    a shelf of coffee beans
    Doug G.

My lady and I recently stopped at the San Francisco Bay Coffee Company, headquarter in Lincoln, CA. This was a sneak peak for us as we plan to participate in one of their organized tours later this month. This family-owned and operated coffee roaster is committed to social and environmental responsibility. Their 'No Waste' OneCup is a huge step toward potentially reducing the environmental footprint associated with single-serve coffees. Upon arrive at the huge coffee roasting operation, we found the staff to be extremely friendly, willing to share information and answer questions. We were provided with coffee samples and end up buying a large bag of the whole bean, French Roast. We have been enjoying it daily since our visit. Very much looking forward to the coffee plant tour in the near future.

Variety box and NO Plastic!!. All plant based comparable materials. I live the look of these pods in my big glass jar.

You will really notice the difference between them and other places. There are a number of tea and other drink options. It tasted exactly like a blueberry waffle. It was a good mild flavor but did not have enough caffeine for me. Because it is in a random spot of Roseville I'm not sure if this is a place I would go out of my way for but if you are near the shop you can get your weekly beans here!

The customer service is next level ( Tony & Jennitse: she has the most amazingly white teeth), I have made me feel welcome each and every time I have visited the location. The ambience is perfectly executed. It is modern and sleek, and the brilliant addition of swinging seats gives the space a unique, beautiful vibe that really sets it apart from your average café. Now, onto the food and drinks. The coffee is exceptional, and the pastries are honestly amongst the best I've ever had. What really blew me away is the value. Both the coffee and pastries are affordably priced, which is incredibly rare these days. And as a 6'5", 260-pound guy with a muscular frame who definitely knows how to eat, I don't say this lightly: the portion sizes here are far above average! You absolutely get your money's worth. To top it all off, the owner is sweet, smart, and undeniably attractive, bringing a wonderful energy to the whole operation. If you are anywhere near Roseville, do yourself a favor and check this place out. It hits every single mark!

Ordered an ice tea that took about 15 minutes or more to make. Feeling frustrated so I checked out the baked goods while I waited. I noticed fruit flies in the class case with the food. I did tell the 3 girls working behind the counter very discreetly about it. As I watched the employees because again I waited for what seemed like an eternity for a black iced tea that was supposed to be infused with rose petals. The most basic tasting tea I've ever had. I ordered a large. It was a very small cup but whatever. Disappointed to say the least. 2 of the 3 employees working just seemed to do nothing but walk in circles while the 3rd seemed to be doing the most. I will say that it seems like a spot to work on one's laptop and several people were just enjoying themselves having conversations. The place is very pretty. So maybe I was just in a mood but to wait for so long for a basic drink was disappointing. And the drink itself was nothing special. It was only 4.50. I tipped 3. In hindsight I would not have tipped at all. Man, I sound like such a miserable Karen but doing so here makes me feel better.

She chose Carpenter coffee roasters which is a small local coffee truck right off Elk Florin. We parked and walked up to the truck. I was hesitant because of the small menu, but don't let that fool you because the coffee they use is really REALLY GOOD! We ordered an iced vanilla latte and an iced white mocha. I usually stay away from drinks with dairy (lactose intolerant, LOL) but my daughter ordered my drink and gave me the: "just try it" look. And boy was she right! The coffee they use cuts through but the white chocolate created a smooth creamy aftertaste. Soooo good! Both beans were clean, intentional, and actually distinct, which is the whole point of a pour over. The Papua New Guinea was smooth with soft chocolate notes, balanced and easy without feeling boring. The Bali brought more brightness with a citrus edge that gave it some energy.
