This is the essential stop for the all American dinner and diner and breakfast and family meal. My buddy and I dropped in without much research, only noticed good ratings for this small town restaurant serving breakfast all day with a huge menu, had to try. Found a pleasant and clean atmosphere, feeling both new and vintage at the same time, breakfast was on his mind but I was drawn to the Reuben. We both had big wins. This smart staff kept things moving and both dishes, and then mine, showed up quick enough. Pancakes, omelet, and my Reuben was fantastic. I could complain about such a lovely plastic going red dye number forty with the dressing but small potatoes. Unlike the feast across the table! He couldn't finish it all even after doing a serious bike race hours earlier that day! I found myself smashing through the second best Reuben, after my top rated Town and Gown in my Lafayette, Indiana. Rich and well roasted, generous cheese and sour kraut but not overwhelming, all held together with that good quality colorful bread, I about proposed.

We will definitely stop by the cafe the next time we are in town. The food and service were fantastic. I hadn't had a skillet in a long time and this one was delicious. There was a great ratio of grilled vegetables and sausage to the eggs with a perfect amount of hash browns. The gravy had a great texture and was tasty. What a great find!

Cozy and a nice cafe for a small town. Loved their giant homemade bowl of chicken, orzo and vegetable soup with the crispy chicken sandwich I ordered. The coleslaw was very good. Had to sample the hashbrown too. Quality food. When the relative I am staying at neighbor says they eat there daily, that means the food is good. Have to agree. If I lived here I probably will be coming here everyday as the price is very decent for the amount of food I got. When I walked in, polite and friendly waitstaff greeted me, sat down and had no problems refilling my drink throughout. Usually I have to ask but never had to throughout this dining experience. Asked questions about the menu and was able to get them answered. This is a type of restaurant that every town should have! I definely will be back for breakfast!

Not your average sized wrap! Turkey avocado, yummy coleslaw.

We also order some food to go and a buffet to go. We had 2 buffets in house. The strawberries were bomb! The mash taters and gray was yummy! The chicken noddles was so tasty (homemade too) loved the beef! Biscuits were on key. Will definitely be coming here again next time we blow on threw.

Ok. I have been to a few buffets and you have a lot of kinda warm food and not too cold stuff. Well…read morethe Country Farmhouse gets it right!! The hot items were hot. Not warm. But hot !! A couple kinds of French toast. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, country fried steak, bacon, ham, corned beef hash, lots of potato casseroles, waffles, two kids of French toast...it just goes on and on. And then you have a full salad area with fresh fruit !! Oh and did I mention an entire buffet of pastries? Donuts, cinnamon rolls, danishes, muffins. It just kept going !!! Everything was fresh and replenished and delicious. The only thing I'd pass on was the Bloody Mary bar. Not a lot of stuffs. Cold chicken nuggets, bacon, green olives, some sad pickle spears, lemon wedges, celery, kielbasa, that was pretty much it. Would Have like to have seen cheese cubes or maybe some shrimp. But it was not bad, just nothing to write home about. All in all for 20.00 a person for food (I don't remember what the bloody bar was) it was a good deal. And they do it daily, not just on the weekends!!!
