Shockingly, I was proactively contacted by a staff member who told me my usual order was due to be refilled and the order placed with anticipated shipout a few days later....fast forward to 11 days later as I called to find out where my supplies were and the employee who finally answered the phone had to put me on hold multiple times only to tell me there was no available supervisor nor any notes about them calling me but finally she said "we're still waiting for the authorization" and instructed me to call my insurance and doctor. Once again, SG Homecare/Stance fails to communicate anything with their customers and requires the customers to do all of their follow up work. I should be reimbursed for all the work I do on their behalf. This place never fails to fail. I'm trying to make arrangements to pick up a home sleep test. I called on 5/16. After waiting for 10 minutes, I tried the other number for text messaging. I got a reply that my message was forwarded to the Respiratory dept. I got a reply on 5/19 instructing me on how to return HST which I'm yet to pick up. I followed up on 5/20 and today and haven't gotten a reply. Text messaging was supposed to ensure faster service. I wonder what their definition of fast is. Unfortunately, I feel stuck with them as this is my insurance's referral. I'll call my doctor to see if there are alternatives. read more

Father-in-law waiting for portable Oxygen to be delivered at bedside before discharge and oxygen to be delivered at home for safe discharge - however, this place is so poorly ran - and lacks management who can carefully coordinate and deliver what patients - who are SICK need and require. Their call team (I would never call it customer service) lacks direction and oversight of their inept delivery people who have no bedside or customer service skills whatsoever. I won't go into details about just how miserable their customer service is or the ungodly wait times. I do have a solution! Tired of waiting 20, 30 or 45 minutes? Sometimes longer just to be put on hold again or told some story about why they need to call you back - which they almost never do? To bypass that initial wait time, when using the menu options, choose the option to pay your invoice. You will be talking to a customer rep within 5 minutes. Sure, they'll probably transfer you (or just hang up). But be sure to ask for a more direct number to whatever location or department you want to speak to. I am a long-term COVID survivor needing oxygen therapy. I had PPO insurance before and recently had an insurance provider changed to HMO and that is when I've been referred to SG Homecare. Wow, I really found out how good my former Oxygen (DME) service was. SG Homecare's list of horror includes... 1st - call wait time was just horrible, never got through to a live agent once in 30 days. I left a phone number to be contacted back and they start communication with me via text message (OK at least I got my supplies this way) 2nd - they are limited on what they can provide to me (less number of tanks, only one size of tanks, lack of giving alternate valves) = less choice and limited choice. 3rd - they delivered the wrong capacity oxygen machine, even after discussing and confirming with the ordering agent that I needed a 10L machine they deliver 5L. 4th - for me they only delivered to me on Friday every week. I had a choice with a previous supplier. 5th - even on Friday, never kept time 6th - I terminated services with them and they made two appointments with me to pick up their equipment and never showed up. So what did I do, I called my insurance broker and changed to none-HMO insurance thanks to SG Homecare. Yes, I need to pay more to get none-HMO. Even if I need to pay more money, I am so glad that I do not have to deal with SG Homecare for my oxygen needs. The only reason that I leave negative comments is to help those who are considering insurance that uses DME (Durable Medical Equipment). The company is quick to deliver hospital bed but with no call at 820pm at night. Didn't fully set up the bed and had to come back. Then my mom was readmitted into hospital and they refused to answer so many calls and then said they won't come to pick up until 5 more days....why so they can bill Medicare for extra days?! I had made an appointment with the Anaheim office back in May to meet with a specific Orthotist. At that time they informed me I was all clear and made the appointment for June 26 2024. I arrived for my appointment and they tried to have me meet with someone different than I had made the appointment with. They informed me that the person I had made the appointment with had to leave the office instead of rescheduling my appointment. I had to reschedule for July 2nd. My wife had hip replacement surgery on May 7, 2024. A walker was to be delivered the next day. As of yet we have not received it. Several conversations have resulted in excuses such as WE did not communicate with them, we did not pay a copay (never communicated to us!), "Please bear with us", etc. It now is promised to us by "end of the week" , 10 days after after surgery. They overcharged us and would not reverse the charge even though my insurance company said that I had no co-pay or co-insurance due. They tasked me with addressing the problem with the HMO Optum. I called Optum 4x and they never fixed it either. The statement didn't specify the original cost and the new cost that they stated the insurance required me to pay. Thier accounting system is flawed and unprofessional as well as their staff and dishonest business practices. Suddenly SG sent it to collections. There was no warning or Final Notice. Their customer service is continually the worst I've ever had in any business anywhere. They speak disrespectfullyand they hang up when they don't like what they are hearing from you. They tell you they will call you back and they never do. This company is terrible. I only use it because it's forced on me by my health insurance. It took 2 months to fulfill my doctor's prescription for a CPAP machine because they kept coming back with missed items to be ordered. They don't seem to have a standard checklist for my doctor to order! Each missed item took 2 weeks (!) to go through approval. When everything was ready to be delivered, they asked me to specify my mask size. They only emailed me a diagram to be printed, cut out, and measured on the face. So of course the delivered mask size was too small. I had to come to their office, where my mask was replaced with the next bigger size. I didn't know if it would fit, because it was sealed! Then the mask keeps leaking 2 hours into my sleep. You can't call for advice. You can only watch videos which are not at all helpful. I ask to make an appointment with a respiratory therapist, and they say you can only walk in on Mondays and Fridays. No appointments! I walk in, and have to wait for 2 hours! It turns out this company services patients almost completely online only. Customer service works from home from different locations. To add insult to injury, the COAP machine is on a 12-month "rental" when you get it, though my insurance pays $0 copay. read more
