The red curtains outside looked nice, but they kept blowing into our table while we were eating. Once they were tied back, they still flapped around quite a bit and unfortunately blocked much of the mountain view. The patio chairs are also metal and not the most comfortable--I ended up using my jacket as a cushion. We started with the vegetable samosas, and they were excellent. They came with two different chutneys, both of which were delicious. For our entrées, we ordered an eggplant dish with rice and onion naan. The flavors were wonderful, and the medium spice level was just right--enough heat to be interesting without overwhelming the dish. The only downside was that both the eggplant and the naan were much oilier than I prefer. In hindsight, I would ask for the naan without butter next time, as the richness was a bit much for me. The wine list was fairly limited. I sampled a couple before settling on a Burgundy Pinot Noir, which was enjoyable but felt overpriced at $20 for a relatively small pour. The service was friendly, but it felt a little disjointed. Several different people stopped by our table throughout the meal, and while everyone was attentive, the frequent interruptions made the experience feel a bit less relaxed. Overall, the food was flavorful and enjoyable, and I would happily eat here again if I were in the area. While it probably wouldn't be a destination restaurant for me, it's a solid choice for good Indian food in Park City.

Kevin the owner of Shabu is the worst, most disrespectful human! Please avoid this restaurant! He was drunk as fuck or on drugs and abusing my bachelorette group of girls! The restaurant had some mixup with the card that was already on file for a pre fixe menu and he called us and yelled at us about us not paying for our bill and saying we were the most complicated group of girls. We were STILL sitting outside for dinner and not once did anyone come to us to complain about this. So then the owner Kevin comes out literally screaming at all of us girls, cursing us out and as we're trying to explain that we never even got the bill yet and we were not aware of any issues with cards on file. He completely snapped at us and told us to get out and called us "gunk" in front of others. We did absolutely nothing lol and were happy to pay. He was completely out of his senses, drunk off his ass and went off on us. Under any circumstances, the OWNER should NEVER talk to a group of women with so much disrespect. The servers were fantastic, the food was mediocre but the owner was an absolute asshole. PLEASE AVOID. Spend your time and money elsewhere! Anywhere but here. I will be reporting this guy. We really thought he was going to throw a punch at a group of us girls. I have no clue how he is running this restaurant. I feel bad for the servers that said themselves that he gets "hot headed" sometimes. I wonder how he treats them! If you don't want to ruin your day, please go somewhere else! Terrible establishment! I would give zero stars, but Yelp makes you put at least one. Shabu offered the worst dining experience I have ever had. Once sat our table waited 20 minutes before finally asking the host where our server was. The server was unapologetic even though the table next to us was sat later and were already on their 2nd round of drinks. Our drinks were late and it took another 30 minutes before the server was back for our order. After ordering another 30 minutes passed w/o sign of our server. We approached the host, who turned out to be co-owner, Kevin, and this is when the night went completely sour. Instead of a simple, "I am sorry and will do everything I can to correct the situation," Kevin was extremely rude and tried blamed us for the slow service. He cussed at us numerous times before we asked him to leave our table. Against our better judgement we chose to stay, finish the meal, put the poor service out of our mind and enjoy our company. Fortunalely two servers saw the horrible display put on by their owner and picked the service up serveral notches which we greatly appreciated. Upon leaving I explained our situation to the hostess so that she could relay our encounter onto the other owner and instead of receiving an, "I am sorry and I'll be sure to pass this on," I got, "it sounds like you are a dick and can leave!" I picked my jaw up off the floor and left knowing that these are not people you can talk to. I would go hungry before returning to this restaurant. The food was mediocre at best. read more

I had a very odd experience with Shabu when I ordered delivery from them through a third-party delivery service (Speedy Fernandez). I looked up Shabu's menu from Shabu's own website and ordered two tofu ramen soups for $13 each and a couple of other things through the service. When the food was delivered, the bill seemed quite high so we called Shabu to see what they had charged Speedy for the food. As it turns out, the person on the phone told me that their tofu ramen was $25 (!!) each and that was what they had charged Speedy. When I told her that wasn't what the online menu said the price was, she handed me to her manager (I think it was the manager) who was totally rude and unhelpful. He "read" from his own menu and told me I was looking at a menu he had never heard of. I told him I was looking directly at the menu on shabuparkcity.com AND the menu linked through Yelp and he basically told me I was crazy, that he was "looking at the same thing" and that it lists the price as $25. I'm not crazy, he wasn't looking at the website, and I have included here screenshots from the menu. I really don't consider myself cheap and believe that a restaurant is totally within its own right to charge $25 for tofu ramen if it wants, but a price jump to double the amount shown online is a huge mistake and this manager did absolutely nothing to make things better. The ramen and the rest of the food was very good, but the experience of ordering from this place was shady shady shady. Beware. read more

Local of 33 years - deeply disappointed I've lived in Park City for 33 years, and I can honestly say I have never been treated with the attitude I experienced at Shabu tonight. It is November 21st, 2025--true shoulder season--yet we were greeted with, "Maybe we can fit you in... if you can be finished within an hour." There were multiple open tables around us, and nothing about the room suggested they were slammed or understaffed. Even if they were busy, it's never acceptable to rush guests or make them feel like an inconvenience. Especially not locals who have supported this community for decades. As a realtor, I bring a lot of clients to restaurants in town, and Shabu has always been one I've recommended. That will not be the case anymore. I've always respected this place and I know the owners, Kevin and his brother, which makes writing this even more disappointing. But I can't in good conscience send clients or friends somewhere they might be treated the same way. I spent nearly $400 on dinner--not including tip--and was treated like I/we were a burden from the moment we walked in. No guest should ever feel that way. I truly hope management takes this seriously. Park City thrives on hospitality, and tonight that part was completely missing. read more

This is the first time I've been compelled to write a Yelp review. Let's just say that my beyond-positive experience at Shabu is the reason why. The sushi was incredible (I'm Hawaiian - and live in Seattle, so I know a few things about quality raw fish). Also, they offer $25 off when you spend $75 - which is unheard of in my world. Shabu -- thanks for the amazing evening - great service, phenomenal fish (they even had fresh toro) and affordable. Also, I would highly recommend the waygu beef hot rock as an addition to the sushi. read more

I am a fellow restaurant in Parkcity... This is the best restaurant in terms of quality and uniqueness. If you're lucky enough to get into this place, you're in for a tree on top of the quality and greatness is pricing similar to four years ago KEVIN and his brother had absolutely done an amazing job moving to Park City decades ago from Chicago Just to be able to slide down the hill on their skis. I started out with Blistered Greens and Firecracker Shrimp. They both were fantastic. I am a chow boy and was tempted to get another round of both before my meal but I controlled myself.
