UPDATE: owner reached out to clarify that they weren't available so Angel was helping me book from the hospital... This is purely based on customer service alone. Not extremely rude but just left an ick. I asked for the service, gave them all my info, twice and when they presented a quote and sent it to my email the addresses were incorrect. Moving is STRESSFUL. It's the details that really matter so this was enough for me to second guess things. When I messaged saying I didn't want to book the service anymore (no I did NOT sign the agreement for the service bc the address I specifically stated was incorrect), they messaged back saying "no you booked with us." Uhh no, I did not sign it lol They seem to operate with a central cell center to book moves so I'm assuming it's a bigger business so watch out for the truck fee, gas, extra wraps, and double time distance fees! Those really add up! Overall: ehh. Just based on communication alone I don't think I'll ever book. But if you've had a good experience, then great. read more

My husband and I utilized Angel Moving & Storage for a move out of our 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment into a home all within the San Leandro area. They weren't the cheapest moving option when we solicited quotes through Yelp, but since we utilized them before and they did such a great job, we decided that that trust was priceless. I'm glad we went with Angel because they rearranged their schedule to make our move in date and time work for them and while they initially quoted 7-8 hours, the team of three movers managed to get everything done in less than 5 hours. This meant not only loading up the truck with our boxes and various items of furniture, but they also helped us to disassemble and reassemble larger pieces of furniture like our king sized bed and dining table. Just like last time, they wrapped many of our items and we moved in with really minor cosmetic scrapes to a couple of IKEA pieces which, honestly, is to be expected. Great communication throughout even though the owner was out of town the day of our move. The only hiccup happened because I didn't reach out earlier to let them know we needed to utilize wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes like last time. angel is a life saver!!' we recently scheduled a moving compa to move my sister-in-law out of her apartment and two days before she was supposed to move the movling company called and canceled. We were in such a bind because we had to be out by March 15. we contacted Angel moving storage and they were able to get us on the schedule the 15th and it was significantly cheaper than the original moving company. I have used Angel twice to move - review on both experiences below. One moving + packing the other just Moving August 2024 - packing & moving Juan - day of guy in charge - 5 stars, Juan was communicative, caring and seems to have the best outcome of my move in mind. He was great. Packing - 2 stars - Do not have this team pack for you! I opted to have the team pack about 2/3 of my house, including breakables and my kitchen. this was a mistake. Many boxes were packed carelessly with breakables not wrapped in paper (I provided so much bubble wrap and packing paper there was reams of excess in the end) and glass items just piled in next to each other which caused breakage. There was also mixed care for electronic items. the TV was moved and cords replaced to their original spot, my peloton had the cord missing for several days until I found it it one of the boxes they packed. I emailed Angel the owner the day after the move about the missing cord (asking if maybe it was in the truck as I had not found yet) and about item breakage along with photos and never heard back from him. Additionally, while 2 of the team members were packing with gusto the other two team members on the crew were outside waiting around more often for the first few hours, at $269 per hour + tip for the whole crew I expected everyone to be working the whole time. this move took 11 hours in total, 3 bed house. Moving - 4 starts, once the remainder of the house was packed it took 2 trips to get everything over (I was a little surprised at this as we had not accumulated too many other items to then merit a 2nd trip vs the last time. August 2023 - moving only 4 star local moving experience for the price. We packed ourselves so the team quickly loaded and moved our goods in about 7 hours total. They disassembled big furniture and moved those out well. Took one star off for several nicks and dents to furniture, use of more moving blankets would have been good. For the price of a 3 person team and time I saw this as a good experience and nice guys to work with. Team was hard working and fast. It took one trip in the truck for a 3 bedroom house. read more

Appreciate these guys so much! They came early and knocked out my move in a few hours. They were super efficient. I didn't have any covers for my furniture and they came fully prepared with covers and plastic wrap. Angel and his team helped us move our 6 bedroom house. It took over 13 hours in their 26 foot truck and 2 trips, but they never skipped a beat. They arrived early, carefully wrapped and taped our furniture before moving them. They were quick and efficient in loading the truck. Once we arrived at the destination and realized some of the pieces were too big for the doorway, Angel was creative to make adjustments without damaging the pieces. The best of all was when we needed to make slight adjustment to our bed afterwards, Angel was willing to stop by again on his own time to help us out. The whole experience with Angel Moving & Storage was absolutely positive, they were quick to respond to my email inquiries, flexible with my scheduling, knowledgeable about the business. I. HATE. MOVING. So much so that I avoided doing so for nearly a decade. However, with Angel's team of movers I could definitely see myself doing it again, should the need arise. Starting with the quoting process, (where he actually sent a quote based on the Yelp project details I entered rather than calling me incessantly, requiring a phone call to ask the same questions over again or asking for pictures), working with Angel was a breeze. I knew from beginning to end what to expect in terms of rates and he allowed me to be flexible with their packing services, which I ended up using after all and let me tell you it was worth it! (I should've just used it for the "hard" rooms and reduced my stress from the beginning.) He also told me that while they put furniture back together they don't provide mounting in the new place; I appreciated the expectations being clarified and set early on because that could've been a problem. In terms of moving day and arrival time, Angel and his team are prompt. They told me they'd arrive at 8 am and they arrived, parked and were ready to go at 7:59 am! Talk about if you're early, you're on-time! The 3 movers were fast, efficient and friendly--especially Miguel! Before I could blink, my kitchen that was completely unpacked was neatly packed and in the truck in about 35 minutes. (My kitchen was by no means small and included an additional pantry.) They also helped me unmount EVERYTHING from my living room, 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Heck, they even helped me bag my groceries and put them in my car. Also, when they saw me struggling with anything even related or completely UNRELATED to the move, they stepped up to help. Case and point, I had to put the original locks back on my doors after putting smart locks in and the first one wasn't budging, not to mention I'd forgotten how I got them on in the first place. After watching a YouTube video, Miguel and another guy from the moving team helped me sort it out completely. It's the small things for me that matter--just above and beyond! They were also super kind/supportive of my dog who was anxious and wanted to play the whole time. (That's definitely not in the job description and again, I appreciated it.) Finally, they didn't complain about moving into my new place up to the third floor (but technically up 4 flights of stairs from the ground floor) with no elevator. Not a peep and just jovial and fast the whole time. Truly changed my perspective on moving and like I said, I'd do it again, but specifically just with Angel and his team! Angel and his team moved me from San Francisco to San Leandro and did an amazing job!! They were on time, professional and FAST. My house in SF has narrow stairs both inside and outside-- the guys were able to navigate even w/ bulky furniture. I was also concerned about moving b/c the SF house has all original wood floors, but the guys handled everything with such care AND were able to do the job in six hours (3 br move). Fast forward about a year, I moved a short distance within the same neighborhood in San Leandro. Again Angel and his crew were my go-to movers. I was told they were bonded and insured so I took a chance after speaking to Joey (the manager) I felt very confident in their ability to get the job done. Based on the reviews, I just expected better results. They left a box and items in my old home (forgot to move them). About a quarter of the boxes were placed in the wrong room. When I would point out the wrong placement, they acted frustrated. Not sure if this is a good or bad amount of time just FYI got 4 movers and was charged 5 and 1/2 hours for 800 sqft home moved 3 miles. I'm mostly giving this rating for the fact I needed to double-check all the work that was done and kept catching errors. Better price than others. read more

Not reliable. My valuable item ($800) was lost. I deeply regret using their service. The communication was extremely stressful. I wish I didn't have to leave a review like this. Even though the valuable item was lost during their operations, they are not taking any responsibility. They said, "Your neighbor must have stolen it" and "File a police report." It's very frustrating to hear them try to shift the blame. If a moving company isn't reliable in transporting your belongings safely, why would you use their service? Let's say losing an item can happen, but at the very least, the customer service should be better to make up for the mistake. I'm very sad. read more

I was moving from an apartment on the 2nd floor to a house and had a ton of stuff (including a lot of weights). I had a crew of 4 guys and the 26ft truck which was able to move most of our stuff. The guys were on time, friendly, took great care of our stuff, helped break down some bed frames, and the price was reasonable considering the amount of items needed to be moved (plus they were transparent with their pricing which I appreciated). Note: we had the majority of our stuff boxed and ready to go. It ended up taking 5-6 hours for loading and then unloading.
