As new as this place is, it's sad that I have to leave a low one star review. Went through the drive thru, literally three cars in front of me when I pulled up. You figure it would be quick with only 3 cars but how I was wrong. 47 minutes in the drive thru to get food and it's not like you can get out of line once your in. A simple pastrami and fries with a lemonade ended up being a full Andrew Jackson bill. So much for a lunch combo when it's literally costing you $20 is outrageous and you would think it better be the best pastrami. Nope wrong again just average, bread was soggy and the fries were under cooked and way over salted. Would I come here again....absolutely not. Would I recommend it??? Heck no especially when you can go directly across the street over to New Vintage grill and order a pastrami fries and a beer for less than this place and would be out quicker than sitting in this drive thru. Sad to say but they keep up with the business model, the place will be vacant before it hits 80 degrees in Bakersfield again. read more

I've been going here for the happy hour milkshakes and everything has been great. Today our milkshakes tasted like chemicals. Like maybe the cleaning solution wasn't rinsed properly off the equipment? I'm not sure but it was horrifying to take a sip and have it taste like poison. We were scared to go back since when I said thank you the girl said uh huh. Then we drove away and tried our shakes and just threw them out. Victim of shrinkflation I ordered a large size friy - got home an I could swear it is the same sizwe as what they used to sell as a regular sized fry and the packaging for the regular fry on the other order was much smaller than what they used to sell. Reducing food quantity and raising prices means they just lost a regular customer. Otherwise food is good - no complaints there - the complaint is deceptive practice of shrinkflation. read more

Ok I'll start it off that I have tried this place twice in a weeks time. The first time I was fairly disappointed in the food. The fries were quite good for crinkle fries( I'm not a fan of this style of fry). The burger was juicy but lacked any flavor of seasoning. The bun was good but the toppings weee awful including most notably the pickles. The pickles had to be some of the worst I've ever tasted. The soda was kind of flat and really sweet not real great in my opinion. I ordered sides of zucchini and cheese curds. The curds were really mushy and had a really greasy taste. Wasn't a fan of the zuchini in flavor or the amount of grease flavor. Today I tried it again just to do the fried burritos and soda combo for my kid and I. The burritos were actually really good didn't count my tongue in grease and had a wonderful crispness. The soda was better than the time before. Ok the real reason they have two stars is the staff. The first time the were kind enough for me to say they had good service. Today I started asking about food and the staff couldn't answer. The girl told me she is just a cashier. While I understand what her job is I was thoroughly irritated by her inability to answer my question. Super turtle speed for the orders. 40 dollars later left with A Classic, Grilled cheese, Buffalo Chick-n, Fried pickles (was feelin froggy) and a Vanilla "shake". The food was cold, all that waiting for cold food!! The shake was a melted watery mess not thick or even close to what a shake should be. The Buffalo Chick-N almost broke some of my teeth it was so hard and tasteless. The burger was cold and boring. The grilled cheese was not melted. Looks in this case were not deceiving at all!! We sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes with very little movement and then moved to the walk up window and waited another 30 minutes. Very poorly organized ! I would not go unless you have a lot of time! Very disappointed. After receiving our food, they claimed they were waiting for fries. The fries were not hot and the burger was okay. So I finally decided to try Shake n Bun. I got the lunch special which is a classic burger, fries and a drink for $8.99. I had cheese added to the burger and the total was over $10.50 with tax. I was very pleased with the meal, fries were hot and seasoned. Burger was good, around a 1/4 lbs. and had a nice slice of onion which really added to the flavor of the burger. The food was good, the customer service was terrible. I've ordered online multiple times and picked up in the drive thru. I got a phone call while in the drive thru from an employee saying my food was ready. I let her know I was the next person in the drive thru. She told me I couldn't get my food from that window and that I needed to back out of the drive thru and pick up my order at the walk up window. I walked up to the window. Great customer service! The food is delicious and cheaper than any major chain. Mayo taste like Mayo and meat is good. Fries have great seasoning. And if a mistake is made they will take care of it and you. You can tell the employees really care about the image of the company. read more

Happy they opened up this new location. Good food food service. Even with 5-6 cars in the drive through they moved fairly fast and got my order right. Will keep coming back! My son wanted to get lunch from here and I read the reviews first, so I was skeptical. Ordered lunch for four people, and yes, it was around $50. Ordered 3 original burgers and a western style burger, (fries, onion rings and zucchini to sample a lit bit of everything). I was pleasantly surprised. The burgers had a good quality to them and all of the sides were good too. I don't usually like crinkle cut fries because they tend to be soggy, but these were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. There were 3 cars ahead of me in the drive-thru, but I think I waited about 10 minutes total. Food was hot and fresh and the order was given to me correctly. Will definitely return! read more

This was about three days ago, i decided to try this place because my colleagues told me how good their food was. I expected it to be more on the casual side because it was so small. I was in the drive through with my kids when I heard the manager yelling out slurs from inside. I hope he wasn't yelling at other people like that every day. I don't think I'll come back just because the stuff he was yelling made me uncomfortable. I know if I worked here I wouldn't want someone yelling slurs at me. It's a rather small building and he didn't have to yell for everyone inside to hear him. The only reason I didn't give this one star was because the food was good and the young female employee that helped me was super sweet and even complimented my nails. However that doesn't change the fact that this grown man was acting so irrationally inside while the other employees were working. My family got the family pack, which is $30, and plus an Oreo Mint Shake, which I suggest for you to get if you're visiting. Next, service was okay, but our order got messed up and we had to wait, but it's fine. The ambiance was also average. There wasn't anything weird but it was plain. I waited for my turn and when I ordered two lunch specials I was told the special ended at 2:00 pm. I told the young lady that I got out of the drive through and it is currently 2:04 pm. This place was amazing, they had great burgers and fries. Way better than in and out. i got the classic cheese burger and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly.
