The ambiance here is awesome in the evening, we strolled in after eating dinner a few blocks away. The bar was empty which nice because it was six of us and they only have 7 seats. Our bartender was really cool, she just moved to Palm Springs from Santa Monica about six months and didn't like the heat so much haha. The drinks here are excellent, I mean really good! It's take about 5 minutes to make one of the specialty cocktails so be prepared to a wait a second. I was a bit surprised at the amount of dogs that we saw at the hotel for a second I thought we had stopped at a doozie day care. We are dog lovers and have a pup ourselves but it was a bit odd to see so many dogs in such a nice hotel. I loved the drinks here though and most definitely will come back next time we are in the area. back again.

Great place to have a nice drink . If you are staying at the hotel or just passing through, this bar is a relaxing place for a pit stop . Wet your whistle with one of their cocktails or enjoy a nice Chardonnay like I tend to do . The hotel is dog friendly which means Yes! I went and got a drink with my dog ! They brought him a water bowl and he got petted by some of the other patrons . This was absolutely a huge win for me and my canine . If nothing more than just to people watch and sit with my dog I would return here for another drink on a night out in Palm Springs .

James the best bar tender around!

We weren't even staying at the Rowan and we had the best time with James the bar tender we never left! Our next trip out to PS will definitely be at the Rowan. We had the best drinks masterfully crafted by James - and that is saying a lot because my husband is a bit of a "mixologist" himself. Instead of eating at the restaurant we decided to order our dinner at the bar where James kept our drinks flowing!

we have been coming to palm springs for years and absolutely LOVED window bar, a relative newcomer to the cocktail scene. the bartender (forget his name, he was from brazil and amazing) made the BEST cocktails we've had in the region and was incredibly knowledgeable about all the spirits, on top of that he took the time to answer our questions and really went above and beyond to make our experience special. window bar is now on our list of just visits when in town.

The Window Bar is in the corner of the living room (lobby to people who don't frequent Kimpton hotels) at the Kimpton Rowan Hotel. Our bartender, Bryan made some amazing drinks. You can grab a seat at the bar or one of the many comfortable chairs or couches near by. If you are chilly, pull up a seat next to the fireplace. I highly recommend you come here for a drink then spend the night at the Rowan.

FACILITY: Small, limited seating indoors with very nice, fun, outdoor seating areas. Love this place. MENU: Simple, easy to understand, great photos online if you have any questions. FOOD PREP: Very well done, like professional in just how it looks. FOOD QUALITY: Professional in how it also tastes... Watermelon Gazpacho was perfect with drinks prior to main. LIBATIONS: drinks and bartender were excellent, fun, and the photo print was very cool. WAITSTAFF: just so nice, and fun making the experience all that much better. We have been enjoying The Plaza Theater so spending a little more time in Palm Springs and this will be one of our favorites places to relax prior to an event. OVERALL VALUE: Good, but it is Palm Springs, outdoors, great locations, classy.. no, not inexpensive but well worth it. TIP: I'd say be nice, be patient, and you will get a table. Don't be an angry rude touron, we don't need that vibe and we see some of that in PS.. You can try for reservations, not sure if they take off season.

Seemed to be more of a mixed age crowd than some other places on the street. Upon arrival, we walked the premises checking out the large front bar, and then into the back area which had the dance floor and a smaller bar. The three of us opted for a table out on the patio which provided the inside music as a background, so having a conversation was possible. The drinks were good and a little more reasonably priced than at our first stop. They had male go-go dancers around the main bar area, providing a little extra visual stimulation over all of the regular customers dancing in the back. All-male bar and wait staff the night of our visit. Overall, I enjoyed myself more than at our first stop, Hunters, which was across the street. I would definitely come back here again.
