Stopped in to Mad Chef unexpectedly while traveling through Lancaster…read more My wife and I were hungry and tired from traveling through Pennsylvania. Thankfully Mad Chef was open later than most places so we got in before the kitchen closed. I enjoyed the low lighting with the brewery equipment shining in the background. Having the Phillies game on the tv's only added to our experience. Our drinks and food were excellent. I always like to enjoy a local craft beer, having it paired on site with fabulous eats is even better. I ordered Mr Dynamite Brown, their American brown ale which was fabulous. We ordered a small Pommes Frites (French fries) that were cooked in Canola oil. While light in color, these fries were cooked to perfection. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, salted just right. My wife ordered the pretzel and said it was her type, buttery, salty, and doughy. I ordered the Korean Pork Nachos, by far the best nachos I've ever had the pleasure to devour. I can't begin to describe how well the roasted corn poblano medley brought this plate together. Every bite had an explosion of flavor with the Korean glaze and Gochujang aioli. This dish blows Guy Fieri's trash can Brisket nachos out of the water. If ever in Lancaster don't pass up on the Mad Chef Craft Brewing gem.

This was my 2nd time coming to Mad Chef!…read more The first time I came here was about 2 years ago (before doing yelp reviews). I was not very impressed. This time around I cannot complain! Their specials are all revolving around the Masters which was unique! We tried the Pimento, Fried Green Tomato, Chicken Sandwich (The Pimento Birdie). This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. Go up to the counter, tell them your table number, and your food arrives shortly! Prices are high here! Expect a larger number on your check if consuming both food and alcohol!

The atmosphere was lively, our server was attentive, and everything came out at a good pace. We started with the wings and nachos, which were both excellent and easy to share with the table. Several of us ordered the tenderloin tips, while others had the fish and wraps. My tenderloin tips were a bit underwhelming and could have used more seasoning, but everyone else seemed happy with their meals. The beers were also a nice complement to dinner. Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. I'd definitely come back, but next time I'd probably branch out and try something different from the menu.

Its next door to the Central Market and across a parking lot from the Fulton theatre. Menu is broad-they're still strictly using a QR code presentation. Everything is tasty enough, nothing really stands out but I do have some favorites-the mac salad is worth the price of admission in itself. Food and drink prices are decent. There's a significant bar with comfortable seating and attentive friendly bartenders and Several low tables that get filled and crowded quickly because of proximity. It's a downtown staple with an option for everyone. I swear I wrote a review before but here I am again because I don't see it anywhere.

I had the buffet, which I was charged $14.99 for. Much better than the $18.00 someone else paid…read more However, I think it was still too much, given the variety of the dishes. Not very many things on the buffet, although all of them were hot. The restaurant was very clean, and the ambiance was good. The service was good, although the gentleman who was working didn't seem to have a lot of English, which may be a problem in the future. He was very kind and helpful though, which is a plus. I think this place has a lot of potential. They've JUST opened, and haven't ironed out the kinks yet. I will definitely be back. Suggestions to the owners: 1. You need a Meze/Combination platter (I think this is Lancaster County's first Middle Eastern restaurant, people don't know what the food is, they want to try it without committing to the whole dish.) Maybe do a "Pick 3 appetizers" for $11.99 or something. 2. The buffet was bland, don't Americanize the spices,we can handle the real seasonings, this isn't overly spicy for us. I was quite surprised to see that some of the dishes hadn't even been salted. 3. Maybe some fusion ME/American dishes? There is a place that does Shawarma fries in Chester County. Best of luck! I think you're on to something.

Night and day difference from the Camp Hill Location! Stopped in today for a late lunch/brunch…read moreafter an appt and we were seated promptly. Waitress was super attentive, took our orders and delivered our coffees right away. Location seems a little smaller than the Camp Hill one but runs much more efficiently. Husband opted for the GOAT omelet and potatoes, I got the 3 egg white omelet with cheese, tomatoes and spinach with mixed greens. Food was very light and refreshing, just what we were looking for. I couldn't finish all my cold brew so our waitress offered to get me a to go cup so it wouldn't go to waste. There was a wait forming as we were leaving so best to check on the app if/how long of a wait there might be but tables were being turned at a good rate to accommodate.

Our server Alex was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. My eggs Benedict looked great and the hollandaise sauce was a perfect mix of richness and tanginess with great mouthfeel and without the harshness that plagues lesser offerings. My friend had the similarly delicious avocado toast which was perfectly portioned with equal amounts of ingredients in every bite. Topped it off with fresh squeezed OJ and you have all the goods to make sure we come back here again to try some of the other items on the menu. Highly recommended!
