Back - the Brock Front - Portrait in Pink
    April L.

Amazing place for cocktails and a snack. We had 5:30 reservations, which were not hard to get in advance. Best cocktail was My Fair Lady, fresh and verdant tasting. The Brock was a take on a margarita with a great foam topping Bright Young Thing was also excellent, especially if you like gin. Orange foam was delish. Skip Portrait in Pink. Tasted like perfume to me. But the waitress was great and got me a new drink when I didn't like this one that I originally ordered. Short ribs baos were *chef's kiss*. For sure, get them. We'll likely be back the next time we're in Palm Springs. I want to try their late night (after 9pm) menu to get a lobster roll!

So pleased with this experience, booked a reservation to celebrate my birthday and was celebrated with a complimentary glass of champagne, I ordered the Singapore Sling French 75 and a Portrait in Pink! Loved every drink and loved the service! We were welcomed with good small conversation and surprised by the music! We ordered the truffle fries and the bao buns. The bao buns were perfection and the truffle fries were perfectly crispy. Cant wait to try Bar Cecil on my next trip.

Dimly lit, sexy place for a night cap. Drinks are fantastic and they also have small bites. Reservations are a bit easier to come by here than Cecil. They are connected but makes a great night cap after having dinner Cecil. Service on point and place is instaworthy.

Came to celebrate a birthday here and it was very vibey and aesthetic. It felt very posh and elegant. The steak (medium well) was so juicy and not chewy at all. The drinks were delicious and well crafted. I wish there was more than one waitress for the whole establishment because she felt a bit overwhelmed with all the tables but overall a cute and good experience.

We had a cute night cap af Beaton's. The ambiance was dark, moody, and SEXY! Reservations are hard to snag, so make sure you grab them in advance. There is tons of parking out front. We came here a little earlier than expected, and the hostess was able to accommodate. I absolutely loved the decor here. The cocktails were bold, vibrant, and had some sneaky ingredients that I appreciate. For example, The Windsor cocktail had a side shot of underberg (which is a German bitter, most commonly used for digestion after heavy meals). Also loved the Vogue King, which had mezcal & celery bitters. It was heavily herbaceous, and had beautiful green presentation. We had a fantastic night!

I could not love this place more. It has quickly become one of my must do spots whenever I'm in Palm Springs. The vibes are both buzzy and cozy, the list of cocktails are amazing, staff is very helpful and the snacks are so good too. A perfect spot to end your night.

If you're looking for great cocktails and light bites in Palm Springs, paired with excellent service and the ambiance of a Parisian cocktail bar, then you'll have to check out Beaton's at Bar Cecil. It was a fun spot to sit at the bar while we were waiting for our table to be ready next door at Bar Cecil. The bartenders are excellent at working their mixology magic. Highly recommend checking this space out.

Beaton's should be on everyone's list for Palm Springs. We were told by someone in a gallery to go but hard to get in without a reservation. 6 women walked in at 6:00 and were greeted by Alex. We would have been happy seated in the waiting area with green couches. Alex seated us at the Owner's table, after calling us Lovelies and telling us we would have a lovely table. The bar is beautifully decorated with chandeliers and framed photos in the bathrooms. We ordered fun cocktails, French 75s, spicy margarita and mocktails. We loved the music, and picked many of the songs to add to a dance playlist. We canceled reservations at a restaurant to stay and enjoyed deviled eggs, Girl & Dug farm salad, vegan bao buns, pigs in a blanket, oysters and colossal shrimp cocktail. Our server Alex was perfect for our group. He was very attentive, offered good suggestions from the menu, was willing to take photos for us. As the night went on and we danced and sang to the music, we had great conversations with other servers and the other host Jason as well. I texted my 33 year old daughter that she and her friends need to go to Beaton's.

The place looks and feels amazing. Employees only vibes for sure. The drinks were spot on. The service was great. And the food hit all the right buttons. The salad was delicious, the pasta as well. Very authentic bolognese. That bread is really really good too. I can't think of anything to change except the reservation system at all three restaurants. It's way too hard to make a reservation and really easy to walk in. I don't think people realize this. We tried for three years to eat at Bar Cecil. And even when we showed up at 5pm as instructed from the staff at Del Rey. We didn't quite understand the concept of Beatons. It is its own thing. Which wasn't made clear at the host. I just think that walk ins need to be welcome and Bar Cecil needs to be a little more accessible. Love the food at this location as it's much brighter and diverse than most. Much more flavor.

My girlfriend and I had a 5:30 reservation but got stuck in horrible traffic driving back from the Pasadena showcase house of design -we pulled in at 6:30 a full hour late. Great front desk staff who still accommodated us on the patio. Gorgeous interior! Very European as the waiter arrives with a three tiered silver tray with appertivo-(home made potato chips and green olives). We each ordered a petite Chablis and the steamed duck bao buns- delicious! I cannot wait to go back and really explore the menu.

interior space with Andy, Edie and Henry looking on

An intoxicating interior space. Reminds me of the 1960s TV show... Wild Wild West, meets French Art Deco w some 1980s Milo Baughmandesigns in the mash up. (Ive seen this trend at The Parker, etc.) Beaton's is their bar/lounge, Bar Cecil is the restaurant. Popular with the PS boujee crowd. Drinks yes! Nibble were okay, skip the pigs in blanket and get the pomme frites. Excellent and professional friendly service from the minute you are greeted at the door. BTW we were walk ins on a Monday night with plans only to have a cocktail. We were given a table and the server was so delightful that we asked if there was an opening for dinner at Cecil... She got us a 8:15 table! There were no other openings that i saw. They are really service first here... the staff/customer ration is practically 1:1 I did try the burger... great flavor, and cute (w great pomme frites) but would not order again, other items seemed more interesting.

    Singapore Sling

Hospitality and food are always top priorities for me when trying a new place, and Beaton's did not disappoint. It was conveniently close to our hotel, making it the perfect choice for a date night--and I'm so glad we gave it a try. From the start, the host was inviting and attentive. We asked to possibly be seated at the bar in Beaton's. We waited briefly in the lounge for about 5-10 minutes, which gave us a chance to take in the atmosphere. Beaton's Red Room has a unique, elevated vibe that really stands out from other spots in Palm Springs--I absolutely loved it. Luis, the bartender, truly made the night memorable. His recommendations were super helpful, and his mixology skills were exceptional. I got the Singapore Sling which was yummy and sweet. I was very happy after my night out at Beaton's.

Small enough that it's close to the type of vibe you need. As for the space itself, it has a dim lighting, a tv for sports or popular shows if you just want to zone out. You have your usual singers and a good ebb and flow of people trying to catch a song. Karaoke is definitely the heart of this place. The escargot was beautifully prepared and made even better by the perfectly char-grilled baguette that came alongside it. The steak tartare was an absolute flavor bomb with great seasoning, especially paired with the house-made potato chips. It leaned a touch salty, but in a way that made it the perfect appetizer and somehow had us ordering another round of cocktails. The grilled artichokes were simple, smoky, and delicious. The red curry mussels were served with that same incredible bread and an aromatic, deeply flavorful broth that we didn't want to leave behind. The smoked pork chop was another standout--beautifully charred on the outside while staying perfectly juicy inside. Beyond the food, the service was fabulous, attentive, but not rushed. The atmosphere is quintessential Palm Springs: stylish, colorful, well-lit and a lively environment overall. It made for a memorable birthday celebration, and everyone in our group left happy.
