We visit this restaurant often and have always loved the environment, location, and service. However, today's experience was completely different. One of the runners kept slamming plates onto his cart every time he picked them up. We weren't sure what his problem was, but it was loud and disruptive throughout our meal. We brought it to the manager's attention, and his response was simply, "Oh, he does that every time!" Really? It's hard to understand how a restaurant could condone that kind of behavior. The noise continued the entire time we were there, and it completely ruined the atmosphere we used to enjoy. I told my wife this would be our last visit. Came in for a party of two at Shabuya, and unfortunately the experience started off on a really disappointing note. I politely explained that my friend was still parking and that it was raining heavily outside. The host, Dariyon, told me we'd be seated once my friend arrived, which I completely understood and appreciated. However, despite the restaurant not being busy and no crowd waiting, I was then told I couldn't stand inside and had to wait outside--in the rain. When I pointed out that it was pouring and there was no customers, the response Dariyon said was, "I know." He could've been more professional and understand that outside was pouring heavily. Maybe Dariyon could have said, "No worries you can wait here but if customers come in, we would have to have you stand somewhere else." When I said, "it is raining outside", Dariyon said, "I know." What kind of customer service is this? That lack of basic consideration was honestly shocking. First impressions matter, and being told to stand outside in bad rain--especially when there was clearly space inside--felt dismissive and unwelcoming. It made me question how customers are treated here overall. Unfortunately, this interaction left a very negative impression, and based on this experience, I would have to say don't expect a nice experience here, better off going to a different hotpot! read more

Best hot pot experience. Great for big parties or gathering with friends. Everyone gets their own soup bowl and add in your own goodies. So much variety of noodles, meats, seafood, veggies, and sauces. It feels a little overwhelming if it's your first time but after a few times you will be a pro! Pro tip: Bring a sweater or jacket cause it gets cold inside. Pro tip: Don't go on weekends at 6pm. You'll set yourself up for a long wait time. This place has gone down hill. We used to love coming here but the past few years has gotten worse and worse. Their broths are just plain salty. They got rid of the wagyu meat and enoki mushrooms. No spicy option in the sauce section. Their paging system doesn't work. Twice we received confirmation we were on que but did not get notification that our table was ready. When we checked, we got an attitude saying they texted us x amount of time ago and gave away your table. Another time my husband went in line as I was finishing up a purchase by the fountain. They gave up our table because they cannot wait 2 minutes. Last and final straw, we came with my daughters, front person took my young daughter's measurement and said she's half off. Great, we start eating. The 2 daughters were done and wanted to go to world market. They left. We get the bill, young daughter is not 1/2 off. We ask our server, he said we need to remeasure your child. Both daughters were already at Dave and buster. We didn't want to argue so we just pay. My second time here, was probably better than the first time. I came here for a birthday dinner with my two sons and the service that I received was actually really great. The only downside is I don't like the fact that I have to call him over every time I needed something but in terms of meat, he did keep it coming. Towards the end, I felt a little rushed in. My soup was not refilled, even though I still had time left. Minus a star for both of those things but otherwise I felt like the price was pretty reasonable and the music is not super loud so you can enjoy a conversation while you're eating. The salad bar/other food looks very disgusting with no one cleaning the station and everything looks frozen and bad quality. I like their fried chicken though. This was my first time at this restaurant so my daughter had to orient me. Basically, you order your broth and any appetizers, then you grab a plate and pick all your veggies, noodles, seafood, and any sauces. I like the variety of choices, there were about 5 different noodle choices, many vegetables like spinach, corn cobs, bean sprouts, and so much more. I loved the mussels with the broth - sooo flavorful and good. The corn cobs were a yummy added touch. I chose the sukiyaki broth - delicious! Appetizers were also good. We tried the Soy-Glazed Chicken Karaage and the Volcano Chicken Karaage - both yummy. Favorite meat choices were the flat iron steak, rib eye, and pork shoulder. Great restaurant. It's all you can eat, and it's reasonably priced for what you get. From what I heard, it can get very crowded and sometimes the wait can be over an hour long. Thankfully, each table has an hour and a half time limit which is plenty of time to get your monies worth. One of our favorite hot pot spot!! Since it was Friday, we decided to have an early dinner to avoid the dinner traffic. The restaurant was getting packed when we arrived around 5:20pm. The host checked us in and took our phone number down. He told us it would be a 20min wait, but they pinged us within 10mins. They sat us at a corner front booth near the front window. Perfect table! Our server came by quickly and greeted us. She took our drink, soup selection, appetizers, and meat choices. She was very friendly and attentive the entire time. The restaurant played great music and is on the moderate and louder side. But great ambiance to eat, mingle, and to sing along the music. They have a buffet style stand in the middle of the restaurant where you can choose your vegetables, noodles, seafood, and make your own sauce. Food was good, as always. Service was fantastic.
