I hate to be the person to leave a bad review, but people falling for five stars need to understand…read morewhat a horrible experience I had with this company. I was in an option period and my initial inspection flagged major foundation and structural issues with the home at Friday at 6pm. I was referred to other companies, but they were closed over the weekend. Googled companies and came across GreenWorks. rep not only said they can accomplish a full evaluation of both downstairs and upstairs, but also share estimates on price and come on that Sunday. With the option period ending the following Friday , I had felt I had to take a chance on them considering they said they can give me what I was asking for. Sunday comes and I reconfirm with the engineer in person my asks: evaluate downstairs and upstairs and give me a cost for repairs. Not once was I stopped to clarify if they could actually do the work requested. They had no problem accepting my $900. Fast forward to the end of day 3 (Wednesday) and after several calls emphasizing any expedited request I get the report, only to find upstairs was not evaluated and there was no cost repair plan (they claimed it would come within 24 hours). 48 hours to decide on moving forward on a home, and I wasted those days to not get the full answers. Called 4 times between end of Wednesday and Thursday asking to speak to a manager and every time they told me they'd call me back asap. Never once got a call back. MY FIFTH TIME calling, I get on the line with a customer support rep, not a manager. I'm then told that evaluation of upstairs was not part of the deal, and that no estimate was promised in my proposal and they will not be sending estimated cost (it literally showed in the email a "cost repair" link) I burned Sunday-Thursday waiting for something they refused to acknowledge they told me they could do, had to hire another company to come out and they gave me rough estimates within the same day. Not only that, they "worked" towards getting me a full refund, then the following week said best they can do is $300 because there's no "proof" that they confirmed price and upstairs evaluation. Do not use this company. Incredibly frustrating experience all around and zero accountability. I've advised all my contacts in the real estate industry to put them on a "do not use list".

They were very professional and thorough with their process. John arrived precisely on time and explained every step throughout the process. At the end of the inspection, he gave a very clear and honest explanation of the results and then followed up with a very thorough technical report a few days later. I particularly appreciated their approach because they are not trying to sell a follow-on product or upsell anything. They simple perform the inspection and then provide an honest and complete assessment of the results. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone that needs a thorough and honest assessment.

He used a ziplevel to measure the building elevations and gave us with a verbal summary when he finished. Jeff was professionally dressed and spoke clearly without being too technical. He was referred to me by some other home inspectors and he did not disappoint. His pricing was lower than another company we had quote, buy Jeff was more personable and the quality of work seems identical. Afterward, he walk with us through the building to check five areas where we were concerned about potential foundation issues. Jeff told us that the foundation was in good shape and did not need repairs. He recommended moving forward with some planned masonry work. One of our church members, an architect, sat in and seemed satisfied with Jeff's assessment as well. I plan to refer Trinity to my own clients for foundation inspections.

He told me he couldn't inspect the foundation because he was "too old and too fat". Since I didn't really need that, I scheduled him for the next day. He showed up and I asked if he needed anything from me, he said no, so he got started. About an hour later, he comes up to me and says, "I'm going to call it." I said, "What?" He said, yeah, I can't inspect it. I've already gotten 222 deficiencies and I can only inspect "habitable houses". I said, "Well, I'm not going to live here, I'm remodeling it and renting it out and need to know what those are before I close on it." He said, 'Yeah, well. Sorry." Then he walked out. VERY BIZARRE guy. Of course he could have inspected it he just was too lazy to or felt he wasn't charging enough or something else. I would NOT rely on this guy to give you a good inspection, that is, if he actually finishes it.

His fee was very reasonable. My inspection was performed at the time i requested and it was thorough. He even came back the next day to finish the inspection for a very small fee. Would highly recommend Greybeard.

HIGHEST PROFESSIONALISM, COMPETENCE, CUSTOMER CONCERN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!…read more I experienced a horror of a plumbing valve failure and resulting extensive water damage - with succeeding extended harangue with valve seller. Upshot was mold damage at my home, in addition to everything else. M.J. Parrish was wonderfully courteous and sympathetic on taking my call and scheduling my appointment (for the next day). Michael Mitchell came out and went above and beyond to perform a very well-thought-out and thorough inspection and testing. He was careful all along the way to (i) make sure he understood all of my concerns, (ii) explain just what he was doing and why, (iii) answer my questions, and (iv) explain the process that would follow. The inspection report and lab test results I received (VERY PROMPTLY, just as promised) were detailed, thorough, easy to understand, and very informative. The included recommended mold remediation protocol was also easy to understand, and very detailed and specific, down to specifying exactly which products/ supplies, etc. should be used and what processes should be applied., with good instructions. Texas Mold Inspection Services was a TERRIFIC EXPERIENCE - particularly as compared to my experience just a year ago with hiring a mold inspection/ testing service in Boulder, CO, where my son had fallen horribly ill from a mold exposure in a nasty apartment complex. The report I received from that CO company (for the same charge as TMIS - $600) was minimal; it consisted of only a computer software generated generic form, with just a few blanks filled in, mold lab results also very skimpy and generic, a very vague conclusion, other than recommendation for a lot more testing (i.e., running up a lot more fees), and no remediation protocol. In stark contrast to that crummy CO company, in my experience with TEXAS MOLD INSPECTION SERVICES they demonstrated themselves to be a FIRST CLASS OPERATION ALL THE WAY. I am now working with a remediation company to have the corrective work performed, and these guys also think highly of TMIS. Bravo to a terrific company!
