I occasionally grab dinner at this Shake Shack location when I'm flying through Atlanta. I really enjoy Shake Shack in general, and this location offers up the same quality food you could expect from any other. This location isn't always the cleanest out front, but I think that has more to do with patrons hurrying to grab items as they rush around for flights, so you may often see straws, napkins, etc. lying around. I've never had to wait too long for an order here, even when there's a line. So, overall I think the service is pretty good. If you're in the airport and looking for a quick and easy meal, or you're craving a fast food burger, this Shake Shack is a great place to go! read more

Y'all, I have a confession to make, I never had Shake Shack before. I know what you are thinking, "Why would your first try be in an airport?" See, in Pittsburgh, Shake Shack doesn't exist just yet, we don't even get advertisements unlike other businesses. Although I was partaking for the first time I had an understanding of how to order and what to get. Even though they were busy they kept it moving at a quick pace. Orders were going out as fast as they were coming in. I liked the fact that you didn't have to wait for your full order. I had ordered the single ShackBurger. Fairly straightforward cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce. Not sure what composes ShackSauce, but it was subtle. The burger patty had a nice fresh taste and some crust to it. It honestly hit the spot. I was surprised by the fries as well. There are people out there that enjoy crinkle cut fries and then there are those that don't. I'm one that teeters between the two. Sometimes crinkle cut fries can be heavy, sometimes they can be measly, somehow they were able to make the perfect crinkle cut fry. I devoured those fries after I finished off the burger. Over all, I ended up being a fan. I know it's a chain, but it's one that I would revisit, given the chance. read more

I have always heard of this place, so this is my first time trying their burger ordered a double smoke shack and some fries. The burger was great however my double was more like 1 patty and a partial piece of another patty! But being at the airport for several hours in between flights I was too tired to complain and get back in line! Eating Cheeze-its on board those Delta 737's for 8 hours. If Had dropped my burger on the floor, I was so hungry at this point I probably would have scooped up all the pieces off the floor and still ate it! The fries were great! SUPER SLOW SERVICE. I love Shake Shack and always get it whenever I have the opportunity. I had a 40 minute window between connecting flights so thought I had enough time to grab a burger...wrong...it took 25 minutes just to get served, and there were only 4 people ahead of me. The only server taking the orders looked completely disinterested in the job and was frustratingly slow...I get much faster service at the Lincoln Road, Miami location. Being an airport location they should have the service buttoned up and running quickly. I ordered one burger that was delivered to me in a bag large enough for a full family meal. When I asked for ketchup the server pulled them out of her pocket...didn't seem very hygienic. The poor level of service is very unusual for Shake Shack, hopefully the management get involved and fix this. Shake Shack overall is fine. I've been to many of their locations. But Shake Shack at the Atlanta Airport across from gate A27 is awful. As in truly awful. The staff seems annoyed that you are there, and my burger wasn't cooked. It was raw inside. I ate it anyway because I have a flight to catch and hadn't eaten today. Also, their soda fountain was broken. I'm actually giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because of that raw burger. If I don't get sick it proves that they are using high quality meat. If I do get sick, then maybe I can lose ten pounds. So it's a win either way I guess. read more

I caught Shake Shack at two very different times while going through ATL recently and found it very hit or miss. Lemme break it down for ya. Breakfast: There was no line because everyone was at Dunkin' next door. The contrast was appealing and, while I had no idea what Shake Shack offered for breakfast, I figured it has to be good! I ordered a single egg, bacon and cheese sandwich which is served on the same bun as the burgers. I also wanted coffee and their breakfast ads showed iced coffee; however, they only serve hot regular Stumptown coffee which was a bit of a disappointment. That being said, the sandwich hit the spot. Dinner: I ended up near Shake Shack again and my husband wanted it for dinner. The airport was crazy rundown with delays, the line was very long and the group waiting for their food even bigger. Before joining the line, they let us know they ran out of regular buns so were just doing gluten free buns and lettuce wraps. We decided to try the gluten free buns and got a chicken sandwich and SmokeShack with fries. I also ordered and paid for an iced tea to be later told that they only had one glass of lemonade left which was a bit frustrating. From there, it took over 20 minutes for our food to be prepared. For better or for worse, we had a delay, but if we didn't, would've been much more stressed. The GF buns were more crumbly than regular buns but not that bad. The meat was what I've come to expect from Shake Shack and it was cheaper than the outpost in Miami. I'm a fan of Shake Shack in general; however, these experiences left a lot to be desired. If I was nearby again, I probably couldn't resist trying it out one more time but wouldn't urge folks to seek it out unless they end up in this vicinity (A27). read more

As others have recently noted, this location is woefully understaffed. Either that, or not all employees are stepping up. Wait times are unacceptably long at this location, both to place an order and to receive it. The food did come out correctly and at a good temperature. read more

Worst Shake Shack in the whole chain. Piss poor attitude at the counter, wouldn't kill you to smile, if you hate working, go find another job. The food quality was horrible, the burger came out crushed, looked like someone grabbed the buns and smashed it together. My hot dog was burnt and came only with the bun and meat. Had to ask the counter Nazi for condiments. The attitudes of the staff is horrible, it's like we owe them a job, didn't acknowledge the customer, you get a blank stare when trying to get something. So I had just recently eaten at the new location at the Summit in Birmingham, and that one was ok. I've eaten at one in NY and it was really good. This one, was back really wasn't too bad. I was a little nervous about eating here, based on the other reviews, but I had been looking for something for a little bit, that would be kind of quick, and there weren't a lot of options at this end of terminal 'A'. As I approached there was a huge line of people, fortunately waiting for their orders. So placing an order actually went really quick and the staff were all friendly. The menu here is somewhat limited, but has a little something for everyone. 4 burgers, 1 mushroom burger, 1 chicken sandwich, a couple sides, and shakes (soft drinks as well). I just wanted a cheeseburger with bacon, so customized one of the specialty burgers on the menu. Considering the number of people waiting for food, they really got through everyone quickly. My food was fresh and tasted really good. Also, they piled the bacon on high. Fries were fresh and the shake was as good as any other shake shack shake I've previously had. If you're at the end of terminal 'A' and you're kind of in a hurry, this is the place to go. read more

It's not often you'll find me excited about a fast food restaurant-but if and when you do, Shake Shack is probably the reason! Unfortunately there is no location near me so it's always a treat when I do find one on my travels. I stopped into this airport location on a layover and they did not disappoint! I typically get the shroom "burger" but today I decided to go for the classic shake burger with cheese fries. Shake Shack is becoming my favorite burger. I stopped by the new Shake Shack in the Atlanta Airport during a recent business trip. The burger was fabulous, a five star burger! The fries are really good too. The service was less than desired. I know this is Atlanta and I know it is at an airport, so I appreciate the challenge to hire workers who care. There was a long wait caused by confusion behind the counter. Long waits at airport fast food establishments is not good. The workers at the ATL Shake Shack are certainly better than those at the JFK Airport Shake Shack, but that is establishing a low performance bar. Sashaying through review #400 with a commendation to the Atlanta airport outpost of Shake Shack (located at Gate A28). I'm a bit tardy to the party with the SS phenomenon, but today I tried the Chik'n Shack sandwich, with its crispy coating, tender chicken breast (supposedly antibiotic free?), piquant pickles and soft potato roll (I opted to leave off the herb mayo). If you're willing to splurge on your calories a bit, this is a very tasty sandwich. And given the extortionate airport prices, a bargain at $7.95. The deep crinkles in the crispy, not too salty fries also make them too easy to inhale. Sandwiches are prepared a la minute, to order, as opposed to sitting under heat lamps for hours, so the wait time can be longer than your typical fast food joint, but the time is worth it. The staff here are also kind, happy to engage with cranky toddlers and reassure impatient guests. Note that the menu at this airport location is pared down (for instance, they only have an all beef hot dog, as opposed to the more numerous varieties that a brick and mortar store might offer). Also, the only slight disappointment for me was their "50-50" drink--half lemonade, half tea. The lemonade had that tinny, artificial from-concentrate flavor. Me and my sister decided to try this spot out. I happened to be in the area and wanted to kill some time. We chose to dine in, upon arriving there was a bunch of people standing. I had to ask an employee where the line started. During the time we visited, it was the lunch hour. It took about 5 minutes for someone to take our order. I got the shake steak burger with their signature crinkle fries. My sister got the bacon burger, burnt vanilla shake, bacon cheese fries. We waited a while but that was understandable given the time we visited the restaurant. My food was very delicious and it didn't disappoint. My sister ended up getting the wrong order, and she alerted staff. Moments later, they gave her the right order and she had two meals for the price of one. One of the confusing things is parking. You would need to park in the nearby parking garage and you'll have to walk to the restaurant. Parking is 3 dollars for 0-3 hours. read more

Shake Shack is one of my very favorite burgers. In-N-Out Burger is cheaper but far inferior and flavor. Wahlburgers is surprisingly similar in flavor, but features a much higher price point. Shake Shack is a truly delicious burger, as is the shack sauce. The fries are uninspired and can certainly be skipped. Get a burger and a shake instead. You won't be disappointed. By the way, while this Shake Shack is located in an airport, I did not feel the quality of the burger suffered in the least. Literally the worst airport food experience ever. It's Sunday, so Chick-fil-A was closed. I went to shake shack, starving after a 5+ hr flight and being without food for 10 hours. Ordered a shack stack with no shack sauce and a fry. Stood there waiting more than 15 minutes and my food finally came it. But that was okay because I gave myself ample time-- an hour and 45 minutes in between my next flight, which was in the same concourse a few gates away from shake shack. Girl who took my order was rude. The girl who gave my my food was courteous. Ketchup was low, napkins were low. I bring my food back to my gate and sit down to enjoy it. I look at my burger and it's a cheeseburger, not what I ordered. I take all my stuff and rush back to A28 to where shake shack is and let them know hat I received a cheeseburger, when I ordered a shack stack with no sauce. The courteous girl who gave me my food earlier takes my food bag and takes the sandwich out and tells the kitchen that I got the wrong order and asks for a remake. I wait another 10 minutes. I'm handed my order. I look at the bag this time to check before going back to my gate. The order is wrong again and I am given another cheeseburger. I don't know if the kitchen just doesn't know what a shack stack is. I let the girl know that my order is wrong again and that it should have a portobello mushroom cap in it but there's nothing in there besides a lukewarm meat patty with cheese and wilted lettuce. She then tells the kitchen that it's wrong again and they remake my order for a third time. Another 10-15 minutes or so. My flight is now boarding and I have about 10-15 minutes to run back to my gate. Finally get the correct order. I am starving at this point so I reach for some fries to curb my appetite, only to find that they are completely cold. I have to board my flight now so I've got no time to eat. Finally board and sit to enjoy my food and everything is cold. Definitely my worst shake shack experience of all the times I have frequented this fast food establishment (both in airports and at regular locations) and worst airport food experience to date. read more

I saw other people who were waiting but who walked off (even though they already paid) because the wait was so long. They have no customer service experience & everyone there acted as if they didn't even want to be bothered with humans today. I refuse to be talked to any kind of way & treated poorly. This place needs to implement customer service training asap. The manager wasn't present for me to make a verbal complaint but they all need help. This place & the staff is awful.
