The best mithai in New York! They offer a great variety, and everything is always incredibly fresh. The owner is very warm and welcoming with genuine hospitality. Whether you're a regular or a first time visitor, you'll feel right at home.

Omggggg their desi sweets are sooooo good. Shaheen sweets is located in New York but ship everywhere in America. This is the real deal for meethai (that means sweets). If you love Desi sweets of any kind, you will find them here. They have sweets like: barfi, laado, gulab jamun, habshi halwa etc. I enjoyed everything that I ordered. We ordered combined over 52 pounds of meethai for FL and relatives in VA and NY. The owner Tariq sahib, is a very nice gentleman who knows his meethai. He gave us a ton of choices while we were figuring out what we wanted to order. The meethai came in 1 pound boxes and was nicely wrapped. Our families loved the meethai and this place is considered one of the best in the U.S. Living in FL we have nothing like this and I'm glad I can order it from Shaheen and get it shipped to FL. Happy sweet eating and try this desi deliciousness of sweetness. . In their website they have different promos to try variety of sweets. ~

This place has amazing mithai! Some of the best I've tried in America! They ship to your home, we live three hours from this place but they still shipped! And the food was very fresh when it was delivered

I don't do reviews often, but when I do it's always a 10/10 experience. From the owner making me feel as if I'm family,to the sweets being the best Indian sweets I've ever had. Sweets are ordered to go,however I did enjoy a really nice conversation with the owner. Will definitely be returning.

Mix box. Has some fog from the freshness.

Pakistani sweets/mithai/snack shop. The owner is very nice and the sweets are amazing. I had a sample of a few of the sweets and wow they were super delicious. The sweets are fresh and taste amazing. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back to try other things. He said he also ships them anywhere in the country within 2 days.

We ordered two of these boxes! Freshly made sweets and so delicious! You can choose which sweets you want and "create" your own box.

I went in with my brother to check it out, it's not a place you can sit down nor does it have a formal register area. It's a commercial kitchen because this establishment mostly ships out their orders. They have been in business since 1973 and are truly masters of their craft. The owner, Mr. Shaheen, is very friendly and welcoming; he gave us samples and they were so delicious and fresh! We had great conversation and we ended up purchasing two boxes of sweets. We will definitely be back! Quality and customer service is what we look for and this shop was a 10/10

He let me in and when I told him that my mom told me that she only wants mithai from here he made it happen.

But I was expecting more given the depiction of the dish on UberEats. The Chana Masala, Palak Aloo, and Kerahi Shrimp entrees came DRENCHED in what seemed like a gallon of oil, occupying 1/3 of the container which left the contents dripping, even after we poured out the liquid, rendering them inedible. Photo attached for reference. The samosas were good, and reminded us of the samosas that Mehak in Kew Gardens used to make. The naan was large and good, and the mango lassi was also refreshing. But the bulk of the dinner (the entrees) were quite underwhelming and left much to be desired, especially given what we paid for it. Perhaps when dining in-house they do a better job of draining the oil from the dishes, but they certainly don't fare well in transit.

Shirazi Karahi is a spot located in my old neighborhood and I've been meaning to try out their karahi dishes. I somehow managed to make my way here and luckily we got immediately seated with no wait time. The place was almost at full capacity. The dining experience has an elevated diner appeal with booths for families to sit in and some level of privacy. Their Karahi dishes are excellent with their house made rotis or biryani or both if you're down for the carb overload ! ... but next to Karahi dishes (they serve the food in an actual Karahi for that homely feel) their sizzling dishes are just as attractive...don't worry, once you get seated and waiting to give your order, you will see (and smell) the dishes coming out! It's a seated dining experience with an attentive staff, great service and the karahis/ sizzling dishes were on point This is the spot that's great for families, groups of friends , cousins, significant other(s) , spouses, side baes, or main baes.

We ordered the special karahi goat meat and momos, kebabs, and onion and potato kulchas, and everything was amazing. It's been years since I've had goat curry this good. Jackson Heights has no shortage of great Southeast Asian food, so I was excited to give this spot a try. They have dine-in option and plenty of seating upstairs while the downstairs is just for takeout and was much busier. The Steamed Chicken Momos were satisfying, warm, and well-seasoned. There was a bit too much dough for my liking but I did enjoy the flavors. The Tandoori Mix was a nice assortment of various cuts of chicken & beef. Many of the pieces were on the dry side but again, the flavor was there. The Goat Shinwari Karahi is definitely worth getting. The goat was super tender and aromatic and the karahi is fragrant and made well. It's super greasy which I didn't like, and it wasn't served with anything. If you want rice/naan on the side, you need to add that on yourself. Nonetheless, for ~$20, it's still a great deal. The Chicken Biryani was fluffy, aromatic & fragrant, and filled with a good portion of chicken. This was the base for the other dishes we got and truly paired well with everything. The portion was perfect for 4 people and at ~$14, that's an unbeatable price! I also loved the Sesame Naan which scooped up the karahi sauce so well! The Kashmiri Tea here is so good! The pistachios are well incorporated so you don't feel like you're chewing so much while sipping, and the tea is rich & soothing. It's definitely cheap comfort food and we left feeling fill & satisfied but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Solid try!

Heard about how amazing they are for a long time and finally got a chance to try them and I agree it's the best indian food in the city. Nonfussy, homestyle Indian food with attention to quality. They make their paneer in house so you HAVE to get something with paneer. Specifically, their special with paneer-stuffed naan was a game changer with every single note - acid, sour, savory, salt, sweet, chewy, bready, hearty, buttery - it is everything and more. It was one of my favorite bites of 2025. The biryani is absolutely delicious too, with a nice crisp exterior and the meat was soooo tender (we got the dum goat biryani).
