Haven't been to the Shack in a number of years. Not a fan of their burgers as they are microscopically thin and usually nuke them. They don't compare to a great restaurant burger, so I save having a burger for those types of places. My JETBLUE flight is now delayed 5 hours, and Shake Shack is next to my gate... now's the time! I have to say it was a good choice. The place was packed, the order line was long, and people were standing everywhere waiting for their orders. The manager was doing a great job keeping people organized and helped to keep everything going smoothly. After ordering 2 Chicken Sandwiches and an iced tea, I thought it would take 30 minutes to prepare. Surprisingly, just 7 minutes. The Chicken Sandwich was great. Shake Shack draws me in now and then. It's a once in a while treat and while waiting for my flight to Florida I saw this location and immediately had the craving for a shack burger and crinkle cut fries. Pricing and quality was consistent with other locations of this chain which was nice to see there wasn't an increase due to airport price gouging. There was a bit of a line but the wait wasn't too long and the food came out quickly. There is seating here but not a lot so you might have to wait or find another seat to dine at by your gate. read more

The food was spot on. But the service was less to be desired. It could've been because I was there at 9 PM on a Monday. But everyone look like they were basically almost done with their day. It took a long time (10-15 min fora shack burger and fries) to get my food and from what I saw everyone seemed to not be in a rush, preparing the food. It's hard to find a small bottle drink and I accidentally took a sparkling water. The condiment area is fairly clean unfortunately they don't have ketchup packets so that was a bit wasteful to use the cups and the ketchup pump. They should really swap out the bacon with the sausage patty if this is their highest marked breakfast item. I always spell out my name if that's how they call out the orders. Yet they still got it wrong. I did not say "JONNY". Food comes out at a normal - made to order - pace. Decent seating area for the fact that this is at an airport. Didn't mention the rest of the food because it's a franchise. Doesn't vary too much from location to location. My flight was delayed, and I hadn't been to Shake Shack in AGES. I had a sudden craving for delicious crispy crinkle fries, so headed over. This location, like others in NY, serves beer, wine, and canned cocktails. But I wasn't interested. What DID interest me was the veggie burger, since it wasn't on the menu in CO the last time I went to a Shake Shack here. So I ordered one. I had tried the portabella mushroom burger long ago, and liked it, but the veggie burger sounded awesome. This location doesn't take cash. I had forgotten that they don't in CO, either. The line moved quickly, at least until I had to dig out my debit card. Service was efficient if not effusive. Had to wait a while until my $17 worth of veggie burger and plain fries arrived. They fill the bags assembly-line style. So all the fries sat under a heat lamp as the burgers were cooked. My name was called, and I went back to the gate. There I discovered that not only were the fries undercooked and sad, also barely warm, but that they had given me a HAMBURGER with crispy onions. Sigh. At that point, the flight was finally getting ready to board. No time to run back to Shake Shack. Huge disappointment. The receipt clearly said "Veggie burger" and my name was spelled correctly and called out. It's sized about right for an airport kiosk, with some seats and three or so cash registers. The cooks were in constant motion to keep up with orders. I don't know if I'd go back. I didn't see green chile on the menu, and I really like that. Must be regional, or I missed it. We had time before our flight home so we got breakfast sandwiches. Cashier was polite and quick. We got our egg & cheese and sausage & egg sandwiches quickly. It wasn't crowded so we got stools at the bar area. Could watch the people coming down the escalator. When it is crowded, you can sit in the nearby seating area and watch planes on the tarmac. This is the Shake Shack in Terminal B of La Guardia Airport. Very short line to place our order. There was a long line of people waiting for their food, but it moved quickly. Generally impressed with the new Terminal B in LaGuardia, which have a plethora of options even if you find yourself here at a little before 6am. Did you know that Shake Shack serves breakfast? Neither did I - and I wasn't in the mood for a burger (jk, they have breakfast sandwiches), but after looking at the cost of the breakfast items at the nearby spot across from shake shack ($12.50 breakfast egg sandwich and $5 for a coffee :o forget that!) I figured I'd give Shake Shack a shot. For around $9 I got a bacon, egg and cheese that was made on one of their hamburger buns along with a great cup of coffee. They gave a generous amount of bacon and I was surprisingly pleased with my choice. I sat at the counter that provided the border for their space. Overlooking the escalators coming into this section. As I was sitting I was treated to a lightening sky and an impressive sunrise through the floor to ceiling windows across the way. All and all not a bad way to spend some time waiting for my flight. read more

We had hoped to have a sit down breakfast before our flight, but there was nothing anywhere at our early time, so we settled on Shake Shack. Oddly enough, I had never been to a Shake Shack before. The lines are a bit confusing and people were milling all around, but we finally figured out where to place our order and then to go stand in a different line for pick up. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was egg, bacon, cheese and tater tots. I didn't wait more than 3-4 minutes and food arrived, served in a cardboard box for easy carrying. The sandwich was piping hot, and the flavors were all good. The cheese was nice and melted, and the bacon cooked well. Wasn't sure how I would like the tater tots on the sandwich, but I did! They added a nice crunch. I think there was some sort of hot sauce on the sandwich which only enhanced all the flavors. I would definitely return here again. I wish they had more drink options. The Mango Naked drink I bought was $6 and 300 calories. Yikes! read more

Took it back, the server agreed it was inedible, and they kindly and promptly got a new burger made for me! Took a bite of this one- same issue. Slightly more cooked sure, but still pink?. Photo shows second burger. Went back again and asked for refund, which they weren't able to give because the worker who checked me out was on break for the next 30 min. Convenient location within the LGA airport. Even with a line, the wait isn't too long. There are a couple different registers and staff are efficient. I quickly ordered and paid in line. My go-to is the Shroom Burger (vegetarian). The mushroom is crispy and bursting with a mix of cheese inside. I love the buns they use here, but keep in mind the sizes are pretty small. This is more like a big snack than a filling meal. The Shack sauce is great too. After ordering, in the right side is where you wait for your name to be called. It was really quick, to my surprise. I ate here during a layover. I was familiar with the chain and liked it, and I have to say, they do a good job here. They were very fast - much faster than the Shake Shack I normally go to. I got a smoke shack burger with fries and a small drink; they were good and I liked them. The dining area was a bit small but fortunately I was able to find a place to sit and eat. I got the small drink, which proved to be almost comically small, but at least they gave me a free refill. If I was hungry at LaGuardia, I would eat here again. read more

I mean it is Shake Shack! The setup is quite confusing as the ordering line is much larger in space than the pick up area. I along with a lot of people walked into the pickup line when we were intending to order. My doubleshack burger was ready in less than 10 minutes, which was pretty good considering how crowded it was. All the condiments are kept with the employees so you do have to ask them for those, all customers have access to is ketchup, napkins, and straws. And of course the burger was juicy and delicious, the Martin's potato roll is probably the best burger bun to be found. There is no space for seating, but the terminal has plenty of seating, even if there aren't a lot of tables. I'm thinking that would have been a problem had I ordered bacon cheese fries. read more

After seeing it all over social media when my friends travel to the states, i was so excited to try Shack Shack when I found out it was at the airport (LGA). The line up was long but it moved very quickly. The waiting area is a bit awkward to get your food but they have these lovely beepers that will let you know when your food is ready. Wish Shake Shack would come to Toronto! It is located at a smaller airport of LGA, so you will see it right at Terminal B close to where the Info Desk is. I loved the cheeseburgers and crinkle cut fries, and the burger was very juicy and flavourful. The chocolate milkshake was also delicious! The line moves reasonably fast, and they give you a buzzer when waiting to pick up the food. The burgers were available in the early morning as well, so it was convenient for travellers. The line is always super long and if you're lucky, maybe you'll find a table with enough surface area to eat without spilling your burger over a total stranger sitting right next to you. Granted, there aren't many options in this terminal for food so your options are limited. And to be fair - their food is pretty standard no matter what Shake Shack you visit. But maybe that's my gripe: why can't each Shake Shack provide it's own twist or new menu item to keep things fresh? As for their burgers: they're great. Especially the mushroom burger. Their fries? Full of grease that will beg for more statin medication than your local pharmacy could ever supply. Beware of this place if you're looking to quickly "hop in and hop out" given the long lines that you'll always find. But hell, at least you'll get a burger before you board the flight! read more
