    Yellow Widow and The Costa
    Daryl K.

We had made a reservation just in case because we heard it's usually pretty busy, it is a small space so reservations definitely make it easier. Our group all ordered sushi rolls and some sake. The rolls I had were pretty good and some different flavors from some I usually have. Really enjoyed the cilantro in the Cost roll and then the yellow widow had a hint of citrus with almost like a lemon zest. Both rolls were a refreshing taste and full of favor. The service was good as well, our waiter was more than patient as we tried to figure out drinks and food and offered info as we asked. Would definitely come back!

Make reservations early because dinner time usually has long waits, especially on weekends. Once we got our table, our waiter was friendly and made sure we had our drinks filled and quickly brought out our food when it was ready, given the busy night. We really enjoyed every dish that came out. My bf had the sushi, and I had the wagu as my main meal. We shared the stuffed dates and pot stickers with our friends. All was delicious and gone by the end of the night. We would come again but will know to make reservations ahead of time.

The food was great and delicious. Sadly, the service was insane. I have never experienced such a rude waiter. We dined here for our nicest meal on our bachelorette trip. Our server, Matthew J, was incredibly rude. We thought maybe he's just a rude guy in general, but he was laughing and having a great time with everyone else. We were not loud, not disrespectful, and are a very nice crew so there was no reason for him to be rude off the jump. He and the hostess would stare at us and laugh, obviously talking about us. He told us to share meals so it wouldn't be so hard for him, when asked about the mochi dessert flavors he said "idk, the normal ones?". He did not give us a dessert menu so we wanted to know what we would be ordering but he seemed to think that was a waste of his time. I honestly thought tip was going to be included because I had no other ideas on why he would be such an awful server to a big group of people who would be tipping him. It was also not just the dessert questions, but staring at us and walking away when we asked for anything as if his job was not to serve us. He took my friend's plate from her after she said she was still working on it (not listening to her). All 13 of us had our own personal experience with him being rude. We tipped him 18%, which was very generous considering he ruined our dinner. When we got up to leave, all the hostesses and workers just looked at us and looked away, not acknowledging us or saying goodbye or anything. Feels like the workers here are bullies.

    Korean BBQ Tacos

This place was amazing. Very small downstairs space that was warm and inviting. I went during Sundance so it was crowded, but it still had great service. The Korean BBQ taco meat was amazing. The taco shell was scallion pancake which I wasn't a huge fan of. Fluffy and soft. The hot rock was out of this world. I ate one course at a time and took my time eating. The rock stayed hot the entire time and cooked the wagyu perfectly. The yellowtail Jalepeno was the show stopped. Amazing quality fish and great flavor. The wait staff was amazing. Very attentive during one of the busiest weeks of the year. Highly recommend

Good sushi! The service was really great. We were able to sit outside in the summer and the vibe was really nice.

Worst sushi I have ever had. The rice is very hard and icy cold. The tempura is definitely not Japanese style.

Our waiter Billy was excellent - attentive, and gave us good guidance (and reassurance) on the menu and what we ordered! I started with the cucumber martini, very refreshing. For food, we ordered the crispy tuna tartare, wagyu bruschetta, chiller special roll, and the 2 hand rolls off the specials menu. I want to go back in time and eat it all again. Everything was excellent, but the chiller roll and wagyu bruschetta were at the top of the list. The wagyu bruschetta was the perfect blend of locally made baguette, tender wagyu beef, and drizzled pork butter. The chiller roll (Billy's favorite) was so unique and in the best way. The combination of everything worked together perfectly - including a sliver of lemon on top! Will be a must-go to spot when we are back in town.

The restaurant is located on Main Street and has plenty of space inside since it's two stories. Trish was an excellent host. She was great to talk to and made the whole visit very special for my cousin. We really appreciate her going above and beyond for our group. The sushi here is great. Very fresh and creative options. A member of our group has a sesame allergy and the staff took great care to ensure she had something good (and safe) to eat. I'll definitely be back the next time we visit Park City. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great sushi and service in PC!

We walked in and found ourselves the only couple in the entire restaurant, although folks would filter in while we were there. Since we were the only folks we sat down at the bar (we like to chat w/ staff). The place had just opened for business the week before, and they had yet to have had their 'Grand Opening'. The bar tender was nice and sociable. We got the pot stickers as an appetizer, and they were excellent. Definitely some of the best pot stickers we have ever had. they were pan fried and crispy underneath, but still a little chewy on the top. My wife's pasta was delicious, and my lamb was fantastic. It was a cut rack of lamb, and was cooked perfectly. It had some of the largest pieces for lamb I have ever seen. The temperature of all our dishes was dead on when served, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back to this place on another trip to Park City.

Now as for Tatou, you freaking impostors. Instead of bread or soup you give us a miniature bowl, that looked like a baby toy, of macaroni & chese with tuna sprinkled over it. Imitation chesse and fish, what school did you go too "Coolio's Culinary". We we're all starving for Thai and what we got was a Thanksgiving dinner. If I wanted "Stuffing" Tar-Tar I would of gone to Koo-Koo-Roo's. I ordered the Black Cod, cant go wrong there just fish with brown rice, but the brown rice was actually pilaf rice and I swear it tasted out of a rice-o-roni box. The restaurant is trying to sell an "LA" atmosphere, but the couch area in front of the bar was to small that people would end up standing in the dinning area. Seriously I have more to say but I have to finally let it go. I do want to say sorry to the owner ("Laura" I think), sorry I lied to you about the food being good. I just felt so bad because I can tell you're trying real hard to make it work, my recommendation get rid of your young cook and find one who is actually from LA.

In terms of attire, it's a mixed bag as with other places here.. we were pretty casual but some were dressed up a bit more. Our server was wonderful, and the food and drink was phenomenal. This was, hands down, the best meal we had in Park City. We started with cocktails. The gin cocktail I had was the perfect combination of floral and citrus and left me wanting more. My husband enjoyed his as well. The wine menu here is insanely overpriced, so next time I'd ask the corkage fee to consider bringing our own bottle. They brought out a bread that was cooked with a Japanese seasoning on it and a side of butter, and it was delicious. The bison was the best thing we ate; incredibly tender and cooked to perfection, if we lived here we would be back often for this. The elk was very good as well, with fresh herbs that helped bring out the flavor. Can't go wrong with either of these dishes but the bison was the star to us. My daughter ordered the kids pasta with butter and parm, and my son ordered the kids chicken fingers which came with potato wedges. Both were a good portion for children. For the sides, we ordered the Japanese sweet potatoes and the fried rice. The sweet potatoes were something different and were tasty but not our favorite or something we would order again. The fried rice with egg was delicious; it was full of sliced garlic and amazingly seasoned, we could not help but finish it all. At the time of the check, our server offered cotton candy for the kids. It was very flavorful and soft. It was a nice finishing touch. We'll definitely be booking this restaurant for our next trip to Park City.

The spicy tuna on top was really flavorful and well balanced, bringing just the right amount of heat without overpowering the dish. The miso soup was also a pleasant surprise -- the portion size was generous and perfect for sharing. It was warm, comforting, and a great start to the meal. We also ordered the karaage. Unfortunately, this was the weakest dish for me. The chicken itself didn't have much flavor, and if it weren't for the dipping sauce it would have been quite bland. It was also made with dark meat, which I'm personally not a big fan of. The hamachi nigiri was fantastic. The fish tasted incredibly fresh and clean, and the simplicity of the dish really let the quality of the hamachi shine. Another standout was the Wasatch roll -- a true dynamite roll with lots of flavor and fresh hamachi. Every bite had great texture and balance. To end the meal, everyone was given a small bowl of cotton candy, which was a fun and unexpected touch. I hadn't had cotton candy in years, and it was a playful way to finish the night. Overall, there were some great highlights, especially the sushi and fresh fish, and the experience had a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.

Their website states that they are Park City's favorite since 1995. It doesn't explicitly say what for, so I'm assuming they mean sushi (Favorite ambiance? Favorite bathrooms? The people need some clarity here). Some cursory research leads to me to believe that this is the only sushi establishment to have existed in Park City since 1995, so they're doing something right. Happy belated 30th, Oishi. You're a Millennial! To be completely transparent, I didn't do any of the ordering here (shoutout to Michael) so I don't know exactly what we had, but I was very impressed with the sushi despite what you would think based on the location. I'm not sure where they're sourcing their fatty tuna from, but each bite was a fluffy delicacy. $16 for 5 gyoza is wild, but I won't hold that against them in these trying times of gyoza-flation. I will say you're better off just ordering more sushi. I was very impressed by the ability and willingness of Oishi to sit and reasonably entertain a group of 14 ravenous adventurers. Our fellow diners were not ready for the volume to be cranked up to a different decibel once the sake bombs came out, though. Relative to other mountain town dining, Oishi deserves 5 stars. A worthy destination for your post-skiing group grub.
