge me 50gbp to remove the item when it is the failing of their customer service. I have a terrible experience when I asked for quotation and after "service" I was asking to get the delivery service from HKG to YVR. The staff told me that it's about CAD$ 140 for one 30KG parcel and I told them I only need 2 maxi boxes to send out but finally gave me another wrong quotation (10 boxes) via email. While I am waiting, I have left my belongings to Hong Kong as I think it's a good deal to send via Seven Seas and my friend sent their goods to UK with a great deal too. After that, I have asked many times to get the updated but no one reply. Therefore, I call all the way from YVR to HKG to get the updated quotation but the prices is horribly high and more expensive than UPS, DHL & FedEx while Seven Seas have to wait for 3-4months to get the boxes. I have feedback all these to their call center in Malaysia but the call center staff Edmond Lee who just hang up my call with very rude matter. Also, His supervisor doesn't wanna handle this complaint and even don't disclose its name. It wasted over 1 hour for this call and was insisted to write an email for this complaint. This Edmond Lee keeps hanging up my call without professional advice and showed such shitty manner towards to their customers. After few calls, I insisted to make an official complaint and was given a name and details to I email to their CS manager, Jane Elwall from UK but NEVER replied from this woman!!! Also, Edmond Lee mentioned that I can just simply not accept this quotation and accept other companies. This is also another hilarious action and speech made from this guy. Based on his short vision and irresponsible wordings , he totally doesn't know the impact to their customers. If the staff never mentioned a great deal. I have already send it out via another companies 2 months ago. You can see Seven Seas has such irresponsible and barbaric service and staff to their customers. He advised to complain and write on forum and service review all over world too. His words keeps challenge their customers with such bad manner. I can say this company keep changing their prices due to market demand even it just happened within 12 hours. Be Cautious!!! This is TOTALLY unacceptable and unreasonable attitude. Seven seas were due to ship my items between Ireland and the UK. They lost my large box and have not offered to compensate the amount that I had valued the item at. Pretty major financial, personal and life cost to this. They sent me emails saying they were sorry for my disappointment. It's a lot worse than disappointment when they flat out loose your valuables and offer no redress. I feel pretty wronged to be honest. read more

Be very wary of this company! The tape was cut at the bottom of our boxes & items stolen. When you receive your boxes they look untampered. When all the photo's were sent to Head Office they refused to accept any responsibility, even though we had paid for the extra insurance. When you report this issue to police there is nothing much they can do about it as it is regarded as an overeas crime - Seven Seas realise this so really don't care. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I shipped 5 boxes from Sweden to the US. I was required to be home the day they were supposed to deliver because it had to be signed for. The day BEFORE scheduled delivery I come home to find 4 of the boxes left on my front porch. Two of the boxes contained my grandmother's china and it was completely crushed. Not a couple of pieces broken...crushed!!! Like someone had intentionally tossed them around and possibly jumped on them. The fifth box was missing and they couldn't find it until the 4th or 5th time I kept complaining I got the message that "oh, that was thrown away because it was so much broken porcelain it would be dangerous for the delivery people to handle." They didn't have any trouble handling the other two crushed boxes. They couldn't show any proof that the box existed. So lots of memorabilia from my parents and grandparents are lost forever. read more

When we tried to call back, he never picked up the phone. Seven seas worldwide shipping....where do I even start? This negative review and manic ranting could be never-ending but I think its probably best to be short and snappy so nobody else makes the same mistake as me. Don't do it. Don't use this company. Not reliable. Not stress free. Yes hidden costs. For context, let's begin with my first shipment (by boat) from Shanghai to Glasgow (UK). This venture took 121 days for two suitcases. It took 12 days to move between Kent and Glasgow. But this wasn't really a problem for me, it was my autumn/winter clothing (this happened in August/September) so I was patient, it would eventually arrive, I'll give Seven Seas a call and just check up on it to be sure. The call centre staff are most probably the most unhelpful people I've ever encountered in the service industry. They had no additional information that I couldn't see for myself on the website tracker, whether this is a management flaw (I suspect it most likely is) or the people just didn't care (this could also be partly true) nobody was able to tell me anything further than "yes it does appear to be taking longer than usual" ...why?..."call back again in a couple of days and we'll see what the situation is" they were desperate to get me off the line, one can only imagine they are inundated with frustrated customers like myself. Calling back in a couple of days simply resulted in a different person telling me to call back in a couple of days and this cycle repeated itself for a good few weeks... Hey ho it eventually made it to the UK to my parents house and I used DHL to swiftly transport it onwards to Poland which they managed in 4 days. Well done DHL! Now, my second shipment, this is the big one that nearly drove me to a nervous breakdown. My every-day and work clothes that went on an AIR shipment (this means they flew in an airplane although I now reckon they packed it on the back of a tortoise) took 74 days to transport from China to Poland. 74 days. 74. Soon the cycle of calls began "oh dear longer than usual... don't know why... give it a couple of days... call back". This went on for weeks, 6 at least. Then, I get an email from Polish customs "why is this name on your shipment?". By this point, my luggage had been at customs for a few weeks and seven seas had told me there was no problem and I just had to wait it out, it was out of their hands and all the fault of customs going slowly. I then received a call...and it hit the fan...the name on my shipment was not my name. So I tell customs that I don't know that name or why it's on my luggage and proceed to call Seven Seas where I immediately lose my patience (to put it politely). This was the reason for the delay, why had this not been picked up on, why had this happened in the first place. Why oh why. Well this outburst finally got the ball rolling. Something clicked with Seven Seas that I was not a happy customer. They finally pulled their finger out and lo and behold they were actually able to do something about the delay (why had this not been possible earlier when I was being polite and courteous? Who knows!) Fast forward another 3 weeks, a further customs payment, yes there were 2 payments needed for some reason to TNT and FedEx (they were now involved and I don't quite know why, no one seems to talk to each other and they certainly did not talk to me). I am seriously out of pocket from the cost to begin with, additional customs costs, additional cost for masks being removed (apparently China won't allow that in a midst of a pandemic) and then having to buy new clothes to keep me going until my luggage arrived. I have no idea how they have a high rating on TrustPilot (more like UNtrust pilot, am I right?! I guess 'bots' are all the rage these days and get the ratings higher). I am so glad that this nightmare has ended, I have my stuff back and I will never use Seven Seas again and I urge everyone else to look elsewhere for their shipping needs. read more

This is my second time using them thought to give a second chance First time moving to france, has some unpleasant surprises but everything arrived. Now moving back to the USA, I sent in 12 boxes. First thing one box is missing, I called multiple times seven seas worldwide and spoke to UPS. UPS claims this box has never been scanned which is odd since all the others have been scanned. Seven Seas claims they gave all 12 boxes together to UPS. It has been a week and a half and no updates, no one knows where my box is. It is getting really frustrating. Also I noticed that many of my boxes had been opened, it had one piece of transparent tape to be closed, when I had carefully taped multiple times with brown tape. Not sure who opened my boxes if Customs or seven seas or ups, but they came in a very poor state. I have pictures of all my boxes to show the condition they arrived in. One of my ceramic plates was also damaged upon arrival. I am very very disappointed with this company it is the second time I use them and this experience was worse than the previous. Every time I call the customer service line, they clearly do not care about my missing box neither do they seem to be in a hurry to find it. Avoid at all cost.
