The quality of the matcha was not good. I stopped by because they had a promotion on the matcha but it was not good unfortunately.

They have unique drink and dessert menu. The decor is very posh and comfy. It is very warm inside, warmer inside than outside and there is no fans. Service was fast and pleasant. I enjoyed the hibiscus w/m tea (melon). refreshing and delicious.

I absolutely loved this cafe! Super robust menu with many treats and coffee flavors. The space itself has very cute decor and a lot of seating. The music was very relaxing, it seemed like a great place to study or get work done. The Spanish latte was very good, I appreciated how hot it was (I like my coffee hot!). The Dubai chocolate crepe was incredible, it had a lot of chocolate sauce which was appreciated.

Very cute and clean place. Great customer service. I got pistachio blended and lotus blended and it's very good. The pistachio is very creamy. The lotus drink also good. I also got the Dubai strawberry and it's very yummy. I like that the strawberry still crunch and not got burn/soft by hot chocolate. There are a lot of big pistachio crunch as well.

So far, not too bad. I got the Dubai crepe; shared it between 3 people and that was enough! The crepe was good. The strawberries and bananas tasted fresh. They have some flavored lattes that I would love to try next time. The place itself was clean and spacious. Server was friendly.

Good cafe with tasty drinks and great desserts. However, I wouldn't call it 5 stars because the price doesn't quite match the quality I've had better elsewhere. That said, I'd still come back and would recommend it to others.

We stumbled upon this lovely coffee shop and what a delightful time we had. So it says it has Dubai roots and there are some items in the menu with some Dubai influence. So, we tried the Dubai croissant. Interesting and enjoyable. We had a cappuccino and a regular coffee. Well, 100 points of the coffee, it was great! Service was good. I guess the basics nowadays. You order at the register, pay, and they bring your order to your table. Ambiance was lovely. This place is small and charming and with lovely music. If you are in the area, give them a try, and share your experiences. You will love it.

I visited in the evening time and was delightfully surprised to see a bunch of women of all ages spending quality time together in the cafe on a Friday evening! The place is a beautifully decorated ambiance with a peaceful and friendly atmosphere! I ordered a pistachio latte with almond milk and tried some of the little chocolate cakes from the pastry display and everything was delicious. Friendly service and quick turnaround time as well.

Fantastically delicious Dubai crepe. There are not a lot of savory options, so this place is great for your sweet tooth. Indoor wearing available. Weekend hours are not for early morning coffee drinkers.

Shaghf Cafe finds it origin in Dubai. Apparently, they are a beloved chain in Dubai with only a few location in the United States, including not this one here in El Cajon, California. They offer a variety of espresso based beverages and refreshers, not to mention frappes, but I decided on a iced pistachio latte simply because it sounded good, and good it was. Actually, it tasted great. I liked the flavor of the coffee. The coffee actually comes from Dubai and it is a great roast. The flavor of the coffee was up front and personal and delicious. The pistachio was more subtle and offered hints of it towards the end. It was very well balanced in my opinion. I hear that it is as delicious hot. They offer a melee of delicious looking desserts, acai bows, and pastries. There's a good amount of comfortable inside seating. The service was very friendly. The young lady at the counter was sweet and quite informative. I look forward to returning.

Super friendly staff and plenty of parking. I went on a Saturday morning right when they opened, and it wasn't too busy. I had a latte and a pistachio croissant, which was really good--not overly sweet, just the right balance. The vibe was really cool too. The only thing I'd suggest improving is the cutlery; the plastic knife and fork made it a bit tricky to cut the croissant. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend this spot!

We only had two coffees and shared a pistachio croissant so consider the rating a mere estimate. The capp and Americano were very good. The croissant was very large, covered with pistachio sweet cream and a sprinkle of chopped pistachios. At first it was too sweet for my taste but it grew on me. The place is comfortable and fairly busy. The woman who took orders at the counter doubled as the server. The coffees and food arrived slightly slower than expected out of the kitchen. Another customer came over to inquire in a friendly way if we, obviously not Arabs, were enjoying it and describing his own long journey from Bagdad to Europe to Canada to Oracle San Jose and US citizenship. We look forward to trying more of the dessert choices.

@shaghf.sandiego is a recently open cafe in @elcajon.city, the vibe is so cozy and spacious, i got to try their Dubai chocolate crepe, Knowing myself that i'm not a fan of Dubai chocolate but this crepe was an absolute love, the level of sweetness was right on point, the stuffed kunafa was generously added in.

Overall if you are in the area and need a comfortable place to work, this spot has you covered. The staff is generally nice and the prices are fair. A two shot latte with oatmilk is just under 6 dollars, so expect to pay a little bit for the quality. read more

Great ambiance and the staff was so sweet! They did not even have the crepes on the menu yet but when I asked about it they gladly made it. Everything was very good and indulgent. My favorite was the Habibi latte and the Dubai croissant. The crepes were also very tasty but definitely a lot to eat by yourself. I think it's very shareable plate and l love the addition of the fresh strawberries. I couldn't choose between the Dubai strawberries or the crepes and this gave me the best of both worlds. Stopped by this cafe today while they're still in soft opening phase. We had an Açaí bowl and a pistachio frappe, they both tasted very good. Needless to say, El Cajon needed a place like this! Will return again to try more stuff off the menu. read more

Amazing place to get delicious coffee and study! They're so nice, I order a pumpkin spice iced latte and I forgot to say no whipped cream so I got one with whipped cream. They bring it to your table. He asked if I didn't want it with whipped cream and if he should remake it. I said no it's okay I can have it like this. I was to shy and didn't want to trouble him to remake it. Came here with my sister to try it out. Had a pistachio latte. Soooo delicious. My sister had the Habibi coffee which was a take on a classic latte and order two strawberry banana smoothies came in two containers and had a chocolate pistachio croissant which she said was amazing. I got the Dubai chocolate bar. I would give that a 7/10 but was definitely fun to try. Would definitely come back!! read more

I go here sometimes to study and get some work done. They have free Wifi and I think it was the owner (I'm not sure) but he was so friendly and so welcoming. All other staff are not as welcoming though but that's alright, they're not mean either. The ambiance and aesthetic of the place is quite impressive. Definitely worth an Instagram post and their Furnitures are pretty bougie and comfortable. I have to say, I get the Habibi Coffee and it's delicious. You can tell it's a high-quality coffee bean & taste amazing. Not too overpowering sweetness at all, just how I like my coffee usually. Minus 1 star because for a 12oz iced latte, it's pretty expensive $7. I get that for a 16oz but damn. I'll still come back though when I'm feeling rich :P read more

First of all the ambiance is comfortable with a cool vibe, I was obsessed with the smell of the cafe, sounds random but it was a scent that I don't know but loved, I don't know if it was pumped in or incense or what but it was so nice. Okay so the drinks were amazing, my husband got a pistachio coffee and I got a coconut one, and oh my so good. Finally, we got a pistachio chocolate croissant and it was HUGE for one and delicious! Wow... I love this place. I've probably been here over 15 times just do sit and do work. The inside is so roomy, well kept, and very cute. They've got wifi, outlets, and a restroom! They also have an extensive coffee and dessert menu, the coffee is never disappointing. Every latte Ive had has been bliss! Especially the kinder latte, its true that the portion size of their drink is quite small for the expensive price point, but its yummy! I also tried the kinder balls off their dessert menu, its doughy heaven. So delicious. Overall, I love doing work here, and their customer service is top tier, they're so hospitable. No savory food offered here though, so grab lunch before you head inside. read more

Firstly the inside is very clean and sleek. Service was very nice. The guy at the counter noticed it was out first time and helped us pick a good iced coffee drink to try. For drinks we got the date latte and pistachio latte. The date latte was very sweet but absolutely delicious. The coffee itself has a lovely nutty flavor and tastes very high quality. One of the best I've ever tried. The pistachio latte was less sweet but just as delicious. My only complaint is sometimes the pistachio chunks at the bottom clogged my straw and made it hard to drink. Maybe a boba straw situation would fix this? For food we got the Dubai croissant and a little chocolate cake. Both were absolutely delicious. The cake was unique like nothing I ever tried before. It was expensive yes, but the experience of eating it was so worth it. Almost whipped and marshmallowy with chocolate cake in the center. Kinda a jiggly texture. The hazelnuts added a lovely touch. The croissant was loaded with chocolate on top and the crispy filo filling was so good! I don't have anything to compare it to though as I've never tried any "Dubai" treats before. If you haven't tried before absolutely go do so! Make sure you try a coffee while you're there! read more

I left this place less than 10 minutes ago and the Dubai strawberries cup didn't even make it home!! I know Dubai chocolate desserts are trending now so I finally had to see what all the fuss was about in this place did not disappoint!! it's actually not so great that I live so close by lol it's gonna be a problem! I will definitely be back! Also customer service was so nice, they were so helpful recommending me things to try in the future! read more

It was my first time as a new customer in the shop I came around evening time. I came in was greeted nicely and thought everything was gonna be amazing. We ordered three drinks and two pastries. I've been to all the coffee shops all around the world when a customer doesn't like the drink and asks the staff to remake it they would do that with no problems. This staff was the only staff I've seen talk back and began to argue with the customer. It was a simple request I made for the latte to be remade. They began to laugh and talk back to me. Claiming something about a loss of money. The refund policy does not refund the whole drink you only got partial refund. I never saw an associate who claimed she is manager giving dirty looks, laughing, and has bad customer service this way just because I asked her to remake my drink. Probably first and last time and I don't really recommend this shop or anyone to come and try hot drinks/lattes. They clearly don't make design on the coffees and don't remake drinks if the customer isn't satisfied. read more
