Our company ordered this spot for lunch. Sadly it wasn't memorable of how the food was. Vaguely remember that the wings and chips was good. Nothing too crazy about them. The halal food just mediocre. Rice seemed a bit al dente which I wasn't a fan of. I wouldn't say it was the worse thing i ever ate. But, I wouldn't say the food was good enough to be praised on. I usually do enjoy gyro's from Shah's, but not this location. It didn't taste good, and the parking over there is a nightmare.

I'm not the person that likes to give a restaurant or any place that serves food a rating such low but this place unfortunately deserves it !!! Let's look into the positive side of this cart before I go into the negative. The location of this cart is very well accessible and time they are open are great if your craving food after midnight when most restaurants are closed. The cart did seem to be well maintained from the outside unfortunately cannot tell how its maintained from the inside where it matters the most !!! We knew chicken here was no good based on our last experience so we decided to go with Lamb. Oh my God, the lamb gyro had rotten meat and large chunck of fats that we never had experienced in any other Gyro carts. We know lamb has a smell but this lamb did not taste fresh or smelled fresh like typical meat we are use to ... we decided to throw away the 2 platters we ordered after few bites but unfortunately the horrible taste in our mouth remained :( Avoid this spot if you can and I hope the owner reads this review and changes their way of doing business with regards to having fresh food instead of rotten meat !!! read more

This is pretty good. I liked that it is a good food option near the F train 169th train station. My order was combination lamb and chicken gyro, which was pretty large amount of meat. I found the meal decent and did serve as two meals. I found the white sauce awesome, but I can't for the life of me handle hot sauce...so just one condiment for me. This place is a scam. Yes, prior to 2016 is was ok. 1. The cooks are all scam artists stealing from the owner giving random people small portions. 2. The chicken is cold half the time! The whole point in going to a cart if nothing else is hot food, really???? 3. Flavor, while the lamb hasn't changed much the chicken has gotten blander and blander by the year. Really sad!! I don't know what happened to these guys. They used to be nice and had good service. Just went and bought 12 orders and asked for extra white sauce, the reply I got was "it's a big order how I'm gonna give you extra white sauce" what's the difference if one person ordered that much or if 12 different people ordered. You're a busy location you should be prepared. The guy was closing the boxes I asked if they put pita bread that I asked for he said I didn't ask for that when he puts it he puts like 2 pieces in each box. The food is good but I don't need the person serving me to have an attitude while giving me my food. Not a big fan of their chicken. The lamb is good but there is a better spot on 168th place for that where they use chaat masaala in their gyro. At times the can be a pretty big line which speaks more towards convenience than quality. The stores are better than the carts imo. read more

i guess i am the First to leave a review heere haha.. well i moved to jamaica queens in January and i noticed this halal cart down the block from my house. maaaan i must say for 4 bucks you can get a hefty gyro (chicken, Lamb or Combo of both) and it def hits the spot for the price you pay. if you want a platter which is salad and rice its 2 bucks more and you get a free soda. if you go enough the guys will know your face and know your orders haha well at least for me. after a night of drinking as well and you come get some grub. def go here! read more

BRING BACK RASHEED ! Honestly, he's probably the only reason why I would come to this cart. Everybody else sucks. Rasheed finely cuts the meat so instead of huge chunks it's basically grounded and it tastes delicious that way. Everyone else will skimp you to the max and will give you dry hard over cooked meat. Although the duo here is docile and distant and will look directly through you while they're cooking, this location has been around for a long time and is generally open late. I did not like waiting until I reached the window to start an order when commonplace with 2-man carts speeds the process. Getting technical? It means a lot when you're standing in a no-standing zone in this convoluted junction of Homelawn and Hillside. Nevertheless, the food, sauce, and quantity is on point. I've been coming here for three years and never had a problem. Today I went there's and old guy with a beard he was quiet and then there was the other guy looked like he was in his 30s he was so mean and angry I was going to order three orders but the way he answered and talked back at me I ended ordering one order and left because he seemed so angry the other guy was just calm but he was just so angry and he handed the food back to me angry as well I don't understand why I didn't even do anything I didn't react back either I just took the food and left with my little sister. I come here maybe once or twice every six months. Everybody goes here for some reason because it is " halal" .The food is decent for cheap halal cart food but thats about it. Nothing great.
