I never leave bad reviews but this was a terrible experience, terrible service, and ruse sarcastic customer service. The salespeople will promise the world. I have an injured shoulder and asked to be guaranteed door to door delivery. After some time when wondering about my belongings I called. The very rude lady said she couldn't tell me when my items would arrive. She said UPS will deliver them in a month or so. This was the first time I heard UPS was delivering. Meanwhile, I am getting fee on top of fee. They confiscated my masks. The list of prohibited items did not say masks were prohibited. This detail is buried on their website. Meanwhile, I FedExed masks to relatives multiple times. So whose rule is this? They wouldn't say. But they did charge my a large 1050HKD fee. This on top of numerous other hidden fees. Moving on when my goods did arrive they were carelessly thrown downstairs and most definitely not door to door. Look how many times on their site they say door to door. They also claim all over the site they use their own network all the way. they also make this claim when you re on hold. Which you will be many times I assure you waiting to find out where your goods are. So they DO NOT use their own network. They use UPS. SO what is the point? Why pay this premium for them to use UPS? The kicker is their sarcastic customer service rep who after numerous emails will finally get back to you and sarcastically claim that they deeply regret how wrong I was and should have dug through their pages of terms and exceptions. ******WARNING******* Be careful when choosing this company. They provide you with quotes and then send you an invoice with a 50% increased amount. My partner and i chose Seven Seas Worldwide after reading a recommendation on Australians in New York Facebook page. We are now regretting our decision. The customer service department is abysmal. We have called them, emailed them asking for an explanation as to why the quote is different to the final invoice. The response we get is 'It just is.' To add to it, Seven Seas Worldwide keep sending us late payment notices while we have our enquiry on the price discrepancy escalated. On the 5th attempt to speak to someone from customer service at Seven Seas Worldwide , the customer service operator re-ran our quote to the exact sizing of the boxes and bags we intended to ship. She also found a discrepancy between the quote price and final invoice price. The price generated from the quote system and account teams is worlds apart. So be persistent and question everything. Our matter is still not resolved, despite recent finding but we are hoping Seven Seas Worldwide do the right thing here - time will tell. I shipped my excess baggage from the UK to USA with them. 8 boxes in total. Pick up went smoothly enough. I was notified once my items had cleared customs in the US. I was then informed that they did not deliver to my area and they would out source the delivery, no tracking information was given. They used UPS, what a disaster, first delivery time was between 9am-6pm on the 24/05 so I took whole day off work and waited, no show. As it was after hours Sevenseas is unreachable, not even an answering machine, phone just rings out. So I emailed and get a response around 9.30 at night with tracking info this time, UPS site says missed delivery at 10.30am, absolute lie, I was home the entire day. redelivery schedule for 2.30pm-6.30pm the next day, so I cancelled all my plans and wait, txt message come through, missed delivery 10.08am. Absolute lie, not only was I home, they weren't even scheduled in their own system until after 2.30pm. I call UPS, just get a robot, call Sevenseas, phone just rings out, email again, just a bunch on excuses, no info. UPS site says redelivery Tuesday 28/5 between 2.30pm-6.30pm, I get a phone a work at 11.55am, delivery drives want permission to leave the boxes unattended, well 5 out of the 8 anyway. Where are the other 3 I ask, another driver maybe is the answer. UPS sites says out for delivery between 2.30-6.30, well it's twenty to 7pm so I guess not today. THEY DON"T EVEN WORTH ANY STAR! RUN from this company!! My cargo was hired on 23 July, 2019 to ship a small cube with boxes from Singapore to New York. The total bill was SGD$1259 and I paid $300 upfront. They collected my boxes then refused to ship due to my previous visa's remaining days was shorter than their request. They soon forced to put my boxes to their storage and started topping fee without my agreement. The bill ran up insanely to SGD3254.53. In between I explained my visa situation with pending proof from USCIS and attorney. I told them should just ship so the result should come out when it arrives to within their request dates, but the application dragged 10 months til last June, which was unexpected and out of my hands. After 1 year and 8 months now, they're still holding the boxes even my new visa has already passed and issued. I have over months of emails back and forth with them to explain my visa or financial situation and asked them to honoured the contract, but they refuse to ship still. They even threaten to dispose and sell my belongs with record of emails from their manger. I have all emails of conversations that are considered black and white for courts and am totally fine to expose online. I will post this story in different languages on platforms plus ask help of companies wherever they base to make this known to people online so they can take my lesson and stay far from you. read more

Seven Seas will most likely try to respond to this review. Read their response carefully as well as the way they respond to the other 1 star ratings on this site. You will see the carelessness that I and many others have been dealing with. Since I have handed off my two items to seven seas to be shipped to the UK I have managed to experience just about everything that can go wrong with a shipment. See below for the full list of issues I've experienced with this "shipping company": 1) Misplacing my items on a container to be shipped by sea and not by air which contributed to extensive delays. I had to call seven seas multiple times to even find out that they had incorrectly placed my items on a shipping container to be shipped by sea and not by air. I was quoted for air service and agreed to ship by air and received the confirmation that my items would be shipped by air. 2) Surprise fees (not included in the quote) for REQUIRED additional packaging once my items were scheduled to be shipped by air. Seven Seas will not admit to providing me an incorrect quote and when I complained about the additional costs they kept saying that I requested additional packaging when I have multiple emails stating that the warehouse staff highly suggested that my items be put into additional packaging considering that they were very fragile (as if it is even an option to ship fragile items without protective packaging). When I provided the information about my items to receive a quote I stated very clearly to the person on the phone that they were fragile. I also stated the dimensions and weight of them and Seven Seas still came back to charge me for additional packaging because their quoting process is horrible. John Henderson (director of marketing and IT) responded to my emails and continued to push back on this point. He was not helpful until I threatened to write reviews and publicize the responses I received thru email which never addressed my issues or the points I made to the company. John eventually said that he would take off half of the price for additional packaging which I agreed to since I had already been waiting a month and half for my stuff. 3) Extensive delays in receiving my items which have now gone much longer than the time frame I was quoted for air service. I was quoted for air service which was to take 20-24 days. Both items were picked up March 1st, 2019 and only 1 item successfully made it to me April 23rd, 2019 (53 days). I am still waiting for the other item which has now been lost by UPS. 4) Being surprised by the fact that seven seas handed my items off to a third party shipper (UPS) to be delivered. Seven Seas will not tell you this up front but they will hand your stuff off to another shipping company to deliver it to you. This came as a complete surprise to me. I had no say in this matter either. Hey Seven Seas, I thought you were a shipping company. Why did you do this? I was hoping you might deliver my stuff to me using another stoned seven seas truck driver. 5) LOST ITEMS. They managed to lose a very valuable part of my shipment. Be sure to insure your items for the FULL value as seven seas has been known to lose and damage shipments frequently. There have been no attempts to communicate the status of my insurance claim for the lost items to me and they have no record of me refusing this claim. I have yet to receive any repayment through insurance for the lost items to this day! I find it hard to believe that they think they can get away with treating customers like this. I have wasted hours writing emails and making calls just for them to make almost every possible mistake. If you try to call customer service they are trained to read off of a script. When you finally do get a manager they will not authorize any type of credit for inconvenience. They will fight you tooth and nail over even small monetary amounts. I naturally assume this is because they are losing money due to their all-around incompetence and broken internal processes. All of this leads to poor quality of service and failed shipments. If you go look seven seas worldwide up on internal employee review websites (glassdoor.com, indeed.com, or monster) you will be able to read about all of the internal issues they're having which have been written by former real employees of Seven Seas Worldwide. Don't end up like me. Do your homework before using any shipping company if you plan to ship anything of value to you. They are an incompetent company and they are aggressive about maintaining their poor business practices.
